This is the first time I write review in social media, as my experience with Aranyaka resorts is spell bound, fantastic hospitality, food, cleanliness, spacious rooms, parking facility, staff gesture, what not no words to express undoubtedly go for it. Though we loved to travel (most of our trips are spontaneous) we were not able to do any for the last one year due to the Covid -19 pandemic and the related lockdown. Last week an unexpected opportunity drop by and we grabbed it and we were on our way to Munnar. Reached there by early evening. We stayed at Aranyaka resort in Pallivasal. It is really an awesome place with the spectacular view of water fall from our cottage. The scenery in front of us was picturesque. We spent rest of the day sitting idle at our balcony while enjoying the hot samosas and the Munnar tea from the resort. (Yes, it is true, the taste of tea increases with height). Later we strolled through the garden enjoying the Munnar chill breeze. You can see colors wherever you turn your head, in forms of leaves flowers, birds, etc. Really admire the well kept land scaping through out the premises. In the later days we visited the places suggested by the resort. Excellent location to stay.
The accommodation included a buffet type breakfast (South, North & Continental). The view from the cafeteria was superb. We enjoyed the stillness of the mountains while sipping the Tea.
About the stay, the things we liked are the courteous staff who are eager to help, cleanliness of the premises, the food and the service provided. We also noticed that the management was keen to improve the facilities that they provide and for this they were always taking the opinions and suggestions of all the customers which is exceptional. We left Munnar with handful of home made chocolates, fresh bunches of carrots and different flavored tea leaves. We are planning a trip to Aranyaka again with our daughter who couldn't make this time.

I chose Aranyaka Resorts for one night stay during my Munnar visit in Dec 2022. After seeing the pictures on few travel portals and their website, I called Mr G Rajesh to do a direct booking, not realizing that I was making the biggest mistake of my life.
As I travelling throughout the day, I chose to check in at night (around 8:30 PM). The resort is located quite away from the main road with NO major sign board or directions that can lead me to this resort. The road to the resort was quite narrow and rough without any street lights, sign boards. Thanks to GOOGLE, we somehow reached the resort.
The front desk guy - Jobin was quite sluggish and took almost an hour to complete the check in formalities. Thereafter no porter to carry our luggage to the room ( we were quite tired), which was at a height. No room heater was provided although the staff first confirmed that they will send one. The food we ordered was quite cold, as if they had stored in refrigerator. The hot coffee was cold too.
Next morning , the complimentary breakfast buffet was okayish. when we complained to the manager - Jaison, he really wasn't interested.
Just one good aspect was the waterfall visible from the room's balcony.
Overall DEFINTELY not worth the money.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Most recommended for couples and family and everyone. The USP is Waterfall view and sound, food, scenic location, passing fogg in the evening and night, hotel staff, services… basically everything! View is to die for. I felt like sleeping on the balcony for the view. Hotel staff is prompt, polite and very helpful. God bless everyone for making our stay so wonderful.

First of all Aranyaka the name it’s self represent “Forest Book” the view and resort property is amazing. From owner, property manager and all staff are accommodating and welcoming whenever ever we ask any requests they take care and full fill them. Staff take care of all small details from morning tea and breakfast call and all timing. Overall over stay was pleasant and amazing honeymoon place to be and great property to stay 😀

Forgot about all your troubles and visit here for a weekend! The perfect place to visit for couples and families, categorised by rooms and cottages all give a good feel to the visit! Picturesque view of the waterfalls is an added attraction. P.S. very good sanitization procedures are being followed in lieu of COVID restrictions, had a safe and sanitized stay for 2 days! The room and bathroom are big, but maintenance is poor, we had to get bedsheets changed room recleaned still the blanket was moist and itchy. Wardrobes were infested with cockroaches many tiny insects all around room. View from room was excellent. The staff rolled over luggage strolly to room which destroyed wheel of my luggage though I told road is not good and will hurt my luggage get some electric buggy.

It’s really a very good resort we were here for two nights all the staff and the manager of the resort are of cooperative nature. If we look about the infrastructure than it’s very good and attractive with 24 hour’s cleanup. The most advantage of the location of the resort is that you can have a natural water fall in front of your rooms. As soon as you open your eyes by morning you can get the view of all natural are of hills.

The hotel is located behind Tata tea Pallivasal estate. They have an excellent view of the Attukad waterfalls from almost all the rooms except one or two. The approach road to the resort is very difficult, I could not imagine what would be its condition in momsoon. The resort does not have a spa or bar or recreation room or indoor sports. The food is above average. Basic facilities like hair dryers should be added in the baths though. Rooms have large balconies with wonderful sunrise. Room service is good and prompt although the hotel only provides one bottle of water (non packaged) per day. On 22nd of Jan 2020 (our second night of stay) the sleep was abruptly disturbed by the hotel staff rolling metal gas cylinder in the walkway and making loud noise. The hotel does not have a lift and the climb from main gate to rooms is too steep for older people. All in all if you are a fan of the view chose this property.
