After seeing places near the entrance to the National Park,we drove out of the center and found this guesthouse. It is right by part of the park but in a quiet, scenic spot. The rooms are small but clean and very basic. It was perfect for our needs. Breakfast is also tasty. There is a set breakfast ready on the table. This was a great place for early morning walking.

This resort is practically next door to the Bjorjomi national park tourist information centre. Having come for the treks, this advantage was invaluable. We were the only guests at the hotel during our stay of 3 night. Although this initially worried me, I can now say that staying here is a decision I will not forget any time soon. And this view, I owe to our host/cook/mother-figure who cooked up the most homely and scrumptious meals for us three times a day and incredibly, she was ALWAYS on time. That said, other advantages include a wonderful view, modern bathrooms and easy access to the treks. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and arrange a taxi for our journey back to the airport (for 100 GEL as compared to those we met in Tbilisi who wanted 100 USD).

Great location, adequate rooms and basic amenities. Good breakfast and delicious dinner just next to the national park. Stayed there when I visited Borjomi. My room had a balcony but I had no hot water

We had a great few days at Likani Palace. We were apparently here on off season as we were the only guests for the first two days. They gave us a free upgrade to a much nicer room, which was welcome because the low end rooms are a bit rougher than expected (book a mid to high end room to be sure). My wife is gluten free, which we explained on check in and the staff went out of their way to make sure that all meals served for the entire visit were suitable. This made the whole trip. Grounds were comfortable and beautiful. I like the hammock for an afternoon nap with a bottle of Tarkhun. Would happily transport back there now if possible. Immediately next to the national park, which is nice. A bit of a walk into town, but the walk is all downhill and beautiful. We walked in everyday and caught a taxi back. Staff spoke basically no English, but with minimal Russian and some good will this was not a problem at all. We felt very very welcome.

The hotel is in a lovely location with pretty views and boasts a friendly, relaxed staff. The rooms are simple and very clean. Our comfortable triple had the configuration of one double bed and one single bed and actually might be the one shown on the website. There was plenty of hot water and our room had access to an outdoor patio, which was nice. The public space in the hotel is on two floors, with a large gathering room upstairs and bar/restaurant downstairs. The entry way is through large, angled panes of glass (sort of like half an A frame structure) which produces an airy and light atmosphere, even in the rain (like when we were there). Our morning breakfast, included in the rate, was the "usual" Georgian feast with fresh breads, cheese, jam and pretty good coffee. On arrival the previous night, and after a misadventure at a different hotel, we were happy to find out that the restaurant was still open and a convivial group of employees was socializing so we enjoyed a beer and the famous Borjomi sparkling water before retiring for the evening. It would be a great place to return to after a day of hiking in the park and I'm sure it is busy during the season.
