The hostel is located in Agios Ioannis - the Kaspakas seaport village, located 7 km from the capital of Limnos, Myrina. The beach of Agios Ioannis is one of the largest and most picturesque of the island. Small bays, each with its own style: sandy, rocky or pebbly ("Tourkos", "Prassas", "Karvounolakkas" etc.). The rooms are "para thin alos", literally "on the beach"! Garden with flowers, vines, small trees, grass and stone structures dominate the space. The spacious parking and a quiet cafe complete your pleasant stay.The quietness, the view and the sound of the sea offer serenity and relaxation to visitors.

We ordered with my familly (children 2 and 3 yrs) the bungalow right at the beach. It was a twin house with shared terace. After 3 days of nice stay, the hotel manager placed next to our apt. strong smoking old couple. Durring first night they completely filled up our rooms with cigar smoke, so one of our sons got Bronchytis attack and was hospitalized in Myrina. Trying to solve this situation with the hotel, the manager told me that in Greece is allowed to smoke everwhere and offered us to move to another aparment with poor contact with the sea air. Beside this, the hotel staff made a talk to the couple and agreed with them to smoke outside the shared terace. Eventough the continued smoking after few days on they terace again. Fortunately we rent a car and spent the rest of our days making all day long trips aroud the island. In general friendly staff, nice place, food store on the other side of the road. But the familly needs understanding should be better. From my point of view, this place is not much suitable for famillies with small children.…

Parathinalos Studios is not far away from Myrina and its location is very close to the sea, actually is on the seaside of Agios Ioannis. It's an amazing place, by having the wonderfull sea view all the day, seeing the romantic sunset in the afternoon and hearing the lyric sound of waves in the evening. It's the best place for someone that would like to relax and have unforgetable holidays. The "private" beach (just in front of the rooms) is very good choice for swimming, if you don't want to visit the several beautiful beaches of Limnos. Nevertheless, the most important thing is the nice people there ! Nontas (the owner) and his team were always so polite, friendly and helpful that we felt like at our home. Without them, we couldn't spend the great holidays we had. The room was spotlessly clean, with daily service, and A/C, TV, WiFi, etc. There is also a small cafeteria where you can get drinks, or coffee, or the most delicious greek salad that we have ever had. Advice : when you visit Limnos, it would be really a pity if you didn't stay at Parathinalos !…

Some ten minutes from the noisy port of Myrina, in an idyllic location, Agios Ioannis, Parathinalos studios offer a relaxing set up for enjoyable holidays. So close to the sea, if you ask what you recall after you staying there, you will certainly say the sound of the waves and the iconic sea view, including the unique daily sunsets. Rented studio n. 5, I believe the most amazing one, on the first floor, just in front of the sea, I enjoyed my breakfast in the beautiful veranda, prepared in a small though, adequately equipped kitchenette. There was also the option to get either a delicious bougatsa or a cheese pie from the mini market close to the studio, or ask Nondas, the owner to make you a toast with a nice freddo cappuccino coffee to kick off the day. Clean and taken care of, as daily service was also on duty, the studio could host a couple with two young kids. Although the photos on the site showed spacious studio, it was not exactly the case. TV and A/C were available as well as wifi too. Neighbors respected quietness, though you could not avoid social talks until 23.00, before enjoying the sound of silence and waves, and a great starry sky. The owner and the staff were extremely kind and helpful, providing detailed guidelines about where to go, where to swim, where to eat, in general how to spend fantastic holidays in Lemnos. Nevertheless, the "private" beach was equipped with comfortable sun beds and parasols, in case you wanted to avoid moving around the island! We chose this place for its location close to the sea. However we were disappointed to see that the view from our supposedly side sea view room was solely to a nearby construction site. To make thongs worse the quality of the room was really poor. For the first three days there was a stuffy smell of mold coming out of the bathroom. We had to keep all windows open continuously to get rid of the smell. The furniture is very old, the tv is from the previous century, the wifi signal was so weak that was hardly noticed by our devices and we even found a dead cockroach under the bed! Perhaps we were given the worse room in the building for a price that is 50%higher than the competition in the area. When we complained we were told that this room is actually one of the best!!! Nevertheless our experience was not positive at all.…

