The Isarco Valley was a discovery... still very natural and wild, especially for those who love the quiet and relaxing mountains. From here you can quickly reach many places in South Tyrol. The prices are attractive. Recommendation the Alpe di Villandro, with its alpine pastures and delicious dumplings, the excursion to the 3 churches and a walk on the Plose. The hotel where we stayed satisfied us: great breakfast, rich and varied, with sweet and savory, no table service, all buffet... eat as much as you want! The dinner that we had only 2 times, so with extra payment, very reasonable, consisted of a buffet of side dishes and a wide choice from the menu of typical dishes with natural ingredients, from first courses to desserts. I remember that bottled water is paid throughout South Tyrol, depending on the type of hotel from 2.50 euros upwards... you can feel bad not knowing it, but those who frequent these areas no longer pay attention. The rooms are spacious, of different sizes and overlook the garden and / or the Dolomites: Recommendation those higher because the view is priceless and privacy greater. The soundproofing is good, you can not hear the noises even if we happened, falling asleep, to leave the TV on-not high-and receive a call for noise from the neighbors... maybe the bed rested on the wall of our TV??? in fact approaching the TV the microphone was facing the wall.... the bathroom is spacious, there are no gadgets (eg cotton to remove make-up, cream samples, needle and thread, files etc. ..), to protect the environment, only soap for hand hygiene and shower gel-shampoo in dispenser. There is a hair phone FINALLY NORMAL!!! and not those vacuum cleaners that do not even dry the beard. The fridge is stocked, air conditioning I think is managed by the structure (at night it was a bit hot, but I think you can ask for a solution, we did not), cleanliness is great. Ours was a wonderful week because the weather was perfect and we enjoyed the spa in the breaks between one path and another: the Recommendation is for those who have no problems with schedules the use of the pool, whirlpool and saunas at lunchtime until 16 and after 18 until closing. The owners are very kind as well as the staff: reading the reviews many talk about the difficulty of communication in Italian, but I assure you it has improved compared to then and then as always you adapt, importing is understanding each other. They are well organized with excursions included in the price for which you can not really complain. I wish these people well. Thanks for the nice holiday, where I even found my origins in every church; I just hope that the archeopark is improved more and more because it is still very rudimentary.

Hotel in pure South Tyrolean style, very well looked after, very clean, attentive to the environment and almost 'plastic free'. It has a SPA with a not very large swimming pool inside and another outside; sauna, Turkish bath, hydromassage tub, Kneipp path, wellness centre, relaxation area. Very pleasant common spaces, truly courteous and smiling staff. The room I occupied, perfectly soundproofed, was made of wood and stone, newly furnished in a modern style, very comfortable and beautiful, with a large window and terrace, from which you can enjoy a superb view (the name of the hotel is not given at random) on the valley below and on the peaks in front, including the Sciliar. The restaurant is also very good, with a menu that, in addition to offering local cuisine, is also careful to satisfy vegetarian customers; the cuisine also offers fish, all preceded by a very varied and captivating salad buffet and more. The hotel has various services to promote knowledge of the surroundings, discouraging the use of private transport in favor of a good public service. It also has e-bikes, snowshoes, as well as providing a shuttle service to the ski slopes, which however are not in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The cost for a stay with 3/4 board (a solution that I highly recommend if you want to spend a few days in perfect relaxation and use almost exclusively the SPA) was 141 euros per person.

We have been going to the Stephanshof for years. The very high-quality hotel is manageable and has an excellent location. The service is friendly and helpful, the half board + is delicious, the rooms are clean with a great view, the daily activity program (hikes, guided tours) and the free South Tyrol Card for bus and train round off the offer positively at a fair price. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Three stars because only 3 points were in its favor. We stayed here 3 nights. We had the suite in the tower, the room was always spotless and towels were changed at every request. Varied and plentiful breakfast and snack. And the third point goes to Claudia, the very good and professional masseuse of the wellness centre. Having said the positive things, I find myself having to also say the negatives. I booked a 3/4 board including breakfast, snack and dinner but despite having spoken to the reception several times no one informed me (it was written on my accepted proposal) that drinks were excluded. obviously I don't mean wine or anything else, but at least water since they charge €4.80 for a 0.70 bottle of purifier. A few days before my arrival they sent me a survey via email relating mainly to my preferences regarding the wellness center with their packages to be booked in advance but.... Upon our arrival we discovered that dinner was not possible for the first evening choose because there wasn't the possibility of letting us choose in advance... So I say, you can send me the email beforehand for the paid packages and to choose the first dinner, right? I discovered this because upon our arrival in the room on the table there was a menu with some proposals and when we asked how it worked for the choice, I was told that that menu was not ours and that on the first evening there was no choice. Regarding dinner, it must be said that the only good things we ate besides the salads from the buffet (which, although always the same, were at least edible) were the multivitamin juices or smoothies that they offer as second choice in the soups. Now, regardless of everyone's tastes, I believe that being in Italy at least traditional dishes should be honoured, however, we have sadly learned in recent days that everything that concerns Italy is sadly snubbed, starting from the fact that the girls on the staff asked us in various circumstances if we could speak in German with them. Amatriciana without bacon and broken spaghetti, in addition to the fact that in our suite there was no bidet but yes in the description. When I asked at the reception why it wasn't written in the proposal that drinks were not included, I was told "everyone does this here" so I would like to point out that if I come here on holiday it's because I'm not local, furthermore the laws are the same throughout Italy, but unfortunately we felt as if we were not in Italy and also a little discriminated against given the attitudes that the staff had towards German customers compared to us and other Italians. I believe that a 4 star hotel should offer a different menu for dinner because the proposals are not quite up to par. The strudel is not made of shortcrust pastry but in this hotel it is.
I conclude by saying that paying more than 240 euros per night, plus drinks separately with absurd prices without any valid reason, given that 100m above the hotel there is a small bar, which serves the same things to drink at half the price, both incorrect and unprofessional and in my opinion you have really suffered a lapse in style. I'm sorry but we won't be back..

