Small city family run hotel. Close (not many kilometers for daily trips) to very important arceological sites like "Epidaurus theatre", Nafplion, Argos, Mykenes, Korinthos, Nemea, Athens,... Also close for daily tours to Poros, Hydra, Methena,... Walking distance to the "small theatre os epidaurus" and to the beaches. Our hotel it is not a luxury hotel but we all try to give the best to our guests and make them feel like home.

We came as guests and left as friends. We felt at home from the very first moment in the friendly and family atmosphere. The simple rooms were extremely clean and were cleaned daily. The emphasis was on quality and freshness at breakfast and it was served at the table. The central location, right on the harbor promenade, is ideal for exploring the town and the surrounding area. The small ancient theater and all kinds of taverns are just a few minutes' walk away. The hospitable family that runs the hotel made our stay carefree.
Thank you very much for that. We'll be happy to come back.

If you want to feel like home on holiday this is where you need to be. The service is unmatched by anything I have ever experienced, mostly because of how much the amazing family who runs this charming and beautiful hotel truly care about their guests. Once you have stayed here you will want to return ❤️

We have visited Archaia Epidavros for the third time and stayed again is this nice hotel.
The building is perfectly located by the harbour of the town, facing the wonderful little bay that is always a pleasure to look at.
All facilities are clean and well lept, the rooms are bright and air conditioned.
The staff were friendly as always, the breakfasts delicious, the service just perfect.
We couldn't ask for anything that they wouldn't manage for us.
I recommend this place for everyone for a charming holiday!

After travelling for over three hours in temperatures in the mid 40's and having spent the previous night in our worst ever Greek hotel, the slightest smile would have been welcome enough but we got far more. A beaming smile, an outstretched hand and a welcome by name from Yiorgos, one of the two brothers who run the hotel with their mother, Christina - who founded the hotel with her husband nearly 30 years ago.
The details of this hotel are very true to the web site. It is located located in an excellent position, directly across the road from the harbour in Palea Epidavros. On the ground floor is a popular cafe and bar (no disturbance from this) and across the road are also tables and chairs (with good sunshades). There is a small lounge on the first floor mezzanine with a selection of paperbacks and a lift to the rooms.
We were fortunate enough to have the second floor room shown on the web site; this was at the front of the hotel and had views of the harbour and it's environs. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully cool with it's air conditioning and balcony. The bathroom was also spotlessly clean with a large shower cubicle; large enough not to have the curtain sticking to your body - sheer bliss. Although we only stayed for 2 nights the bedding and towels were changed daily - by the time we'd had breakfast the room had been cleaned and the linen changed.
Breakfast, which is charged extra, is served either indoors or across the road and is chosen from a short menu. You can choose the continental breakfast or something from the freshly cooked items - everyone seems to fall in love with Christina's homemade breakfast cake (as a diabetic I could only sample a crumb or two - delicious).
The cafe gets quite busy in the evenings with people stopping for drinks or to sample Christina's excellent pizzas and pasta (seriously good) and has a laid back ambience to it.
Whilst we were there a French family arrived - mum, dad and two children - and the welcome was equally as warm; it seems that this hotel is suited to all needs. In the lounge are two thick visitors books stretching back over many tears and after reading some of the entries it was obvious that we were not the only guests to feel the way we we did, this has been going on for years.
Officially the hotel is 2 star and this is true, the hotel does'nt boast a pool or jacuzzi etc but it certainly delivers it's 2 stars in 5 star style. I would recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again.

In this hotel you will find the real Greece: authenticity, kindness and true hospitality (in Greek 'filoxenia'). The hotel is maintained and cleaned like your own home. The homemade marmelade and the orange cakes are simply delicious. To sum up : you absolutely have to stay at this marvelous hotel when you are out to discover the beautiful archaeological sites in Argolida (Mycenes, Corinthos, Epidavros, Palamidi-Nauplio, ....)

We originally regarded the stay in the Hotel Christina in Old Epidavros on the first night of our holiday as a convenient stopover on the way to our main hotel in Poros. However, we enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for the last night of our holiday and intend to go back in the future. We cannot recommend this hotel and indeed the little town itself enough.

The moment we arrived, Giorgos came out into the street and helped us with our luggage. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Without us asking, we were told about all the places to visit in the immediate area. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The rooms are airy and clean. The balconies are generously sized. The hotel is very a few seconds' walk from the beautiful little bay, which is full of fishing boats. This is authentic, friendly Greek hospitality and we have no hesitation in going back there.

If you like this type of small family run Greek hotel then the Christina will not disappoint. Well located with good views over the harbour from the upper seafront rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast not included but a good menu can be found in the downstairs cafe/snack bar at reasonable prices. Our room was very clean with excellent housekeeping and included air conditioning. We spent five nights here as a base for touring around ancient sites of the Argolid plus visiting Tolon, Nauplion and Poros. Very much enjoyed ourb stay.

Eighteen room family run hotel in Epidavros. Clean and well maintained. The family made us feel at home in minutes. They have repeat customers who have been coming back for forty years. The rooms are not luxurious but they have air conditioning, TV and balconies facing the sea. A room is 40 euros a night.

Although we didn't actually stay here, we popped in for breakfast while on the way to the ancient theatre, the staff were very friendly and informative (regarding the smaller version of the amphitheatre in the town). Breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice probably from the nearby orange groves, also we were treated to some wonderful home made cake (on the house), on saying how delicious it was off the man went and came back with two more pieces to take with us, he said we had made his mother happy who had made the cake. Delightful people!! ( Below I have marked "sleep quality as excellent seeing as it is a quiet seafront location).

The only way is a boat taxi (but is expensive). You can go by boat to Poros (and then to Galatas) and take a taxi from there.
