We stayed here for 4 nights and were happy with our choice. We stayed in a large rorbuer (Waterfront Deluxe Cottage). The interior is modern and in a very good condition. It was mostly clean - only the kitchen could have been cleaned a bit better. However, if you are looking for a rorbuer this is a good choice. You... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in a superior, 1 bedroom cabin, as part of a fly-drive tour of Lofoten. The open plan living area was comfortable, very spacious and nicely refurbished with a well equipped kitchen area, should you wish to cater for yourself. Our idea of self-catering is a simple diy breakfast in the cabin and to eat out... More

My husband and I doesn’t drive so we have very limited choices in finding accessible accommodation in Lofoten (key challenge: ferry / flight doesn't always correspond with land transfer timing). After reading good reviews from TA, we settle with Eliassen which situated at a more exclusive location. Our Cabin #19 has windows facing the sea. It offers a close up... More

These rorbuer were always good, but the recent reconvations have taken them to a new level. Clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a self catered holiday. There are lots of small things that set it apart and make it better than other rorbuer- the sheets are already on the bed and included in the price, excellent fast... More

We stayed there for a week. The location was great in three aspects. First it was easy to access hiking routes in both directions. Secondly, it was perfectly located to get groceries and fresh seafood. Thirdly, the scenery there is great. The cabin was perfect for us and we highly recommend it. There is a washing machine and a tumbler... More

We stayed here for a few nights on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The property is easy to get to and easy to find. The accommodations are good (Clean, Comfortable, Inviting). We stayed in one of their larger cottages which was too big for just the two of us but it would have been perfect for a family. It... More

A must stop and stay for everyone going to Lofoten, although honestly I don't want this place got packed with too many people and then spoiled the scenery view and serenity of this little village. We stayed at 31# cottage, one of the four just down the bridge on the entry, but enjoying probably the most beautiful view over the... More

Scenically a wonderful location, but you need a car to access restaurants, grocery. Reine is about 4km south. Office staff were friendly and helpful, cottage spotless and well set up kitchen with nice appliances. We cooked in and enjoyed being self reliant. Deck areas on the docks were just outside our door. Eliassen's is a large scale operation, with over... More

I loved this rorbuer, it overlooked the fjord which we saw in all weathers! It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and had excellent wifi reception. To really go and see the surrounding areas you need a car, but there are plenty of walks to do, plus you can hire bikes and a rowing boat comes with the rorbuer. It was... More

Hamnoy is a tiny little island in the Lofoten chain which is basically the hotel, a port and another couple of private accommodations. You'll probably have seen a picture of the location/backdrop and it really is that stunning. Reception was friendly and helpful pretty much whoever you were dealing with. Location is good though there's not much in the way... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
There is a place on Earth where the Sun never sets, the Northern lights never cease to amaze, and the landscape changes constantly, the wind never stops blowing and the people always smile. These are the Lofoten. Eliassen Rorbuer is a holiday resort with fishermen’s cabins, enjoying the longest tradition in the tourist industry in Lofoten. We offer accommodation in a traditional fishermen’s cabin camp, in the most beautiful western part of the Lofoten Islands. It is situated on the tiny island of Hamnøy in Western Lofoten, the Moskenes municipality. The island is the last one in the archipelago to have the road link. Currently the Lofoten Islands are mainly associated with fishing, which takes place from January to April, alongside the entire archipelago. All of our cabins are new renovated and got a new floor, kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Welcome to refreshed Eliassen Rorbuer! ... more   less
