We spent 2 nights here in September and we loved it. We found it a bit difficult to find as it is just a door in a small street but when you go through that 2 wooden doors, you enter into a little paradise. Lasse and Biggi (and their lovely dog, forgot her name) gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. We had a nice and very clean room with a good bathroom and a little terras outside where we sat in the evening to admire the stars. The pool with the amazing view is really great. The sunbeds are very comfortable and the fridge with the honesty bar is within reach. The location is very rural and quiet but also beautiful. Breakfast (including the view) is delicious. Biggi and Lasse are great hosts and we really enjoyed our stay

All you can wish for in an BnB! Very nice location in this small rural village. The hosts are most welcoming and the feeling is that we visit them in their home not as guests but as longtime friends. The view is stunning and breathtaking. The rooms are very nice, cozy and spacious. The pool is crystal clear. The food served is worthy a Michelin-star establishment. We can wholeheartedly recommend Pura Vida.

Very cosy Bed & Breakfast. Lasse and Biggie, the owners, spoil you with lovely breakfasts and fantastic dinners. We enjoyed every moment. The pool site is also very nice to spend the day. From their B&B you can visit a lot of places in Andalusia. Think of Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Malaga.

The forth time we spent in this place. Yes, It's easy to get adicted to the hospitality by Biggi & Lasse. The rooms are really nice decorated with small details, comfortable beds. Not to mention the food. A four course dinner and a huge breakfast. Everything excellent served and presented in a very nice way. Even our dog love the place and wants to come back and play with Lasse & Biggi's dog Zoey. We will be back soon!

We had a lovely meal with friends here last night. Excellent food, everything fresh, very tasty and beautifully presented. The owners were attentive, but not intrusive. The surroundings are chic and comfortable. We will definitely return again, and again. As we live locally, we did not need accommodation, but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel.

We stayed at Pura Vida for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute! After a marvelous ride in the Andalusian mountains, we found this B&B located in the middle of Andalucia and surrounded by olive yards. Its location is really perfect to explore the cultural heritages of the Andalusian cities, but we also enjoyed sportive activities such as hiking in the Torcal stone formations, and biking to the lake of Iznajar. Even more importantly, the new owners Kristof and Anke, are very friendly and do everything to make you feel at ease. They will ensure that you spend your time in relax conditions. Anke is a wonderful cook, preparing delicious dishes. The rooms are very large, beautifully decorated and foreseen of everything you need. We truly enjoyed our days in Pura Vida: opening your eyes in the morning with a beautiful view on the olive yards, followed by a tastful and fresh breakfast, spending a day in this spendid region and ending it with a marvelous meal.... Need to say more? Thanks, Kristof and Anke!

"Casa Pura Vida". The name is really well choosen. We stayed a fiew days in thisbeautiful B&B, located in a small village in the middle of nowhere. By 'nowhere' we actually mean: surrounded by fantastic cities as Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada. Very nice rooms, great meals at fair prices, and nice talking to the belgian couple running this B&B. Our tips : we took a low cost flight (Ryanair) to Malaga and a low cost rental car (Cargest.es), so my (beautiful;-) girlfriend and I saved som money in order to stay an extra day in this peace of paradise in southern Spain.
As Schwarzenegger used to say : " I'LL BE BACK "

As soon as we entered the front door of La Pura Vida (which is brand new by the way) we knew this was going to be one of our best B&B experiences so far! the patio has a splendid view over a valley, and the figue trees give this place an exotic aura. When entering the rooms, you feel like walking into a design-hotel-suite, and breakfast and dinner are splendid. You can ask the chef (Alain) to prepare your favourite dish because they don't cook "a la carte". Best of all is of course to go for the Chefs suggestions :-) There are some cosy little towns nearby, and La Pura Vida is situated in the middle of the major Andalucian cities (Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla)

