Having walked the Camino starting in France and continuing after Santiago de Compostela to Muxia this alburgue proved a wonderful place to finally rest and re-nourish. The hospitality and warmth offered by Rosa heartened the body and the soul. Love and service offered, truly in the spirit of the Camino.
I’ve spend magical days in a picturesque jewellery box, in Muxia, Galicia, Spain with great people at Albergue Delfín. I highly recommend to all travelers, hikers, Camino travelers, or just for those who want to stop by, take rest or to come by directly like me to get relaxed. I had the opportunity to meet people there, from each corner of the world within 4 days. US, Ireland, England, Korea, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, France, Spain and more. All were satisfied and positive about the Albergue Delfín, the family atmosphere, the extreme helpful and multilingual staff. Rooms are clean and hygen and keeping silence for those who want to sleep. All small details are just remarkable. You can pay cash or card, to cook, boil or heat your stuff, your clothes can be washed and dryed, you can take umbrella if needed, ride on bycicle, get great guidance for everything to be visited nearby. Fresh fruits always available. Baker comes by each morning. I’ll visit again surely Zsolt Kecskeméti Germany…
The albergue is located along the seafront. My visit was in November, the end of the season and very quiet. The facilities were very good, clean, nice decor. Great value at just €11 per night. The 2 Hungarian ladies who own the albergue were really friendly and helpful, making it a very restful finish to my Camino trip. Would recommend.
We arrived at this Albergue in Muxía after walking 30 kilometres in pouring rain. We were drenched but when we walked in the door the owner and manager, Rosa, was right there to help us get out of our wet clothes. She washed and dried our clothes while we recovered in a hot shower. Later she offered us a cup of hot tea. Rosa was full of useful information re restaurants, sightseeing and bus schedules. The Albergue was conveniently located on the Main Street. It was exceptionally clean with sheets, pillowslips and blankets provided. There was also a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge and dining area. Rosa is Hungarian but also speaks English and Spanish. I highly recommend this Albergue to anyone visiting Muxia.
Not very friendly. Felt like they just wanted the money. Clean enough. Never got to use the showers. Made it clear in the morning that we needed to get out asap even though sign says checkout is until 9 a.m. Soulless.
