Hotel and restaurant situated in a beautiful old castle. Friendly service, an intimate but well-equipped swimming pool and lots of attractions for children around. I highly recommend it for a family getaway for a weekend or longer.

The Hotel is a beautiful located at the picturesque Vistula river bank. The complex consist of 3 hotels ,named Rycerski,The Castle and Marysienki Palace .We stayed in the Rycerski Hotel which is modern one.The reception is for all Hotels is situated in the Castle ,the receptionist was competent and helpful. There is on-site car parking, not free of charge. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious with balconies with a nice view on the Vistula river. There is a lift in the Rycerski Hotel but it runs from basement not from the ground where the entry is located .There is restaurant in the Hotel ,where excellent breakfast also is served .The breakfast was sumptuous with many from local produce to choose from. It's the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. You can enjoy all amenities of the Hotel complex. We can recommend this Hotel Castle Gniew

Basically two hotels - with a slightly worse standard of Marysieńka and a better Rycerski. Of course, the great advantage is the castle itself and its history and wonderful views of the Wisla River and Wierzyca River.Very much area around - a large parking lot, a playground for children, , a bar with grill There is a possibility to order a fire, sun loungers with a view of the river, meadows with horses outside. Various interiors - where the castle - reception, swimming pool, place where you can buy souvenirs - very nice, impressive. The restaurant is also quite nice in the Rycerski hotel with lots of places and great cuisine and a good selection of alcohols. Night club and bowling alley in the castle. The rooms are not nice, there is no air-conditioning. Everything is fine, but 4 stars (the fact that 4 thanks to the Spa) a little bit, internet fast, average service - I met a lot of nice customers, but also a lot of customers and the standards are kept, so ok.

I have stayed in Hotel Rycerski, which is not the actual castle. The room was very spacious. The double bed was narrow though. I felt that the room needed some renovation, may be a new coat of paint. Breakfast was quite good. A wide selection of local delicacies, including herring and home made cold cuts. There was also a good choice of cheese. However, there weren't any nuts, dried fruits or a selection of home made jams. And that's a shame for a 4 star hotel. I would stay in the hotel once again, but next time in the castle itself.

Stayed with family July, 2018. Normal hotel, good location, good breakfast but nothing outstanding. Still the attitude of reception personnel took us by surprise. We forgot a personal belonging in the hotel room. Soon after returning home we contacted the reception and they confirmed the item is with them and they are ready to send it via regular mail. As time went by and I received nothing, I tried to email the reception several times - no answer, complete ignorance. It is sad that a hotel that positions itself as a 4 star accomodation, is having such indifferent and ignoring attitude. Would never recommend it to my friends.

I've stayed there a few times already, though last time i had the chance to check on the room with a balcony, and I recommend that you request this one for your stay. You'll be able to sip a coffee, looking at the castle and the surroundings. Such a beautiful view! My personal room though was quite poor with a terrible view to a parking behind the hotel. The bathroom clean but a bit unpleasant as this one was for disabled people. Room was much smaller than others, and less comfortable. Another thing is staff at the restaurant downstairs - unfriendly every single time A bit troublesome is the fact that they have only one iron with the desk on a certain floor corridor, and so you gotta leave your room if you want to iron the clothes. Breakfast - as always, not very outstanding. Just normal breakfast, not even very delicious.

We ended up in this hotel for the wedding of friends, the room is spacious and clean, equipped with a walk in shower. As it was very hot outside, the only downside of the room was the lack of air conditioning and not able to close the blinds and keep the window open at the same time. This made the room (directly under the roof) very hot.

A little biased perhaps as we were here for my son's wedding but the hotel complex was quite impressive, especially the castle. We had rooms in the main hotel and were lucky enough to get a balcony - the room was spacious and well equipped and the bathroom had a walk in shower. I gather rooms in the other separate hotel block were not as spacious. Breakfast comprised of a mammoth buffet - hot and cold and sweet and savoury dishes: something for everyone really. We speak no Polish at all but there were enough English speaking staff to make up for our ignorance.