We are a family of 4 (with older teenagers) from US and we felt fortunate to stumble into this beautiful place! The place is located in a small town amongst miles and miles of olive groves. We didn't know Spain is the biggest producer until we saw this part of the region. The B&B is actually located very conveniently for many short day trips including Granada and the beautiful Iznajar. We stayed in the Canela room which was very comfortable for us 4 (esp love the dual sinks). Anke and Kristof are such friendly and nice hosts - they made us felt very welcomed, for example, we had to leave early one morning to rush to Alhambra for a 10am reservation due to my own poor planning and they were so kind to pack some quick snacks and water for us on the road. Lessons learnt - probably should have made an afternoon reservation as Alhambra is very strict on the timed entry that you booked online. My kids especially enjoy the lovely pool, ping pong and trampoline - it was a great break for them in the hot Andalusia sunny afternoon after sightseeing in morning. We also had a fantastic dinner there and Anke is such a good cook! The dinner was delicious from appetizer to dessert! It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed the outdoor dinner along with other fantastic interesting guests. Overall we had a great experience there and hope to return some day!

Shortly after making the booking we were contacted by Anke to see if we needed directions and to confirm the location. We were able to keep in constant contact which was very assuring.
We were welcomed by Anke and Kristof with complimentary drinks and snacks (Tapas). They were very helpful by explaining about the area, breakfast and provided us with a booklet of places near by.
In general the whole hotel is very nice, clean and modern. We especially liked the extras; the trampoline, the ping pong table, the sitting areas (including hammocks) and the pool. The views were also very beautiful.
Pool: This was a lovely, clean salt water pool. The water was warm, there were 3 parasols, quite a few sun loungers and some with extra padding for comfort. There were complimentary pool towels in the basket to help yourself to. There was also a fridge with drinks and ice cream that you could purchase to enjoy by the pool. Once again great views.
Room (Chez Mila): We especially enjoyed the mattress and pillows, they were so good we are hoping to buy the same for home. The air con was very good and kept you cool on a hot night. The decor was very nice in the room. One thing we would have expected is shutters in the bedroom, especially in a sunny place in Andalucia where it gets very bright in a morning. Little touches like having a couple of drinking glasses and a bottle of water was really nice, because many places don't do this. The bathroom was very nice and clean, the shower area was good. The only thing that needed improving was the lighting. The room had a private terrace, which meant it was our little outside area. We were expecting it to be private as in you would have some privacy. It was our own space, however you had no privacy because to your left you had the dining area and there was nothing to create a barrier and give you privacy and to your right you had the Sweet Sunset room terrace with no barrier either. Luckily the room next door was vacant during our stay. Even though we were advised there were 3 routers in the hotel, we did not get any wifi signal in our room, terrace or the pool. We could only get a signal when we were in the breakfast area.
Breakfast: breakfast was included and the choice was good. There was fruit, freshly pressed orange juice, fresh bread, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese, freshly grated tomato for a Spanish breakfast, butter, jams, fresh pressed coffee, tea and herbal teas. We were offered bacon and eggs every day. We also got a small yummy pancake each on two of the three days we stayed, one croissant each every day and a nice mango smoothie one of the days.
Dinner: The dinner menu dishes looked gourmet. Unfortunately, as we were on a budget, we did not dine in.
Location: The hotel is located on the mountains in a small village. Right opposite the hotel there is Bar La Parrilla, a small bar with a selection of tapas and friendly owners. This was very convenient and we used the bar every night. However, at times during the afternoon the locals could get a bit loud and it's not ideal if you are looking to relax by the pool as the pool is right next to the outside tables of the bar. Of course, this is out of Anke and Kristof's hands. The nearby olive trees seem to have dogs guarding them and these can get very annoying when all of them are barking continuously at the same time. Once again, this is out of the hotel owner's hands but maybe something to be warned about in case you are looking for complete peace and quiet. The views are spectacular from the hotel.
Parking: There was plenty of free parking space right outside the hotel in the square.
