We enjoyed a fabulous week at the Grecotel Corfu Imperial, in one of the Roc Villas. Everything about the room was absolutely perfect. Booking meals at the various restaurants via the app was nice and easy. The food was always wonderful, the pool areas were lovely (apart from pool towels put out from 7.30am?!), the pathways and grounds were great to stroll through. Lots of steps though, so watch out if you have someone very young or old in your party! Loukia in concierge was so kind and helpful and, along with James at the dive centre, made our stay extra special. We can’t wait to return!

Great hotel overall with lots of positives but felt that there were consistent service issues that we weren’t expecting. Positives - Hotel is very impressive from the moment that you arrive. The grounds, reception and views are beautiful. - Room was lovely with an amazing balcony view. - Complimentary Prosecco in the room upon arrival which was a nice surprise. - We opted for half board and were really impressed with the standard of food and restaurant options available. In addition to the main buffet restaurant, there were other choices in both our hotel and the sister hotels nearby. A €20 each supplement was applied in these. Yali Seafood restaurant (on site) and La Contessa at Eva Palace nearby (within walking distance) were both good. - There is a complimentary mini bus to Corfu town several times each day. Best to book in advance as many take advantage, Definitely worth a visit. - Complimentary shuttle boat between the 3 Grecotel resorts. Leaves Imperial on the hour and we didn’t book. 20 mins to first hotel (Eva Palace), further 10 minutes to second hotel (Daphnila Bay) then back to the Imperial via Eva Palace. So lovely for a visit / use of different facilities or 45/50 min round trip. - Breakfast selection was great. Made to order omelettes, egg royale, poached eggs, standard hot breakfast choices, pastries, cereals, cold meats and cheeses. Along with juices, prosecco, fruit, salads and many other choices. - Main buffet restaurant also has lots of choice in the evenings and is a very good standard. - Live entertainment was very good. Areas that could have been better - Service across the whole resort in restaurants and bars wasn’t as expected. More often than not had to catch the eye of staff to request coffee or drinks and weren’t always correct when they arrived. - Unfortunately there was an element of guest putting towels on sun beds and leaving. Didn’t impact us but we saw couples do it whilst eating our breakfast. - Found the only 1 coffee capsule per adult a day sign in the room odd. Otherwise it was an additional €2 per capsule. Although there were sachets of instant coffee free. Final couple of notes to consider is there are a lot of steps around the resort. Not a problem for us but could be for some. Also there were a lot of wasps around the resort in September when we visited, so was easier to eat inside at breakfast.

Very nice hotel overall, however, if you have a little walker (we went for a holiday with our 18 months girl) - do not chose this hotel. We had a deluxe bungalow sea view - this type of rooms has tree marble steps INSIDE the room, however you will not see them on any photos when you chose this hotel. Secondly, there is NO STEP FREE access to the beach or to the pool!!! If you have a stroller - it is a big problem. We just parked our stroller near the beach and took everything in hands with us. Whenever you go, there are steps (3 or 4) but always steps!!!!! And finally, no even smallest playground for small children, nothing like simple swings or slide or soft play room.

Dear 555olenat, First of all, thank you very much for posting this review at TripAdvisor shortly after your recent stay with us. However, we were most disappointed to learn that you were not entirely satisfied with every aspect of your experience. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused regarding the no step free access to the pool and the beaches. As these areas are not accessible by baby carriages our staff is at your disposal at any time. As about the playground, the Grecoland Club provides plenty of interesting activities and competitions in order to create magical holiday experiences between families and kids. Children under 3 are welcome to use the Grecoland facilities, but must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. We would be truly grateful to have another opportunity to welcome you back and deliver a memorable stay. Kind regards, Efstathios Savvidis Hotel General Manager Grecotel Corfu Imperial

This is a great hotel but just not 5 star. The view from my room was amazing and the location is incredible - awesome sunrise and sunset views, wonderful beach swimming and beautiful pools (but please read other reviews on the horrible sun-lounger culture!). However, don’t expect this hotel to be truly 5 star. Just a couple of examples: checking into the room I was told the mini bar could be filled, but I would need to pay to fill it; no bathrobes; bills brought each time a drink was ordered to pay per drink rather than after having had all drinks at a bar; limited pool/beach towels. There was also a sign in the room that said only one Nespresso capsule could be used per adult per day and any extras would be charged at EUR 2. Things like the coffee capsule sign are not five star. The other thing to note for future single travellers is that as a single female traveller the service I received was quite different from that of other guests. I was definitely deprioritised - and it was frustrating. I was waiting to be served and yet families would arrive and be served first. In one instance a family arrived 10 mins after me and had their food before I was asked for my order! True 5 star is consistent and fair.

