Stayed at this wonderful old Castle in Khandela India, what a treasure, rooms were welcoming and very comfortable, we were welcomed like royalty by the staff, with a traditional welcome complete with Lei. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made sure everything was OK and we had wonderful meals at the rooftop restaurant and in the garden. Would...

I stayed at Castle Khandela for two nights and I wish I could've stayed longer. The castle offers good service and tranquility. The rooms are simple, clean and nicely furnished. You can sit in the peaceful garden, watch the parrots and drink your tea. At night it is so quiet that you forget that you are in India. The town...

Unique castle stay on the edge of a beautiful, friendly, bustling town. The room was well appointed and the bathroom had a great shower. The public areas were very interesting with many artefacts on show. The garden was delightful to sit in and relax. We enjoyed very much meeting Dr Singh and learning more about the area and the family...

A very welcoming place, attentive and friendly staff. The owners take personal interest in the well being of their guests, and we liked that. They run a charitable dispensary from the same premises. The gentleman running the show is said to be the 18th generation Raja of the area, and he has lots of history to share. If driving on...

Take your time to visit this city in the countryside of Jaipur. The Maharajah welcomed us and is a very charming gentleman, you feel like at home. The hotel rooms are big, well decorated and very clean. In this city you will find a lot of local people (very friendly) who work in the handicraft, old hovels, temples of 600...

Utterly charming. Excellent service. Run by the Maharajah himself who is a charming gentleman and very well informed. We were offered a local guide who was invaluable and much better than the guide we travelled with. All doors were opened to him as he came from the Maharajah. We were in a delightful suite with a lovely ambience and decor....

From the arrival, where we were garlanded and flower petals falling from above on us, this hotel is amazing. Is is an old castle and the Raja Dr. Sigh lives there. He came over to meet us for tea and then again had dinner with us. He arranged for one of his staff to give us a walking tour of...

This is a small and welcoming hotel. Our rooms were a nice size and decorated with old furniture that fit the historic building. The owner arranged for someone to walk with us through the town which helped us see more than we would have otherwise. We visited a school, an old home, the market, saw a potter throwing pots and...

Castle Khandela is the only place to stay in the village called Khandela. Half of the property has been converted into a hotel, small part - into a hospital runned by the owner himself and the rest is shut down. There is huge area for parking inside. To reach the castle one has to go through narrow streets and markets...
