This one might take a minute, lol. My wife and I researched Grenada and found one review after another about the service at this hotel. We have NEVER had a more pleasurable experience with hotel staff! From the moment we arrived and everyday that followed, every effort was made to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. My wife caught a bit of a cold and was down for 2 day's. In addition to bringing her hot ginger tea, and other local remedies, "Nykia" front desk, took it upon herself to go the pharmacy and grocery store for us, so we had everything we needed for a speedy recovery. Everywhere I went on the resort during that time, everyone (almost no exceptions) stopped to ask me how my wife was feeling. What's even more unbelievable, their concern seemed genuine! Front desk staff helped make every reservation for us. Dinner or diving (our two favorite things!) A special shout out to Nykia, Terrell, "Shakira Shakira" Darell (chef) and Shauna. You guy's are a credit to your brand! Check out the catch of the day, if you like fish, the fish tacos (see pictures) and the fish wrap were amazing. Also if decadence is your thing, the triple chocolate trio! I would be remiss if I didn't mention Grenada SPCA. Plenty of puppies need good home's, so stop by, pick up a puppy or make a donation. Thanks

Mount Cinnamon Cabana is a great place to come for lunch, to sit and relax and have fun with friends whilst watching the sea. The service here is second to none. Kathyann is a credit to your staff, she made me feel extremely welcomed and comfortable providing me with the best service that I have experienced during my time in Grenada. I will definitely be returning here throughout my trip. Thank you to your entire staff team.

Pros: Beautiful pristine resort, beautiful ocean views, great service-ALL the staff were fantastic and accommodating. Decent bfast. Hobie cats and kayaks, comfy beds, a/c! would def stay again. Cons: food a bit too tourist-y (I.e. overpriced for what it was). Not bad just not great. Really just ate bfast (which was pretty good) and one dinner at savvy’s. Not enough to subtract a star considering the pros. Who would like it: people staying on grand anse who need beach views and water sports. People who don’t mind a climb (unless you drive up to your room as we did). People who need a/c Tips: don’t include lunch/dinner option as there are tons of great local joints to eat at. Message me for laundry tips ;)

My husband and I first visited Mount Cinnamon in 2018 and had such a fabulous experience that we promised we'd go back. Fast forward a couple of years with no holidays due to covid, and our only choice was to go straight back to Mount Cinnamon. We were naturally mindful that the second time might not live up to the first, or that perhaps our memories weren't as good as we thought, but not at all - we had another truly wonderful 10 days, for many reasons. First of all, the staff, from Reception to Housekeeping, to Restaurant/Bar to Groundspeople, too many to name individually. Always friendly, helpful, and promoting an air of relaxation that you can't help buy tap into. But I want to mention Nykia on Reception particularly. Always with a smile, but when I had an issue on our last day, with 2 hours until leaving for the airport, she suggested and sorted out for me a visit to a doctor, which dealt with my problem before the flight. From the first welcome you get on arrival, to leaving, Reception are prepared to help make your holiday what you'd like it to be. And staff all round have the same attitude. We enjoyed food in both the restaurant and the beach bar. In Savvys, try the beef tai tipi and the spiced chicken roulade (I wish I'd asked for the recipe for everthing in this dish), and excellent steaks. At the beach bar, fish of the day was always good, and you can't beat a fish taco. The cocktails were a hit, as were a few local beers. Teon at watersports shimmied up a tree and brought down a couple of coconuts, cut the tops off, and gave them to us with straws. Simplicity at it's best! Cookies are brought to your room each night, which was a lovely touch. Housekeeping staff were lovely, and it was great not to think about the housework for a short while. There's a small gym, which we used a few times when we were awake before breakfast. Oh, the breakfast - gorgeous cinnamon buns! Plus the rest of the pastries and cooked options. And a lovely open-air place to sit and enjoy them and look through the plants and flowers towards the sea. Mount Cinnamon end of Grand Anse beach is just about perfect - I've spent 4 years imagining being back there, on a sun lounger with a good book, and snorkelling with the fish. I'd say it's the quiet end of the beach which is perfect. There's watersports equipment to use, and just along the beach is Dive Grenada - the island's underwater sculpture park is just up the coast, definitely worth booking with them to snorkel or dive there. Apparently a needle fish landed on my back whilst I was snorkelling, with a smaller fish in it's own mouth. I didn't notice myself - too busy being absolutely mesmerised by the myriad of fish below me. We had villa 4 - I truly believe you get one of the best views across the bay from Mount Cinnamon because of its elevated position - it's one of my favourite views, daytime or nighttime - hard not to look at from your balconies. Other resorts are at beach level between MC and the capital, St Georges, so you get a spectacular view across. When you work hard to save and go on holiday for a brief moment of escapism every now and then, you hope you make the right choice. We certainly did. We came home and wondered whether we'd go back a third time, and yes, we will. If you're looking for a friendly island, Grenada certainly is. If you're looking for a lovely relaxing place to stay, Mount Cinnamon is perfect.