I do not tend to write reviews of anything but I was so appalled by several aspects of the hotel experience that I wanted to make others aware it may not be the 5* experience you expect. My partner and I visited at the end of August- the hotel was very busy which meant that daytime at the pool and beach wasn't as relaxing as it should be. -Unfortunately its not an adults only hotel (we did know this before coming, just didnt expect it to be such an issue) and therefore there were lots of screaming children in both pools. This may have been better if we had travelled after the school holidays. However it meant that it wasn't as peaceful as it should have been in the daytime or really for a luxury hotel. The beach areas were better for noise/children. -One of the biggest problems was sunbed wars. I didnt expect this in a 5* hotel. People were putting their towels out before breakfast so when we came down around 10.30am after breakfast, there was barely any sunbeds left (but nobody sat on any of them). When we one day joined in and put our towels and belongings down pre-breakfast, our stuff was moved off the beds and other people sat on them. When guests go for lunch for a couple of hours, they leave their towels on the beds too which is an inconveniance if you're looking for sunbeds in the afternoon. In all the hotels I've stayed in, i have never experienced sunbed wars like this. -You get 2 beach towels in your room every day. During our stay there were none at the pool/beach areas and when my partner asked for some, he was told to go to reception and had to trek in his swimming trunks through the lobby to ask for towels. This is not 5*. -At breakfast, we asked for a bottle of still water and were told we would have to pay for it. this to me made no sense, given that there was prosecco and bloody marys at breakfast and you could have as much as you wanted, and water available but we didnt want to have to keep going up to refill our glasses. -I mentioned the above to reception so that the issues could be dealt with by the hotel and so that we could enjoy the rest of our stay and I hopefully would not need to write a tripadvisor review. I got a call from one of the managers to discuss these issues. She told me they only keep a few towels at the pool area because of not wanting to have overuse of towels for the sake of the environment. To me there is a fine line and it was crossed. Nobody wants to have a sandy beach towel then have to go to the lobby for a clean one to sit at the pool. She did confirm that you should not be asked to pay for bottles of water at breakfast-despite this, yet again we were told several days that we would be charged. (in the end on the bill we werent). Due to the experience, we were kindly given a letter, food voucher for the hotel, bottle of wine and fruit platter which was all very appreciated. however none of the above issues got any better during our stay. -Staff at the pool/beach areas were generally nice but one particular staff member at the pool was very rude. We noticed a cabana was free, went to sit on it and he came over and said 'oh no you cant sit there these people are coming over and asked me to save them one'. when we then asked him subsequently to let us know when one became free, he ignored us and seemed to pretend that he didnt speak english/understand. Staff at reception were ok- on arrival,+check in, two of the ladies were robotic and overly formal but some guests may like that. staff at valet parking (which was a lovely bonus) were great. - No bath robes or face flannels in the room. We needed to request these on the app and call reception twice before they brought some up. Not great for 5* but only a minor point really. -At check out, we checked our bill and realised we were victims of FRAUD. I have never had this experience before. We had 100euros charged from a restaurant that we didnt go to-the lady showed us the receipt-cocktails and food and a tip, and someone had signed our surname and signature (which was nothing like mine). The lady took it off the bill since it was clearly not ours. However I was still very angry this had happened and made the front desk manager aware of the situation who said that she will email me-no email received and it has now been 3 weeks. This is not how such an incident should be handled. Overall it was still a nice stay just not as good as expected-the grounds are stunning, the pool and beach areas are clean and lovely and the rooms are beautiful too. Food was lovely in the buffet restaurant, YALI and Trattoria (Italian). (Crepes at the gelateria are awful). The views from the room and around the grounds were exceptional and we would overall return out of school holiday time, as it is a lovely hotel on a beautiful island. however, the issues above highlight that this was not a 5* experience and that it is overpriced given the issues that occurred and the poor customer service.

Four Seasons style and service without the huge price tag. A wonderful gem nestled in a small marina cove which means you don’t get the usual Aegean heavy winds. Yet opposite the hotel you also have the open ocean to swim in. Marvellous views. The food was impeccable and the service to match. From the wonderful hotel staff to the incredibly professional and charming Petros the Hotel Manager, to the staff who were attentive by the private beach, this is my new paradise! Grecohotel is a family run business and it shows. Highly recommend!!

Alexandros was outstading. Alexandros is the staff member who will get you hospital treatment with the principles of care in mind: do not further harm and do not delay treatment. Alexandros was unbeatable. Abbie got the treatment she needed after a fish sting and she will be ok. Thank you Alexandros for saving her life (Abbie had 2 medical conditions who could have made her even sicker). Feeling safe in a place is the best thing you can feel. About the hotel, as you can imagine, everything breaths excellence. Reception's night auditor was so friendly and he was smilling all the time (i've checked in on the 6/09/2022 at 04am). Restaurant's maitre during breakfast was very sweet. And to the most amazing staff member of this hotel, the housekeeper who were on floor 5 every morning, thank you for taking care of me when I needed help, you deserve everything good in life, you are an amazing human being.

We stayed for 9 days and it was an incredible experience. The Hotel is amazing - great location with private beaches on on of the best bays in Corfu, lovely landscape details with beautiful gardens, different high quality restaurants and it's so large that it never feels crowded. The staff is incredibly helpful and the Concierge will take care of any of your wishes. We briefly mentioned that it was my son's birthday during the check in process and that same night we were surprised with a nice birthday cake during our dinner at Aristos Restaurant - thank you Christina (Concierge) for picking up on this, we all loved the surprise! We will definitely be back to this hotel!

We stayed at the Grecotel Imperial as an extension to our cruise and I can only say that it made the end to our holiday the most relaxing ever. A beautiful setting by the beach, with well kept facilities, we can only but praise the hotel. The room we had in the hotel building itself was beautiful, overlooking the sea, with blackout curtains and sound proofing that gave chance for a great sleep. The best part of the hotel is the staff however, who can't do enough for their customers and a special shout out goes to Chrysa the Maitre De who went out of her way to make sure we had the best of the buffet and gave us information about the local foods etc. She totally made our holiday and we would come back just to see her. The staff working on the beach collecting towels and serving drinks and food were also excellent serving in extreme heat with a smile and nothing was too much for them. We had a very late transfer pick up to the airport at 5.30pm and the hotel extended our room free of charge until 5pm so that we could stay all day in comfort. The concierge service was also amazing, we planned lots of activities and they sorted it all out for us, as was using the shuttle service to Old Town Corfu that we used 2 days on the trot. This is a hidden gem in Corfu that we will definitely be returning. Thanks all Louise and Kristian
