Hotel is located a few blocks from the fish market, restaurants, and the painted village on the hill. Felt safe walking in the area. Room was small but clean. Decent "American breakfast" was included in our booking. Ferry terminal is about 20 minutes walk.

I stayed with my kids this weekend. The hotel itself was nice. The room was spacious and spotless clean. But the location was in the middle of nowhere. There are bars and unpleasent places around. I would not recommend this hotel to those with families. My kids asked me what were these strange bars around. I had no answer for...

My friend and I booked a deluxe twin and we love the harbor view every morning when we woke up from the balcony... the hotel staff are friendly too. But they served simple breakfast... recommend you to go out for breakfast.

We, a group of 20 odd of Indian and Filipinos stayed at this hotel for 10 days for official visit. The hotel was liked by all of us. Clean & hygenic. Huge rooms, mordern fittings in bathrooms. Location is nice and walkable distances to many hangouts, utility stores, fast food joints like Dominos, etc. as well as local food. Hotel cafe...

The hotel and its location was perfect for what we wanted out of it. A comfortable, quiet room; a great shower, a great bed. Location-wise, Tongyeong itself is a great central location to explore the southern coast. The harbor that the hotel sits on is quiet, which is nice. But a short ten minute walk away is a much more...

We stayed at the Anchovy over the Easter holiday. It's a lovely hotel - very clean. The staff are excellent - really friendly. We asked for directions to a fish barbecue restaurant and the staff printed off a map and ordered a taxi - the restaurant turned out to be a gem. Our spacious room overlooked a lovely working harbour...

This hotel is lovely, situated near a working small-boat harbour in the scenic city of Tongyeong. It is conveniently located for touring the downtown market area and catching ferries to the famous islands of Hallyeohasang national park. The new brunch café is an exquisite gem, offering incredible food and excellent coffees in a lovely little setting. Service is friendly and...

I was very skeptical given the area and the lack of recognizable hotels. But, to my surprise, this hotel was very nice. The price was reasonable. The staff was very friendly. The standard toiletries in the spacious room was better than most hotels. Also, it was very clean. It is very close to a bunch of restaurants and a 24...

“Ask for a room with a harbour view. Like most towns in Korea (with the exception of Seoul) Tongyeong can be overcrowded at the weekend - midweek is a better experience and better value.”