Just arrived back from a week at Mount Cinnamon Hotel. I do t think I can say a bad word about any part of our week . The setting of the hotel is just about perfect and the location as well. I have never felt so welcome anywhere we have traveled to before and the fact that every member of staff calls you by your first name every time you see them and give you the largest smile and welcome you can imagine.Garret could not have been helpful from the minute we arrived until we left ,he even made sure we had the same taxi driver every time we ordered one because he knew we liked that driver. The hotel has the most stunning views due the the fact it’s on a hillside with daunting hills, not a problem at all as Golf carts are in tap to run you up and down which is a novelty on its own and thank you to Andre and Shakil for being our favourite drivers but everyone are as good as each other. Every part of this hotel is perfect and the surrounding area as well. St George’s a 10 min cab ride away is also a lovely friendly marina town with the most friendly people yiu will ever meet. Thank you Mount Cinnamon and thank you Grenada for being so friendly and welcoming. I think we have found our paradise, we will be back. Ian Hammonds

For comparison purposes, I write this as a 37 year old, solo, male traveler. I was at Mount Cinammon from May 20, 2022 to May 27, 2022. My girlfriend was going on a girl’s trip to France so I took the opportunity to take a solo trip to the Caribbean. I had not been on vacation in 4 years and had not been to the Caribbean in 9. Prior to this I spent time in Puerto Rico, St. John, St. Thomas, Jost van Dyke, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. After about 2 weeks of research, looking at all of the islands I had not been to yet, I kept landing on Mount Cinnamon in Grenada. I am so lucky I landed on this spot as it is my new, favorite destination In the Caribbean. Whenever I travel solo I am always particularly interested in the overall safety and friendliness of the islands I am traveling to. I don’t think I have ever felt safer in the Caribbean than I did during my time in Grenada. And I really got used to the culture of everyone saying hello as you walk down the beach or into town. I felt very welcome the entire time I was there. The default in Grenada is just people being nice to each other, which really sets the tone for a pleasant vacation. If you read the other reviews you will note that the staff is usually recognized as the best part of the hotel. I can confirm this to be completely true. While I am not great with names (I’m actually quite terrible with names) I can tell you everyone went out of their way to make sure I was having a good time and feeling like part of the family from the front of the house, to the restaurants, to the crew that cleaned our rooms. They learn your name and room number and go out of their way to see how you are doing whenever they see you. I can’t thank the staff enough. They really made me feel at home. I always wanted to find a place in the Caribbean that I would want to return to again and again and I finally found that at Mount Cinnamon. In other reviews you will see where people are on their 8th and 9th trips back to the hotel. Stay there once and you will know why. It’s all about the details for me and they pay attention to every detail to ensure you have nothing to stress about while you are staying with them. Your room comes with a cell phone so you can reach out to the front desk whenever you need them, and they respond immediately. Like on my first day when I made a rookie mistake and caught a sunburn on my belly, thus greatly jeopardizing the tan I was seeking on this trip. I texted the front desk to see if they had any aloe, fully expecting them to charge me for a bottle. They sent fresh aloe branches to my room, free of charge. Within 2 days I was healed. They bring you fresh cookies every night as part of the turndown service. If you are interested in an excursion they will plan everything for you so you can just show up and enjoy. Across the board, their attention to detail is impeccable. I stayed in Cinnamon Suite 13, which is on the top of the hill. If it’s available I would recommend my suite or the one next to it as it provides you possibly the best view on the island. I slept with the blinds open every night because I didn’t want to miss a moment of that view. It’s the nicest view I have ever had at any hotel I have ever stayed at. If you read the other reviews you will note that it is a steep walk on the property. That is accurate. If you want to walk off all the good food and rum drinks that’s definitely an option. You will be winded by the time you get to the top. But if you are tired after a long day on the beach just ask the front desk to give you a ride in one of their golf carts to your room and they will do so right away. The hills are a non-factor if you want to avoid them. Otherwise, hills are a big part of Grenada and you can just embrace it. The beach is the best on the island. If you are doing research on Great Anse the other properties you will come across are the Great Anse Beach House, Silversands and Coyoba. Great Anse and Silversands have a much smaller beachfront. Coyoba has a comparable beachfront but is a bit more crowded. Mount Cinnamon has the largest beach front but also the least foot traffic. It’s definitely the quiet side of the beach. If you want to be away from the crowds this is where you want to be. The sand is soft and the water is clear. The beach chair/umbrella/table set up can’t be beat. It’s about 6 steps to the bar to get a cold drink. And water sports are included with your room fee. Shout out to Teon and Sedrick for taking me out on the Hobie Cat whenever I asked. If you are into scuba diving, Dive Grenada is also right next door. I didn’t plan on leaving the hotel at all. While I ran into town to grab some gifts and cigars (short, easy, safe 10 minute walk) I otherwise stayed at the hotel on the beach. Every meal I ate was at Mount Cinammon. The breakfast is included with your room rate, and includes fresh pastries, fruit, fruit juice, water and coffee/tea. You can also order eggs/hash browns/bacon etc if you need more. Banana bread is a constant in every meal and the rest changes daily. It was incredible. Those chocolate chip muffins were my favorite. The restaurant on the beach is delicious and a little more affordable than when you do dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. I read some reviews that thought the food was a little overpriced. I thought the prices were completely reasonable. The restaurant at the hotel is a little pricier (especially if you keep ordering the ribeye like I did because it was so good) but as far as vacation rates go it’s comparable, if not a little more affordable, than a nice restaurant you might go to in the states. There are options in town if you want to venture away from the property. But if you want to relax and just do everything on the resort, you can eat great without ever leaving Mount Cinnamon. I would also recommend the spa. I tried their Signature Cinnamon Massage which is a soft/medium full body massage for 60 minutes. I’ve never felt more relaxed. On the comments I wrote that it was “the best massage I ever had.” If you are trying to de-stress on vacation, Fate is your girl. I would recommend walking directly to the beach afterwards to grab a nap so you can really reach that peak relaxation. I also had to get a negative covid test in order to return to the US. The hotel brings a doctor on site who will test you the day before departure. It cost me $60 US and I had results within 15 minutes. They do it during breakfast so it doesn’t even interrupt your day. In summary I can’t recommend this place enough. It was a truly special vacation. I am grateful to the staff for making me feel so loved. They treated me like family and I look forward to this being my new go to spot when I go on vacation. This is one of the few resorts where the good reviews don’t do it justice. The views, food and staff are as good as it gets. If you are coming to Grenada don’t look anywhere else. Mount Cinammon is the definition of a hidden gem.

