We checked in after midnight and were courteously shown our rooms. The hotel is cute, artsy and with a nice garden outside to escape the hot summer sun. Staff is kind and helpful. Will stay again there when in Gyumri.

There are better hotels than this one, more luxurious and biggest, but probably not many places with so much charm and character. There are two things that make this hotel so special. One is the art that is not exposed on the walls only, but in every detail everywhere around. The other is the specific organizational culture, promoted by everyone, from the manager to the receptionists, cooks, drivers, cleaning ladies, etc. Everybody is smiling and trying their best to create unique experience for the guests. The food and cocktails in the bar are prepared with a lot of care and love. I spent a great day cross country skiing organized by the hotel. My tour guide Anna in addition to being very professional, with her local knowledge, general education and hospitality was a great company and contributed to the overall experience. I will definitely go back

This is an odd place. It is an old hospital, and the rooms are the individual hospital wards, which are still clearly hospital wards, down to the bathrooms. There is no pleasure in staying here There is nothing to show that the place is an "Art Hotel" There are no public rooms, no lounge, no bar - if you want a drink you ask at reception - is you can find anyone - and take it outside to drink The staff are not easy to find (they hide themselves away) and not particularly helpful when you do find them The restaurant is small with 4 large tables , presumably designed to cope with the large groups that are the majority of customers at the hotel. Food at dinner was plentiful, but the quality was very middle of the road cuisine. Breakfast was similar.quality, but the large German group had eaten before us and food had not been replenished, so I had to settle for a yogurt for my breakfast The hotel is in walking distance of the main city square, but there is little there I would recommend that you chose a different hotel. We were disappointed with this place.

Super comfy, the atmosphere is so warm, the staff is always there for help, everything is in walking distance. Breakfast is super, rooms are clean. The hotel is in the center of the city but there is no annoying noise or something.

I chose this hotel which had excellent reviews. Unfortunately my experience was very different. It started at check-in where the female receptionist refused to have the man next to her and doing nothing carry our luggage from the car to the room. The room itself was a mix of a basic old fashioned motel and a hospital room. The mattress was uncomfortable and the shower door was obsolete and difficult to close. The taps didn't even have a mixer and you needed to turn on the hot and cold water taps separately. Since there was no air conditioner, the window needed to be opened to cool down the room at night -not very reassuring at night when anyone could have entered the room through the window while we slept. The best thing was a good breakfast. I had also selected this hotel because the manager is known as an art expert. I had emailed him a few days before I came for him to organize interesting visits of galleries and artists during our stay. My email remained unanswered. When I met him on the morning and asked the manager for advice, he said he was busy and asked me to see him a few minutes latear. When I came to reception a few minutes later as requested and asked for him, I was told he was busy in his office and didn't have time for me. I found this gentleman's behaviour towards me extremely rude all the more I had a recommendation from a renowned French art collector. The cherry on the cake was the awful value for this hotel which is a 3 star property and charges as much as the best 5 star hotel in town! Based on my bad experience, I would definetely not recommend this basic property where I was totally ignored as a guest.
