These include COCO-MAT sleep-type systems made with natural materials, APIVITA cosmetics which combine naturally derived ingredients, extracts from plants of the Greek nature and high tech Daikin Air Conditioning Systems. One of our major concerns is to ensure that our activity has the least possible environmental impact.

A little corner of paradise on a paradise island. Arriving at the port of Koufonissi with incredible blue water, we decided to take the 5-minute walk to reach the hotel (the hotel owner collected our suitcases from the port) and there happiness was immediate. Island on a human scale with very few cars, everything is doable on foot. We arrive at Ionathan which is very very beautiful and well maintained. The room is magnificent with a very pleasant view of the swimming pool. Room with kitchen and beautiful bathroom. Everything is clean and well maintained. Wifi is good. Every morning, breakfast is delivered to you on the terrace of your room after a call to reception. The breakfast is 100% homemade and it’s great! Local cuisine available.
The Ionathan does not have a restaurant service but all the restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, maximum of which is one where you only have to cross the street.
The owners are incredibly kind. This hotel is incredible and I highly recommend it.

The Ionathan Koufonisia is a great smal place to stay. It is clean and close to everything and with a nice pool area. They come with the breakfast to your room so you can sit on your porch and relax during breakfast. We will be back at both the hotel and Koufonisi.

It's a heaven on earth! I work in a hotel so I can understand and the very small things that make the difference. First of all, very clean room and bathroom. The pool is the perfect spot to spend your evening, with special coctails or coffee. The hotel is located in walking distance from the port and mr Thanasis was at the port to wait for us and carry our luggage with his car. Homemade breakfast served in the room every morning. The owners are super! Very helpful and We felt like we were in our home. Many recommendations for restaurants etc The only disadvantage of our stay was that we could not stay longer... We will be back for sure!

Love this place! It’s immaculately kept with beautiful Cycladic decor indoor and outside, great rooms with top quality features. Beds are so comfortable and air con is quiet and top quality. It’s owned and run by the charming Ioanna who makes a really lovely big breakfast served on your own terrace, all homemade. She was so kind also to keep rolling our reservation for two years as we couldn’t travel out of Australia. Great communication all through this time. We can’t wait to return!

We travel often to Greece in summer. This is the second time we have stayed at Ionathan Suites and one word sums it up, perfect. The unbeatable location, the decoration of the rooms, the care of the details, the impressive daily breakfast ... All homemade and with care to the last detail. The kindness of Ioanna and all her family and team makes us always feel at home. Even she helped us when we discovered this second year that the whole family was celiac. A real vacation in a paradise for a Mediterranean family that comes from Barcelona.

We stayed 5 nights at Ionatan suites in kouffonissia. The hotel and rooms are really nice and clean. It is near the port and walking distance to the beaches. The people are also very nice. Ioana s home made breakfast is excellent. I would stay again

Owners are disgusting. I have never witnessed a more rude human being in my life. Such an angry couple. I have never heard more curse words in my life! I will never stay here again and neither should you if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Dear Christina, Thank you very much for your review of your experience at our hotel but it would be preferable for the credibility of yourself and TripAdvisor's members to say that you have never booked a stay to our business. What exactly happen, was your decision to cross through our place ,not even as a guest of someone who is living to our apartments, and we politely explain you that here is a private area. Something that you did not respect and denied our instructions on how you will go out. As you already aware our Hotel is located in a dead end road and it is obvious that although we have a sign of a "private area" a lot of people cross through our place every day in order to safe time from doing the longest route. We as an owners and our staff members take their roles in our industry very seriously and try, every day, to provide that quality customer service, that our guests expect which is of course "peace and quiet" as you mentioned in your review. I hope that I can convince you to change your mind about this unpleasant confrontation but you should understand our position as well. Very well impressed with the commodities and the surrounding pool area, only surpassed by Ioanna’s sympathy and hospitality. The rest of the staff are also very welcoming and kind, even who not speaks English. You feel like home. Very clean, very good breakfast and very well located. I stayed in different other places in the island but definitely this is the best I tried and with small (and other not so small) things the difference can be made. To repeat!!! Thanks Ioanna.

Following disastrous experiences in Greece, I was reluctant to spend another stressful & disappointing vacation in the same country. This time we looked for a secluded place, kind of wild, no fancy hotels, shops and restaurants, no traffic, just silence, serenity, nature, immaculate rooms and lovely family atmosphere at dinner.
The warm phone conversation with the owner, Ioanna, made me give it another try. I will never regret it, on the contrary. We want to spend all our summers here, in Koufonissi, at Ionathan.
The place is 5 min away form the port, the taverns, the beach and the main shop. The island is a jewel for those who love a minimalist lifestyle. We felt really like home everywhere on the island and literally cried when we departed. It felt like leaving a big warm family behind.
Restaurant are great (not the Italian one), especially the one next to Ionathan Suites (ask about Thasoula), so is the Gelati Shop with home made ice-creams, including a wide variety of vegan, sugar free options.
The bungalows are immaculate and perfectly designed, they awaken you to another level of consciousness: we actually need so little to be happy and content! The pool is perfect: clean, not so much chlorine. Breakfast is amazing, fantastic fresh fruits, personnel is warm and loving. We cooked together several times some delicious Greek pastry. What an experience!
Beaches remind me of my childhood: simple and kind of wild. A lot of cliff diving possibilities.
Our only intuitive worry is that the tourism on the island may increase along with the publicity and it will lose the genuine charm of a secluded place.

The ”Ionathan Koufonisia Suites” are the right premises at the right spot.
It is a complex of stylish luxurious suites which respect the kyklades’ architecture (bright white & sky-blue) and the guest’s needs (even the PWD). You have anything you need under your feet, in literally. Everything is in walking distance. The premises are simple, frugal, chaste & crystal clear, with a lot of space and light, so the guest can enjoy his time there for relax and not feel drowned by all the facilities being packed squashed.
Although we have stayed there at its very first days and there are still some amendments to be fulfilled (decoration mostly) , our stay was unforgettable.
The owner always smiley & polite will give you tips for a pleasant stay at the lovely island.