Really enjoyed a week here in a stunning Cinnamon Suite with a great view over the bay. It is very un-hotel like which is its charm. The staff are so friendly, particularly Antonio and Nykia on Reception. They made a great fuss of us on our anniversary when we dined at Savvy’s restaurant and had a lovely meal. It was nice to walk down along the lawn to the natural beach area. The food in the Cabana was good, particularly the fish tacos. Tried fishing with Teon paddling around the bay which was fun. Also went on a sunset cruise that was good. Had a walk around St George’s though not much to see. Went on a great boat trip to the island of Caricau. Went out to local restaurants. Recommend the Calabash for something special and BBs for a fun local place in St George’s. Did not get Dexters at all. A week is long enough and we also had a few days up North in the wonderful Mount Edgecombe Plantation.

My husband and I spent a week at Mount Cinnamon where we were treated like celebrities. Upon arrival we were advised that they had given us an upgraded room which ended up being one of their lovely villas. The villa was beautiful, a balcony on each level with great views, LR and Kitchen, definitely feel like you're living the best life in the Caribbean. The beach Life at the hotel is amazing. Chaises with umbrellas, some couch sitting areas, plenty of kayaks, paddleboards, and hobbycats to sail. All equipment with proper life jackets are there for the asking. Very friendly beach staff who want to make your day special. We walked the beach (over a mile each way) most days and to be honest, the beach at Mount Cinnamond is the best, that is why we chose it in the first place. The Pool Area... so sweet! It's up by the lobby but hidden within the plants and waterfall with plenty of chassis to relax. Hotel has a very good breakfast menu which was included in our daily rate, you could choose from their buffet or order a hot meal. Lunch is available and delicious down by the beach in one of the nicest Beach Cabanas, your choice for sun or shade. Special dinner's down at the beach are worth sticking around for, Sat's Ribs and Rub were amazing. The live entertainment so enjoyable, from the saxaphone player and singer down at the beach to the violinist playing upstairs when we returned to hotel lobby. Actually had to sit and listen for a while. Again, Amazing. Shout out to our "personal concierge" Nykia who is stationed at the main desk but seems to know and run the whole hotel. She was so kind and helpful and always with a smile on her face. Thanks Nykia!. Rest of the staff also wonderful, seem to enjoy doing their jobs and helping their guests all the time. There are plenty of other restaurants to have a meal when visiting the island. Definitely worth the taxi rides to experience drinks on their deck and dinner at "La Luna", beautiful location and great food. Another choice we enjoyed was the "Aquarium" which also has lovely beach to enjoy sunset. I'm sure there are others as well, after reading reviews those were our two choices. All in All I would say that Mount Cinnamond is the place to be while visiting Grenada. We are hoping to be lucky enough to return real soon!

I booked Mount Cinnamon because the pictures were beautiful and it was a smaller boutique hotel. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. The people of Grenada in general are so wonderful. The vibe of the island is unlike any other we had been to in the carribean. Mount Cinnamon was the perfect place to stay. It is at the end of the beautiful beach. The staff make everything so easy and relaxing without any air of pretentiousness. Garrett made everything so easy and was just so pleasant to talk to. Both of the Antonio's and Amanda felt like family when we left. They were so lovely to talk to. Kathyanne and Shakira in the restaurants were fantastic too and such hard workers. All of the staff worked hard and always had smiles on their faces! The food is fantastic and fridays and saturdays they serve dinner on the beach with entertainment and a bonfire. It was everything we could have hoped for!
