"Hostel Copacabana" is a pleasant and comfortable place located in the centre of the historical town of La Quiaca, Jujuy. This is Argentina’s most Northerly town, standing at a height of 3,442 meters above sea level. We have restored an old house, preserving its own style with stone and tile flooring, wooden doors and windows, rustic orange walls, stone plated skirting boards, ceilings of medium height and a large sunny patio. Without a doubt this is the perfect place to spend unforgettable moments with your partner or family. The rooms are decorated with borders, paintings and curtains of northern Argentina’s own colors, and include central heating, a TV, a wardrobe, and a reading light. Hostel Copacabana is considered the perfect location as it is in close proximity to the central market, the bus station, banks, and ATMs, as well as being only five blocks from the Bolivian border to the town of Villazón. We have 20 rooms which combine the character of the past with all of today’s modern comforts. The hostel is a warm place where, because of its size and the number of rooms, it offers a personalized service run by its owners. Hostel Copacabana comes with five new bathrooms with constant hot water 24 hours a day, and a kitchen which is equipped for guests with dishes, a television, and music. There is free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hostel, a washing machine for guests, a breakfast service, a laundry service, free luggage storage and tourist information on Northern Argentina and Bolivia. This Hostel also offers guests the exclusive service of booking train tickets to Bolivia, with destinations such as: TUPIZA - UYUNI - ORURO.

Our best accommodation experience in argentina in 1 month and a half! Best word to describe this place is : 'spotless'. Its new, modern, with lot of charm and traditional vibes. and very clean. Heating system at night, and plenty hot water. Bed very comfy. We felt very comfortable in the room. Very helpful staff. Very good wifi. Good location from bus station and to reach border walking. Breakfast a bit limited (1 coffee per person, 1 piece of butter...) but its a good excuse to complete in having traditional 'pastel' breakfast at the small restaurants in the mercado municipal just accross the road!

Worth a stop after a bus journey to cross the border in the morning. Owner very nice and had advice for finding the border and nice restaurants. Breakfast very nice, great coffee. Room was decorated very well and so clean. We were well rested before tackling the border.

Lovely host who worked very hard. Bright, fun and lively decoration. Rooms were clean. Although not incredibly well sound-proofed. Hot showers with decent power. Towels provided. Wifi available but slow. Breakfast included - basic but nice, including freshly squeezed orange juice. Big communal kitchen/dining room that was well used. Location good - about 7 minutes walk to the Bolivian border and 5 minutes to centre of town and 7 minutes to bus station (saw a comment on here saying it was way out of town so we got a taxi and were pretty annoyed that we'd only gone a few blocks!) The town was very limited and border closures on the Bolivian side meant we were stranded here two nights - I think this hostel was the best thing La Quiaca has to offer and we were very grateful for it.

This place is a way out of the town. The town isn't great but it was an essential border crossing stop over. The receptionist was friendly enough but spoke no English. The room was ok but the bathrooms were pretty awful and across the outside patio area from the room. Not nice at night! The room was very loud from an all night party happening next door. It was a Sunday! We got very little sleep. I'd stay somewhere else if I were you.

We stayed for one night in a two bed private room with shared bathroom prior to crossing the border into Bolivia. The hostel was perfect for our purposes. It was very clean and the staff were very attentive. It is very good value for money. We recommend staying on the Argentinian side of the border if you need to overnight.
