This farmhouse located just beside the bus stop for bus that runs from bohinj bistrica to lake bohinj. It is also conveniently located near a wonderful restaurant - Pr'pristavc that serves delicious food. Lots of people are always around to order pizza for take away because they do it so well. I had a wonderful time with the family as they were very accommodative towards my needs. Maria was very friendly and helpful. She and her daughter helped me get my laptop repaired. Just 10 minutes after I asked their help the engineer drove over and repaired my laptop for a very reasonable price. Moija helped to drive me to the airport for just 50 Euros which was so much more reasonable than the usual quoted price of the taxi for 75 Euros. She is usually busy but thankfully she was free on the day I flew off. She also showed me around the farm - met the cows, calves, cat, kittens, rabbits, ducks and chickens. Rooms were well made with enough towels and own kitchen featuring stove, oven, fridge. Everything one needs is all there. I am very thankful for everything they have done for me. All smiles.

My family and I were hosted at Farmhouse Soklic during a spontaneous summer holiday in the Alps of Slovenia. What a find this guesthouse was! The hosts are enormously friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were clean, well kept and spacious. The wifi worked well enough for us to have uneventful Skype calls. As it is a dairy farm, we were offered more fresh milk, free of charge, than we could possibly drink (despite our best efforts) and the children were offered to visit a mini-petting farm comprising kittens, ducklings, rabbits, new born calves and various other farm animals. In terms of position, the Farmhouse Soklic is just over the road from a very good restaurant (if you don't fancy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen of the flat), just across a farmer's field from the entrance of the hiking route leading to Oroznova koca (a great 3-3.5h hike to a nice chalet where you can reward yourself with an amazing strudel) and some 10-15 min driving to lake Bohinj and the associated attractions (cable car or 2.5-3h hiking trail to Vogel chalet, waterfall, etc). Farmhouse Soklic is one with nature: even under the roof of the balcony, there is life. The inns and outs of swallows in the nests under the roof fascinated the children almost as much as the pool table and the trampoline available for their use. Highly recommended but, if you go in the summer, book well in advance as they tend to be busy.

The farm is perfect for a family. Our two old son enyojed a lot discovering animals they have on the farm. The family is super nice. The studio we took was bigger than expected. It was nice warm (was december) and clean. The location is also very good. The Lake Bohinj really near as well other atractions. We already decide ti come back in summer time.

We book this farmhouse near Bohinj Lake for two nights but actually stayed here for a week. The appartment was good with everything we needed and with a huge balcony. The owner was very friendly, spoke good English and made our stay very comfortable. Every morning we had fresh milk from the farmhouse and home-made sugar-free apple juice. There were a dog and many cows there. It is located 2-3 km from Bohinj lake, a 30 min walk, but good mountain bicycles were available at the farmhouse for free use. So we did many routes with bikes. The area near the lake was very beautiful with fantastic mountains around. We bought some nice cheese and recotta from another farmhouse located over the road. Pizzeria was also very close. During our stay we also visited cheese and wine festival and cow festival in September. All were nice. We can reccommend this place for someone who likes fresh air, clean water, trekking, biking, animals, very clean and beatiful lake and mountains. Bohinj lake is our top pick among four lakes we visited during our one month and a half trip - Garda in Italy, Bohinj and Bled in Slovenia, Balaton in Hungary.

My husband and I stayed in a studio apartment in June, and was one of the highlights of our trip. The apartment is great value, with a fully equipped kitchen, a large shared balcony, and only a few minutes’ drive from lake Bohinj. The hosts are very welcoming and have a basic understanding of English, on arrival we were offered drinks, and given a jug of fresh cow’s milk in the morning which was a lovely touch. The accommodation is basic but very good value for money, and would be perfect for families with children as they have a trampoline, toys, and of course farm animals. My only one nit-pick is that it's very hard to locate as there are no signs. The farmhouse is located just off the main road on a small street with a bus stop on the corner. If you keep following the road straight ahead, you will see the farmhouse entrance with red painted snowboards on the front. All in all a fantastic stay, we will be back!
