Located only 20 minutes from the airport and in the midst of the San Luis sector, this complete resort will disconnect you from the chaos and noise and introduce you to a natural experience in an area surrounded by extensive vegetation and beautiful beaches painted in the characteristic multicolored sea of the island. Purifying the senses is a given fact. With typical Antillean architecture, Decameron San Luis has wooden structures and finishes that mix with the landscape adorned with palm trees and mangroves, allowing for open air spaces and blocks and providing the perfect atmosphere for oxygen-filled vacations. Additionally to breathing in the resort's wild environment, you can take a long walk on San Luis' renowned beaches where you will delight your eye's retina thanks to the tones that are reflected from its sky and the ocean during the day, especially during sunsets and sunrises and that will finally become the ideal destination to come back home with a green spirit. I guess my expectations regarding the experience of staying in a Decameron hotel were higher than reality.

The experience upon arrival at the hotel is not the best. Nobody welcomes you, clearly there is not even a welcome cocktail and the security guard at the entrance is divided between host and suitcase guard.

The reception employee was alone serving several people simultaneously. He did the check-in process for us without providing hotel information, amenities or schedules. He simply told us to come back later and that we could go to the buffet starting at 6:00 p.m.

The room was fine, however, the bathroom had a plumbing smell (we later found out that there was apparently damage to the hotel). The shower had no pressure and we didn't have towels in the room either. We had to go to the reception to ask for them.

The refrigerator was dirty and completely empty despite it being an all-inclusive hotel. There was only one large bottle of water. Why have a refrigerator in the room if it is empty?

The staff in the Buffet area is generally lackadaisical and with little interest in providing a service. On several occasions we had to stop to get cutlery and drinks as the staff were apparently too busy engaging in small group conversations.

The vocation for service is not present in the vast majority of the hotel staff. As a guest, you feel like they are doing you a favor. Their attitude is not the best and it is clear that they do not enjoy what they do. We experienced this in reception, the Buffet area, in the area where they lend beach towels and where they prepare cocktails.

The cleaning in the common areas is not the best either, we arrived on Monday the 18th and left on Thursday the 21st of December and during that time there was no cleaning in the stairs and corridors of the rooms. They were dirty and had leaks.

I thought it was a cultural issue of the staff who works at the Decameron chain, however, when we did the intraday at the Mar Azul hotel I could see the opposite, there we did feel more comfortable, they cared about us and our well-being. Not to mention, the difference in the state, benefits and conditions of the hotel.

Once again, I appreciate you enabling this communication channel and I hope you can do something for the service. Unfortunately, as a Colombian, one compares the experience lived in places like the Dominican Republic and Cancun and it hurts to recognize that the tourism experienced outside the country is much better.

I start by saying that vacationing in San Andres is much more expensive than in other destinations, but that has to do with the fact that it is an island and therefore the logistics and others make all costs much more expensive... the hotel complies, the food rich and varied, the pools, although small, are well maintained... there are 3 in total distributed in different areas of the hotel, the beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, the only thing is that there is no shade, bring beach shoes, because it is rocky, It is a natural aquarium. Regarding the rooms, we were in block 4, which I think is the newest comfortable rooms, with partial views of the sea and close to the beach and entertainment area. The hotel is the cheapest of the Decameron chain and is located more or less 20 minutes from the center of the island, so it is a very quiet hotel. If you want to be in the center of the action, this hotel is not for you. Likewise, public transportation passes in front of the hotel if you want to go out and there are also taxis available, with payment... I think the bus charges about 4,000 Colombian pesos... more or less 1 usd, each way...
San Andres is a beautiful island, with its sea of 7 colors, a tour to the aquarium is recommended, visit Jonny Kay, the little pool, rent carts to go around the island...

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of San Andrés, however it looks abandoned. The rooms are very old, especially the bathrooms. The restaurant offers very few food options and especially for lunch and dinner there are no other restaurants apart from the buffet and one called pastafari where I found the service terrible and the food very mediocre instead of giving cannelloni they gave us an omelet with three shrimp inside.
The most expensive rooms are absolutely noisy, you cannot sleep because you can hear all the noise from the street, they do not have anti-noise glass and they have a poor view of the sea since the window is completely dirty.
The administrator helps a lot to solve the problems and ensure that the client leaves satisfied, but the facilities are definitely very finished.
Besides, they do check-in until 5:30 in the afternoon in all the hotels, it does at 3 in the afternoon. I don't know why they make a difference here and make customers who choose this hotel wait.

One goes with limited time to enjoy an all-inclusive hotel. Unfortunately, this hotel is very ugly, old and they do not pay attention to providing good service, the food is terrible.

The islanders complain that tourism has decreased but in addition to the fact that the island is finished and full of tourists, the taxi drivers in the vast majority are rude and ask for a lot of money for any sale they make and the merchants and the hotel zone have done nothing to improve the island.

Too bad for the Decameron chain, almost all the hotels are finished, they eliminated dinners in the other hotels at night and in Rocky Cay only until 4 pm......they have a paradise in San Andrés and they are wasting it.

