We as a family of 4 adults found the tranquility and beautiful setting after a long flight from Australia to be wonderfully restful. Very welcoming, great rooms, and so close to Anzac area for our pilgrimage explorations. 3 nights was too short to enjoy it all! Great food and wine, and service was extra special in organizing some local tours... More

My daughter and I stayed at Gallipoli Houses for two nights. We likes that it was out of the hussle and bussle of the town. Enjoyed our walk around the little village escorted by the local dogs, who were very friendly. the rooms and beds were excellent.

From the moment I stepped through the front gate I was won over. The green courtyard is so welcoming but not as warmly as Guni who greeted us gave us a limonata, signed us in ever so efficiently and then showed us around our room. We arrived late afternoon so opted for the House dinner, which was a brilliant decision... More

We were a group of four Aussie guys on a trip to explore the battlefields of WW1. The Gallipoli houses was an ideal lacation for our stay in Turkey - we could not fault the facilties, rooms, food or hospitality. Eric was also very helpful with his knowledge on the Gallipoli, Suvla and Cape Helles battlefields. We would certainly recommend... More

Really enjoyed our 3 nights at the Gallipoli Houses. Nestled in a small farming village, close to all the sites of the battlefield and the ferry if you want to go over to Asia, the Gallipoli Houses is a warm and special place. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Meals are taken in the Gallipoli Houses restaurant ...a mix of... More

This is a very charming hotel, set in a small village within the National Park. It's within the battlefield area so you don't have to take the long drive and ferry from Cannakele, which is so beneficial if you're spending long days touring the many sites on the peninsular and/or only have a short amount of time in the area.... We stayed here on a tour of the battlefield and cemeteries due to it's great location, but this hotel is much more than that.. Eric, the owner is a wealth of fantastic information on all things related to the First World War in Turkey - truly passionate about his subject and very willing not only to advise on the best... We stayed here for two nights when we toured the Gallipoli battlefields. The location is great, the place lovely. Breakfast and dinner are included and very good. The eggs at breakfast were the best I had ever tasted! The chickens are very free range, we saw them wandering all round the little village. The owner baked gluten free bread especially... More

Just like the title it is perfect hideaway in a small green Turkish village with an honorable history coming from World War I. The rooms are clean, the service is fine and the food is very good. It may be a silent spot, where you can rest and enjoy yourself and surely see around historical locations in Canakkale.

Charmed, exceptional, peaceful, serene, delicious, beautiful... The setting is stunning, peaceful and quiet to, joy to come back to after surrounding yourself in such a tragic history while visiting the sites. Rooms simple and luxurious at the same time. Dining a foodies delight, service and attention to detail first class. Ask for the comfort food menu! Thank you Eric and... More