Ευχαριστούμε για το σχόλιο σας , όμως καλό θα ήταν αφού μπήκατε στη διαδικασία να το κάνετε, τουλάχιστον να γράφατε τα πράγματα όπως πραγματικά είναι. Είμαι ,μεταξύ άλλων , υπεύθυνη για την καθαριότητα των δωματίων και θυμάμαι πολύ καλα πως τις μισές τουλάχιστον μέρες από αυτές που μείνατε στο κατάλυμα μας δεν μας αφήσατε να μπούμε στο δωματιο για τον απαραίτητο καθημερινό έλεγχο . Το γεγονός αυτό σε συνδυασμό με το ότι νωρίτερα αυτό το καλοκαίρι, είχε προηγηθεί διαδικασία απεντόμωσης ειχε ως αποτέλεσμα να βρείτε το έντομο που απαθανατίσατε ευχαρίστως με την κάμερα σας . Για την καθαριότητα των δωματίων δεν υπαρχει λογος να πω απολύτως τίποτα καθώς όλες οι υπόλοιπες κριτικές που έχει δεχθεί το κατάλυμα είναι κάτι παραπάνω από θετικές. Όσον αφορά τη θέα ,για την οποια είπατε επίσης τα χειρότερα, σας θυμίζω πως πήρατε αυτό ακριβώς που συμφωνησατε και πληρώσατε. Ένα side sea view δωματιο δηλαδή που από τα 2/3 του μπαλκονιού βλεπει θάλασσα. Το υπόλοιπο 1/3 το οποίο και απαθανατίσατε όντως δείχνει αυτο που περιγράφετε . Παραμένει παρ όλα αυτά , το 1/3 . Τέλος σε ότι αφορά στο οικονομικό , υπάρχουν πολύ αξιολογα καταλύματα στο νησί με μοντέρνα διακόσμηση και επίπλωση που κοστίζουν όμως αρκετά παραπάνω από αυτο που εσείς πληρώσατε . Τα συμπεράσματα , δικά σας. Καλή συνέχεια , με καλή διάθεση πάνω απ ολα.

Parathinalos Apartments is located right at Agios Ioannis beach. If you like a nice, quiet place and friendly people, then this is it. The apartments are small, but very clean. We welcomed the airco in the room during the hot summer afternoons. There is a small cafeteria where you can get drinks and a good Greek Salad with very tasty tomatoes. The staff was also very nice with our boys. They really felt right at home.

A frequent traveller and visitor of Parathinalos on the beautiful bay of Agios Ioannis we will continue to come here for many years to come. The villas and apartments are only a stonethrow from the beach and we have enjoyed many beautiful sunsets from the cafe from where you can get snacks and drinks in the shade of grapewines. Also try the white wine from Limnos - it is exquisite! The place is a family business and the service, local knowledge and the always friendly feel of Parathinalos are few of the many reasons why we always keep coming back. The room was clean and roomy. All have balconies (sea or mountainview) and the villas are very nice with bedroom and livingroom and some with beachfront terraces. Many taverns and beachbars are within walking distance and a minimarket is just on the other side of the road. A prime location on Agios Ioannis! The main city of Myrina is in close proximity just 6km away. Stop by the small shop Kaspakines Lichoudies in Kaspakas (3km) to get local and homemade pastries and sweets. The beach of Agios Ioannis is with soft rocks but just 20-30 meters left you will find beautiful sandy and clear waters with small fish. The beach is organised with umbrellas and lounge chairs. Walk 2-3 minutes down the beach to see the nice church of Agios Fanourios by a small cave. Limnos is definetly an undiscovered gem and the beaches and sights can easily keep up with other islands we have visited - such as Rhodes and Corfu which are much more run down and out of touch with the traditions of the real Greece. We were also surprised to learn that Europes oldest city is placed on Limnos (Poliochni, 35min by car)! We will always recommend both Limnos and Parathinalos to our family and friends!…
