There are so many reasons not to stop or stay at La Sala Posada (in the middle of nowhere, no wi-fi, small old fahioned bedrooms) - but just lay these aside, and come here to enjoy the kind of old fashioned charm and personal service which you did not think could be experienced any longer! The couple that runs La Sala literally invites its guests into their private house, and treats you like royal guests. Here everything is genuine: The food (fantastic home cooking, and breakfast among the best ever anywhere), the house (used to belong to a cuneral hero from the war of independence, and still looks its part), the setting ( a beautiful garden, eat outside on the front side of the house with the moon right above). As a contrast to your regular hotel, this is unbeatable for its charm! Also, definitely the most modestly priced place we stayed our two weeks in Argentina

Horacio and his wife Anna were wonderful and made us feel like royalty. Their English was better than our Spanish and Horacio showed us around their old house which was build in 1860. Old shutters on the windows and thick walls and wooden beams. All set back off the road in a pretty garden area. Perfect for relaxing with a glass of good wine and some of their divine green olives or Dulce du leche and walnut sweets they sell. We ate a nice dinner of steak and potatoes there. Breakfast was croissant with dulce du leche inside with biscuits and fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Would happily stay again even if though they did only have 2 single beds in the rooms.
