If you want to see a huge array of Amazon wildlife, Muyuna delivers. The lodge is friendly and the guides are particularly great. One of our group is a birder, so the lodge arranged for a bird specialist named Edson. He knew every bird out there and was fun to be around. Raphael was also great. There may be one...

We stayed at Muyuna lodge from January 2 to January 6, 2013. First of all thanks to Rocio for answering correctly and timely my dozens of questions before departure. We had also some difficulties to buy air tickets from Canada for domestic flights in Peru and Rocio helped us efficiently with several flights at a very correct price and schedule....

We looked around several companies before deciding to go to the Muyuna Amazon Lodge and we are very happy that we did. The accommodation is very cozy and well run.The food is simply amazing and the guide we had (his name was Moises) was incredible. We went for 5 days and 4 nights and had a glorious time. We went...

First, when a place GUARANTEES you will see all that Muyuna says, you have to be skeptical. I was hoping it would be true, but I was guarded. I was absolutely amazed by our adventures! We had Raphael as our guide. He certainly knows his stuff. He was great at seeing the animals and pointing them out. He answered every...

Nice staff, good food, nice rooms and an a night trip on Yanayacu that I will always remember! Yes, and the wattled curassow. However, I don't think it is 140 km up the Amazon river from Iquitos, it is closer to, like, 110 km. Great trails, great birding! There was a cat meaowing at night, though. But with a cat,...

We spent 3d2n at Muyuna Lodge mid December as a family of 6, including 4 older teenagers. We all enjoyed the activities lead by our very knowledgeable and pleasant guide Edson. The Lodge and accommodation is clean and very comfortable in a beautiful location, the food was outstanding, we saw many insects, animals and birds, enjoyed swimming with the dolphins,...

When we booked the trip we were a little skeptical when it said 5 days 3 nights, but it really was 5 days of activities. The jungle lodge simplicity did not mean "roughing it". Our little hut was a beautiful room looking onto the Yanayacu river. We were worried about the limited electricity, but we barely noticed. Our guide Moises...

I spent five days, four nights at Muyuna with my parents this past December. It was an incredible trip. While there's no electricity in the rooms, the lodge provides elegant kerosene lanterns in the evenings. The bungalows are clean, new, and private, and they have great balconies with hammocks that overlook the peaceful water below. The food was excellent and...

Our 4d3n stay was excellent. Let me start off by stating that our guide Moises was outstanding. I would completely ignore the last review slamming Moises. It is totally untrue and unfounded. He was a wealth of information, and has eagle eyes with the ability to spot the smallest of insects, animals and birds even while travelling by speedboat. I...