It exceeded all our expectations, worth all the money spent, beautiful hotel both aesthetically and in terms of environment and people, starting from the very cute girl at the reception to all the waiters always attentive to satisfying requests, in particular me being gluten intolerant and lactose there is a choice never seen anywhere with a gluten-free corner for both breakfast, dinner and snacks, bread, cereals, snacks, everything in short. The spa is also one of the largest and most beautiful with an outdoor swimming pool, sun loungers and an indoor swimming pool, hydromassage and sauna. Finally, the guided excursions deserve a note, really well organized and with beautiful views thanks to all the staff!! We hope to see you again soon!! Ps. A little personal advice on the lack of air in the room, like other friends we really suffered from the heat at night and not being able to open due to the presence of mosquitoes and bees it was very difficult to sleep and secondly in room 315 I would see the bathroom again being with a higher price, a little old, the bidet was present but unusable as it was attached to the door and could not be entered! Just this!

We got for an overnight stay a beautifully renovated Granpanorama room with mountain views. We had, based on our experiences with this hotel, booked 3/4 board and we could still enjoy the very extensive lunch buffet after arrival (available between 14.00 and 17.00). The 4 course dinner, preceded by a delicious salad buffet, was excellent. Also the breakfast was great and the staff very friendly.

We booked the "Mountain Holiday" package, which included 4 nights 3/4 Pension, guest card for public transport and museum discount and 2 couples massages. It 'was a great experience: in the hotel we really enjoyed it, the staff is exquisite kindness and great food.
The dinner, also served on the terrace, included several courses always presented very well and really good, and also breakfast in the morning and buffet in the afternoon were very rich.
The hotel is very nice and also includes wellness area with a small but lovely outdoor pool. It has a nice garden where you can sunbathe.
We always found great availability whenever we needed to ask for something.

It is a very sweet slice of life that my family and I will never forget. Spending New Year's Eve in this splendid and romantic structure, in the heart of the wonderful Dolomites, delights us with a magical and sublime atmosphere, where the white and copious flakes of snow have made our dreamy childish eyes shine, where the enchanted gaze is drowned in the majesty and beauty of the landscape of the Isarco Valley, where nature, beauty and uniqueness join hands in a fraternal way, where feeling at home does not become an artificial and crumpled spot, but a concrete reality. Guided and frequent weekly excursions will accompany you safely to the peaks of the Alto Adige, In the Isarco Valley, in the Puez-Odle National Park, on the Villandro Alp, with unique, dreamy and unmistakable views of the Dolomites, where upon returning to the facility a copious warm, welcoming snack awaits you..., Wellness Center - spa - Indoor-Heated swimming pool - Free wi-fi access - bathrobes and bath and sauna towels, South Tyrol Guest Pass - for completely free use of all transport in South Tyrol, including completely free access to several museums, this is the rest that Granpanorama generously offers you. We stayed at the StephansHof for 9 days - fantastic location, good food as 3/4 board, which you could call it, the evening menu + starter buffet was tasty with high quality products and served on the terrace if requested. We would have liked to have eaten lamb (as advertised), but unfortunately that didn't work out. Wine prices were fairly calculated, friendly staff throughout. Our Dolomites Suite was very spacious, but not optimally laid out due to the construction, a shame at a high level. We would come back, and so would our dachshund.

We did not know Villandro but it was a beautiful discovery, as was the StephansHof hotel of the Egger family. Attention to detail, with a special mention for the very nice bar part, catering with different local, vegetarian and vegan proposals and wine cellar really well stocked with local products and more. We got a standard room but she didn't miss anything. Maybe some details do not meet everyone's taste but the mountain view and the bathroom with large shower were really nice. There are also many more modernly furnished suites to satisfy the most demanding. Many electric bikes available at affordable prices, SPA overlooking a beautiful garden where you can relax after hiking. Friendly staff and fam. Egger always on site and ready for any request. There is also a column with two charging sockets for electric/hybrid cars at an affordable price. The parking management for these two outlets is to be managed better but the owners will work on it for sure to improve.
Very satisfied and highly recommended!
