Hotel Dvorec invites you to its cozy and friendly atmosphere. The hotel offers 58 rooms of various sizes (from single to family), 49 of which are in the main building and additional 9 in the depandance building across the square. Since the hotel got new owners in 2016, some major renovations have been taking place, and all the rooms in the main building are now renovated. All rooms have got en-suite bathrooms with a shower or a bath, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and individually set air-conditioning now come as a standard amenities in all rooms. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises. Bed and breakfast is the most common service, while full board and half board services are available upon request. We are proud to serve meals prepared from fresh and local ingredients. All our menus are based on traditional and seasonal choices. At Hotel Dvorec you get to taste the local "Tolmin" cheese, produces on a nearby farm and the famous trout from our beautiful rivers. Alongside tasty food we can offer a selection of wines, for the beer lovers there is local craft beer. And the coffee? Locally roasted, of course. Free public parking is available about 200m from the hotel. Unfortunatelly, the building itself is a historical site and building own parking garage is not allowed. Storage room with drying lockers is available for ski equipment, fishing equipment, paragliding equipment, etc. As a good host, we will help you with organizing your activities and take you to unforgettable adventures. If in doubt our staff will help you out with details. Check-in: 14:00 - 20:00 (nov - apr), 15:00 - 22:00 (may - oct); late-night check in is available upon request. Check-out: 07:00 - 10:00. More about: Hotel Dvorec is an excellent starting point for recreational activities in pristine nature surrounding Tolmin. In close vicinity, there are ideal conditions for hiking, mountaineering, climbing and cycling. Get an adrenaline rush with rafting, kayaking or canoeing on the stunning, emerald Soča River. If you prefer fishing, you can try your luck in catching the indigenous Marble trout. Our mountains offer excellent opportunities for paragliding. We can offer you a hotel shuttle to launch points or take you to ski resorts, such as Kanin and Cerkno, which are suitable for both experienced and less experienced skiers.

A hotel with a charming old world vibe. Many of the rooms are in a building directly opposite the main hotel. I would recommend avoiding rooms in the top floor as headroom is impeded by the roof slope. Otherwise rooms are very comfortable and clean. Very nice breakfast with lots of food options. Several very good, reasonably priced restaurants within a short walk.

Our room at the Hotel Dvorec was not very large, but it was very clean and all the common areas also seemed very clean. Good soundproofing, we slept without problems. The bathroom, however, was decidedly undersized and a little uncomfortable, but having stayed only one night it wasn't a big problem.
The breakfast was decent, without much variety but with a good quality of the products on the buffet.
Staff with top marks, reduced to the bare bones but who, despite everything, always do their utmost to try to satisfy every customer. Tolmin is not a village that offers much, nor is the Dvorec a hotel that offers much, but on the other hand, what little there is is managed with a lot of heart.

Stayed here last autumn and had a good stay, so booked to stay again this month when I was going to be in the area again. Unfortunately, the hotel has had a steep decline in quality since my first stay. Customer service has become very poor; the person working reception was polite during check-in but didn't seem to have been trained much (if I hadn't stayed before, I would've had no idea where to park, when breakfast was, that there was WiFi...). More than once when I went to reception, a staff member saw me from a distance and retreated instead of coming to assist me. There was one lady in reception who was very good at the job and helpful, but she was the exception.

Of relation to customer service, the buffet breakfast was of very variable quality from day to day. Not clear if lack of some items on given days was a matter of supply or simply a failure to put things out. Silverware and cups were also dirty a few times, or just weren't available at all.

Trash can in room wasn't emptied for several days in a row despite a complaint to reception and it being so full we started a separate bag. Towels were removed but not replaced one of the days. Maid service also ignored when we left sign on door one day saying it did not need to be cleaned... which isn't a huge deal on its own, but seemed part of a larger pattern of a sloppy approach.

I'd guessed that the hotel was having problems retaining staff and that this is reason for the customer service issues; per a local, the hotel did fire much of the staff over the winter due to COVID and when they tried to rehire for summer, found that many people had found other jobs, so the staff is almost entirely new.

The room itself was fine, although the lack of a kettle is frustrating, particularly given that this is on the more expensive end for the area. Bathroom was a good size, water pressure was fantastic, air conditioner worked well. Stayed in one of the double rooms, and these feature shutters on the windows, which I was very happy about since I hate having the sun streaming through the window at 7 a.m. The shutter also helped keep noise from outdoors out of the room.

Locks on doors, which were key entry last autumn, have been "upgraded" to card entry. The lock on our room at least was not very reliable; had to get a new card twice. I am not happy that these doors still lack deadbolts.

Still no elevator; when I stayed in 2020, I was told that one was going to be added as part of renovations, but in the interim that intent was seemingly abandoned.

Hope the hotel bounces back, but right now it just is not a good choice, especially when there's a lot of availability in other hotels, B&Bs, etc. in the area.

Dear guest, Thank you for your opinion. Especially since you are a return guest. We will think about what you wrote to us and do our best to make it different in the future. We will do our best to improve the experience. Unfortunately, the elevator was not in use this year, because everything is delayed due to the general situation. Unfortunately also Covid changed the course. Thank you for your understanding and hope to see you again in Hotel Dvorec. Regards, Hotel Dvorec team.

We stayed in this hotel 2 nights. We had superior room - renovated room. It is very big and with modern equipment. We were positive surprised.

We were a little disappointed with cleanness of bath tub. It had a little cobweb. If you have the room with viev on the street, you have a noise (open window besause of hot).

The staff were very friendly - except one person one morning in the restaurant at breakfast. She had a lot of work, but her words were not hospitable. Guests must wait for cleaaning the tables (some guests clean alone), for food in buffet...and if you asked her for something was unkind: "Nobody will not be hungry". And started to sing to herself. For the price for the room it is not acceptability.

The breakfast was good, dinner nothing special.

In the reception jou can buy tickets for the river bed of river Tolminka. Hear it is cheaper.

But...we had a nice time in this part of Slovenia.

Didn't stay at the hotel but had a coffee at their outside cafe. Great coffee, quick service. Biked here on our way to the train station so also needed to use their restroom which was very clean. Thankfully coffee is easy to understand in any language as our waitress didn't know English, French or Spanish. Our guide spoke Slovenian so all went well.

We stayed at thie Hotel Dvorec for three nights. The room was extremely clean and functional. The staff is very friendly and helpful, giving lots of good advice for sightseeing in the area. And the restaurant - it is not to be missed. We ended up eating there each evening because it was so good. Typical Slovenian dishes are available, and the service was excellent.

I was told to find another hotel. Simply because I said that our reservation was for double bed. I did not even insist.
Besides I realized later that when we checked in the recepcionist was smiling because we had to carry the lugagge up the stairs since elevator was in maintenance.

Bad rooms that do not mirror those in the picture. Value for money too low. Extremely small bathroom and TV to see it takes binoculars. A camping refrigerator jnutike placed on a box. Breakfast ok, cold welcome but peace. Location ok.

We stayed two nights. We were on the top floor, 60 stairs up with broken elevator (it looked like it had been out of service a LONG time), a lot of steps when toting luggage. Lots of debris at top of stairs. Odd room layout, and poorest food for breakfast and dinner we experienced on our Slovenia trip. There aren't many options in Tolmin, but this is definitely not a good one.

Dear guest, thank you for your comment. We appreaciate your opinion. The elevator was not broken. We modernized the elevator, installed a new one. Due to the general situation, the contractors were late. Thank you for your understanding. We will try to improve the food offer, with a new approach and team. We're sorry you had the mentioned experience. Thank you for your visit and we hope to see you again sometime. Hotel Dvorec team.
