I am very happy we chose this hotel, even though it may not be for everyone. However you get what you pay for and more. (If you want high end experience go to Silversand, but be prepared to pay 5-times more)

It is a low-key and simple hotel, with aging room interior, yet clean with a very friendly owner and enthusiastic guests. Basic amenities (like beach towels and toiletries) are provided and the front desk kindly arranged a taxi to the airport (though you may want to prenegotiate the price if you are stingy)

The hotel has its own beautiful beachfront with chairs, no crowd, great sunsets and a nicer pool than what I expected. Yes; sadly their restaurant is closed, but there are several restaurants and a supermarket within 3 minutes walk: none of them are of US high life standards, but they provide what you need, and the best restaurant that we found on the island is also in easy walking distance on the beach.
Also the bus stop is with 3 minutes that takes you into the capital (and you don’t want to miss that busing experience if you traveled this far)

If you like the beach, that is the Allamanda’s best feature! Right on the beach with lounge chairs available for guests. The rooms are spacious and have the amenities you need. There is no longer a restaurant, lounge or bar but they do provide you extra coffee and coffee makers in the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a couple of good restaurants on the beach close by as well as a shopping mall with a food court and large grocery store. The air conditioner works great and cools the room down quickly. It is also nice to have a balcony to watch the sunset. The hotel is close to the airport, and we were permitted to check in 2 hours early. There was a broken door lock to our balcony, but we were given a bolt to jam the door… no buggy. As a whole the hotel has been around the block a few times, but they clean the rooms as clean as they can get. Not a swanky place, but affordably price, good value. I would come back.

The Allamanda is, by far, the best value on Grand Anse Beach. I loved my two-week stay. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely view of the ocean. The staff is extremely helpful and kind...including the owner, who never stops working to make the place hum. The pool is very nice and the beach, just a short stroll away, is amazing. The daily maid service was wonderful and the "girls" were all very sweet.
The area around the hotel offers many restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Sushi, Mediterranean and more...all of them very good.
There is a good supermarket and the Spiceland Mall across the street.
You can walk to the Spice Market and other hotels along the beach. The location is ideal since driving in Grenada is not for the faint of heart.
The hotel is located next to a public park and across from a sports stadium that can sometimes be very loud.
Unfortunately there is no bar or restaurant at the Allamanda but, with so much nearby, it wasn't an issue.
Hello to the great crew at the Allamanda!

This hotel is basic; the restaurant is closed. However, it has direct access to the stunning beach; the same beach as the Coyaba Beach Resort, which is at least 3 times the price and the Radisson which is more than twice the price. The rooms were very clean, the housekeepers came in every day; pool/beach towels were provided and changed when requested, as were the bath towels. There were sun loungers provided for the beach, with amazing huge trees that were great for sheltering from the sun. The gardens were immaculate. The staff at the hotel are very helpful. If you want 5 star luxury this is not the hotel for you, but if you want somewhere that is clean and comfortable, at a very affordable price, this is great. Easy walking access to restaurants and the nearby shopping mall.

We can’t thank the owner and the staff team enough for their compassion and the care that they showed us during our stay. They were so accommodating and always meet our requests positively. The hotel offers excellent value for money where else can you stay in a hotel on Grand Anse beach for that price. The hotel is clean, welcoming and friendly. The facilities are good and the surrounds surreal. It made our stay enjoyable and momentous. The restaurant is closed however there are plenty of eating and drinking places nearby. We certainly experienced the real Grenadian experience and plan to visit again soon.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Wendy at the front desk she was pleasant and knowledgeable. There were 3 of us staying in a 2 bedroom and we had asked for a cot we did have to wait for a bit for the cot to be brought in. The cot was in rough shape you could feel the frame springs through the plastic covered mattress. The room was nice for the price nothing elegant but we were only looking for a place to sleep and shower. The pool is wonderful and usually only 2 or 3 other people there if any. The beach is so close and very clean and the hotel supplies lounge chairs and towels. We had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners (very pleasant gentleman) they are working on upgrading the property to include new cots and re-open the restaurant. If you are looking for budget friendly along with friendly helpful staff this is the place.

My 8 nights at Allamanda Beach Resort during the Christmas week 2022 were very restful and enjoyable. My 2rd floor beach front view room was picturesque. Couldn’t put down my phone camera. Loved the large room with a hot tub and high ceiling. I didn’t missed the hotel kitchen, which Allamanda no longer has. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were ready available from the Wall Street shopping area, Grant Anse shopping center!, Spiceland mall and Real Value supermarket and Grant Anse craft & spice market, are all just a flew steeps away from the hotel. Daily house keeping keep the room clean. Thanks for a memorable stay. Money will spend.

I spent 5 days at the Allamanda hotel and I loved it!
It is no frills, as I expected, but clean with a nice balcony, decent bed, refrigerator, coffee maker and lovely staff. They do not currently have a restaurant at the hotel, but there are plenty on the beach. There is also a super market, breakfast places and food trucks within walking distance. It is located on, what I think is the most convenient, mellowest part of the beach and a lovely beach it is. You can expect company if you plant your hotel provided chaise under one of the shade trees-the shade is for sharing. I found it was a nice way to meet people-Grenadians are warm and welcoming. Probably not for those who want more luxe accommodations, but the price was great and perfect for me.

Allamanda is a very basic hotel with direct access to grand anse Beach. The property is in need of remodeling. We were initially given a garden room on the 2nd floor. The room was dark, with dirty walls, and old, chipped furniture. We were not happy. After speaking to the front desk, we arranged to move to a beach-view room on the 3rd floor. It was clearly remodeled, with fresh paint and a great balcony. The rooms are large with a fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave. The bathroom was basic and small. The pool is very inviting, but the restaurant was closed and the gym did not have much usable equipment. There is really only one outlet in the room, where management has set up a multi-plug system for guests. The location of this hotel is it's saving grace. Restaurants are all around, and spiceland mall is a short walk away. Overall, our trip was great but only because we were able to switch rooms!

Was looking for a hotel for Spice Mas 2019 and found this hotel.

The first thing I loved about the location was how close it was to EVERYTHING!!

The Mall - Across the street
The Beach - On the property
The bus stop - across the street

Everything was within a 5 minute walk.

The staff was very accomodating and check in was a breeze.

On J'Ouvert morning when we returned they had towels and soap all ready for us to wash off the oil and paint which was very convenient.

The one minus was they did not have rooms with kitchens but would definitely stay there again!

We found the portions large and so we brought 1 meal and shared it. The cost was 10-15 USD. Theres lots of choice curry, rice, mac ‘n’ cheese, jerk chicken, Jamaican Patti, Chinese, pizza and burgers. There is a supermarket across the road which offers a full range of food, drinks, meals, snacks and toiletries.

When you leave the hotel, go to your right and the very first hotel services us a breakfast buffet since the hotel has no restaurant. The is a very nice bar/restaurant a little further down that same street to the right....Sorry for the delay in responding
