I suppose what you pay for is what you get. Whilst the location of the Grand Eceabat is wonderful the hotel is in serious need of a makeover or at least a good clean up. Our room could have been much cleaner as there was fluff on the floor, the toilet leaked and the shower/bath recess was not particularly clean....

Situated directly opposite the Canakkale ferry terminal, the Grand Eceabat is more Eceabat than grand. It needs a complete renovation. Poor shower facilities and poor carpet. The reception desk relied on another person to interpret. That's ok in another country, but I would have thought some consideration for nonTurkish guests would have been considered. The internet is poor and generally...

We thought this would be the best place to stay as it is close to Anzac Cove. Unfortunately the hotel needs major renovations. Our bed was completely broken in the middle, carpet stained and dirty. The breakfast was very average. Got the impression no one cared. Only good thing was Garvin of Battlefield Tours has his office there. He arrange...

While in the way for Troy tour, we stopped here for lunch only. Met with RSL Tour operator and guide Hasan. Third floor restaurant has a nice view to the sea. We had our lunch Turkish kebab with rice and salads. Then watermelon and a cup of tea. We took many photos from the top facing the sea and the...

This hotel is right by the ferry boat terminal-so good if you need to get off and find place to stop immediately. However very old hotel - very tired furnishings. staff good but very noisy at night. near to restaurants -the Limon nearby very good value. poor buffet breakfast- tea and coffee lukewarm. Beds not comfortable-bathroom small and shower cubicle...

We didn't have a choice as it was part of a tour...it's average accommodation, but clean with great staff...one lift that didn't always work, so be prepared to climb to the 5th floor to the restaurant...food was boring and almost the same everyday...great location though, centre of town and close to everything...

The remarks about the hotel's physical appearance are all true, however I have to commend the highly personal and enjoyable service we got from the staff at the restaurant one summer evening and the help noticing my back was sore from the front-office staff while I was entering a bus (and proceeding to go and get me painkillers and water...

The Grand Eceabat Hotel belies its name by being anything but grand. We spent one night here. We were given a four bed room with a very tired décor and a rather "organic" odour emanating from the bathroom. This was on the 2nd floor that was serviced by an asthmatic lift. At about 4am our slumber was broken by the...

There is nothing 'grand' about this hotel. It was included as part of a booked tour so we assumed it would be fine..big mistake. When we arrived our room had previously been inhabited by a smoker so we had to air the room in order to breathe. Fridge wasn't working so couldn't chill our 'free' bottle of water. Hotel is...