Supervision, training and maintenance. The customer service agent Ana Maria lacks just training in customer service, her attitude, responses and attention, do not seem to obey any corporate policy on this, one only finds excuses, dissent and hostility in responding to requests, not claims requests. The noise until 1:30 am in the rooms located around the show area is ridiculous to rest, and the response of the security area is that those people are in a bar and can demand loud music and drink, whether it be 12 people, ignoring the rest needs of the perhaps 200 guests of that area, again lack of training and the next day when reporting what happened, they said they would solve, but nothing happened, the same noise and volume continued night after night and no one supervised what happened there. The toilet of the rooms is lousy, they do not clean the showers, they do not clean the mirrors, they do not sweep under the beds no matter how much sand there is, of the toilet would be much to say that they clean it, because on the outside we found it dirty and only cleaned once when we arrived we found it dirty taaan, the rest of our stay was as it was, to the month of the sink not once passed a rag, it looked full of hair and dust, which we ourselves cleaned. If someone reviewed or supervised cleaning protocols, they would encounter such oversights and could better train staff and demand quality work. Same for runners, stairs and living rooms. The maintenance of the rooms much to be desired, the keys leaked, the toilet was returned, it was blocked for no reason and the room smelled horrible all the time, we had to leave the door open most of the time to vent and even talk the day they uncovered, we touched all day outside. Mushrooms and rust from shower keys and sinks and toilet tartar show that they have long been in need of renovation, but they are at the service of guests like us who after this experience, never want to return to this hotel.

Unfortunate experience, it is perceived as a misleading situation. The facilities are extremely poor and the rooms show unacceptable physical and hygienic conditions. Even in the "new" part of the "hotel", it doesn't seem like they should have a license to operate. The food quality is poor and the staff are untrained and surprisingly rude.

Options to visit other hotels are advertised, but in reality these alternatives are inaccessible. This experience is completely disappointing and greatly affects the vacation and the perception of San Andrés as a tourist destination. Staying in a place like this leaves a lot to be desired.

Decameron needs a significant improvement, since the services they promote in their communication channels do not align with reality. They are damaging their reputation and, what is even worse, they are causing tourists to not consider San Andrés as an attractive destination for their vacations.

If you are considering visiting San Andrés, I advise you to avoid staying at any Decameron hotel. If you're worried about the quality of the food, trust me you'll find much better options elsewhere (although it's a good idea to ask about prices first). Your health will appreciate not consuming low-quality food and avoiding such unfavorable housing conditions.

From the moment you enter they make you feel that you are in the cheapest hotel in the Decameron. You enter at 3 in the afternoon and they tell you we have time until 5 to give you a room and if you complain they tell you there are people waiting for one since early morning 😳 as if you deserve the wait. The restaurant is buffet style but no one controls that the children do not touch the food, the trays are located in the center of the room, so I saw people sticking their nose in to smell a chocolate sauce, a child playing with the bread, and no officials He did not say anything.
The reservation application worked only one day and when you enter another decameron with a reservation for dinner or lunch from San Andrés saying that you come from San Luis and it is as if they gave you something...

Improve customer service by the hostesses of check in check out because they are very unfriendly and do not provide information when the guest arrives. I do not agree on the app to book lunch as there are few places, there is also no variety in seafood in the restaurants law firm of all hotels in ADZ. The rooms have a lot of humidity and unleveling of floors as where I was a well was made in the center of the bathroom, the curtain fell quite a lot and two days after arrival they fixed it. We went to decameron acuarium for a day and had to pay 60,000 for beach towel, in decameron the dolphins asked us to have brought beach towel to take us out and St. Louis never informed us of this.
What a pity Decameron has lost excellence in customer service, variety in their meals, training their bartenders and the nightly shows are with poor or poor. They deserve three (3) stars.

The hotel could improve, give you more painted maintenance, run lawns or re-embrace
The Room, they should still paint it, improve the shouting and / or change it, have good Wife signal inside the rooms that not have that is disappointing and desperate, every time you have to go outside to call or receive the messages, for the cost they charge they should put wife, the TV should clean the screens which in my case it was noticeable mark of fingers and dust, with a special liquid to clean screens they can do it, improve, repair the wiring that gives the signal of cable channels, I think there are a maximum of 20 channels and they do not look well all distorted despite warning the problem came the person in charge corrected a little the signal but it was not improved, I told me it was an outside problem, it is no excuse improve.
The buffet dining room, all fine so much in the staff that there were friendly people in bringing your drinks you wanted and the food all fine, but it could vary some dishes.
I could not dine at the Japanese restaurant, I did not reach the quota that was only at 8:00am I was told, they should increase the quota and/or build another restaurant so that guests have another food option.
Staff lack kindness to treat better, give them teamwork, to reduce the stress they must have, such as treating the public.
I hope they get better and when I get back I see the change.

The hotel is very dilapidated, the rooms smell damp and the bathrooms very finished. On entering it looks dirty, there are hair and glasses on the upstairs to the rooms. I bought the ocean view room, which is noisy and without any visibility. The worst in the food at the Italian restaurant which is the only one outside the buffet. Dude, finished tablecloths, they offered us cannelloni and gave us corn tortilla with some shrimp. I filed the complaint with a Decameron multi-holiday official and he replied that this chain was not luxury than if I did not have money for more than I did not complain. I was insulted. I don’t know what happens to this chain was very good and now everyone comments on the bad service and how deteriorated it is especially in San Andrés and then complain that there is no tourism. It is not gifted and it is cheaper to leave the country to a true all-inclusive

Hotel in decline, I have been there three times since 2006, it has gotten worse each time and I don't think I will return. The hotel lacks maintenance, before there were two themed restaurants, now they merged them into one that, although good, lost its personality. If you go two nights, three days, you will only be able to enjoy this restaurant for one night and that is if you find a reservation. We stayed in a room with an ocean view, in a relatively new tower, spacious and comfortable, but it lost the island essence of the other rooms, it looks like a business hotel room. The hotel suffered from the loss of beach and also the deterioration of the island's perimeter road, but they do nothing to improve the traveler's experience: offering transportation to the rocky cay beach club would be enough, but not only do they not offer it but that the bus route that passed before and facilitated transportation, no longer does so due to the damage to the road, so the only option left is to take an old, dirty and expensive taxi. There are many better options in San Andrés, both in location and service. The change of owners of the Decameron chain is noticeable.
