‘Been here on a family trip and let’s start by saying that we are not demanding guests.
Said so all the staff (owner, waiters,...) is very polite.
The Hotel itself it’s nice, moderately clean and situatated in a nice place, perfect for an active type of vacation.
The Hotel management though should improve drastically in: waiters in the Restaurant (absolutely too slow (20-40 min wait), nonsense walking, no cleaning of the table,...), the water in the pool was one day cold as ice, the other day hot as hell (not to mentilon that the pool is not clean at all) and an overall update of the interiora which are showing some sign of time.
Overall it’a a nice hotel, wih friendly stuff but far feom beinf perfect because it seems to be lacking the will to improve.

Large room with seating area, large terrace, unfortunately bathtub around bathroom, but enough space there too. Pool, sauna. Lots of information from the staff. Bicycle cellar a bit small, but sufficient. Breakfast, dinner delicious. Beer garden.

In March 2019 my family and I have spent one week here for a ski holiday. It is located nearby the center of Krimml. The Krimml waterfalls can be visited by foot from the hotel: it takes about 20-30 minutes walking. Next door there is a bus stop and a pub, and at the other side of the street there is a ski rental shop. In the town of Krimml you can find some shops, an ATM and the local disco. The skibus brings you to the slopes in Hochkrimml in about 20 minutes. If you are going to Konigsleiten, it 'll take about 40 minutes.
The hotel has enough parking places at both sides of the hotel and there is easy access to the basement to store your skigear from outside. It has a nice garden with an outdoor pool (heated) and a separate sauna hut (nude). Inside in the wellness area there is another sauna and steamcabin (swimwear). The pool is also accessible from the wellness area.
When arriving at the hotel, you are welcomed nicely and checking in goes smoothly. Staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby isn't impressive or extra-ordinary but, just as in all other parts of the hotel, the interior is, authentic Austrian local style. This hotel is ideal for families and you feel at home easily. Also in the bar of the hotel, there is nice atmosphere.
The rooms: clean, spacious, easy accessible (there is a lift in the buliding) and providing all needed comfort (TV, radio). There wasn't a mini-bar in our room. Wifi-signal is pretty good here too. Beds are very good and bathroom is large enough. Also there is plenty of storage here. Decoration and interior of the rooms are a little bit outdated though.
Meals: rather 'average'. There isn't really something wrong with the breakfast buffet but there isn't much variation in it and it gets a bit boring after a while. That counts for dinner too: you can get soup and saladbar from the buffet but again, there isn't a lot of variation in the salad bar. Besides, main dishes are rather small in portion and not always very 'wow'. From time to time, we noticed that service wasn't going perfectly too.

Our conclusion: all taken together, we enjoyed our stay here and according to our opinion, it fulfills the standards of a nice, cosy 3* hotel.

Great location, and good hotel. Even if the water temperature in the pool was very low in the first two nights and also in some rooms, the hotel is nice. Still some things are not right: you have to pay for a bathrobe (in a hotel rated with 4****!); you have to pay 3,20 euro for 1 liter of water (!) and above all, one of the staff member (who served in the restaurant), insulted us! She was very upset with us becouse we dared to clean our table (they didn't come to our table to take away the dirty dishes), and we put the dirty plates on a table near us, a table never used during our period there. When we complain about the delay in cleaning the table she said, in our face, "blah, blah, blah". After that she continued to say something in german (we kindly asked her to speak in english), something that, at that time, I thought it was dirty words. Will leave this place tomorrow, sad and disappointed. We had a powerful feeling that all of these happened because we are from east europe (Romania)...

HOTEL OF THE OLD SCHOOL
Authentic hotel with a cozy atmosphere - well run family business, very dedicated staff
Good value for money
The menu / half board- impeccable, especially the strudels as dessert are worth a visit!

The Schöppl couple takes great care of the individual concerns of the guests and also lends a hand in the service itself, if necessary...

Sauna area very nice- especially the extra sauna house outside

Pool could be larger, as even the adjacent campers are allowed to use the pool, sometimes too crowded/loud on heat days

-otherwise really everything perfect
Hotel like in the good old summer fresh time!!👌👍🥂💐

Good location to see the falls but little more. Old-fashioned rooms, at least the one we slept in not at 4-star level. Good food but.very little choice especially at dinner. Embarrassing staff.... waiter for breakfast in tank top ......
Cleanliness of the room that leaves something to be desired. Luckily we stayed there just two days to see the falls

I needed a room in Gerlos, as I was joining Friends from abroad there to ski for a weekend. I could not find anything in Gerlos, it was school holidays in Holland, Germany and France. I found this hotel, took a room, hoping it was ok, about 20 min from Gerlos. Well it turned out good : road was Ok, though up and down the hill, no issues with snow, though it was cold. The hotel was family style, but no issue for a solo traveller. I had a nice room, not a single as booked but a nice double room with a balcony. A very good breakfast and very friendly staff. They have a Sauna and inside and outside pool, I dsid niot use and a spa. It was really a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every day. The rooms are not only clean and comfortable, but also stylishly furnished.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and there are various options to choose from.
We liked the saunas and the pool the most.
The ski bus stop and the ski rental (Intersport) are right outside the door.
We would love to come back!

I visited this hotel restaurant in Krimml with my friends and family from the UK twice on the 02nd Aug 2019. In general the Hotel, restaurant and food was good. Service was nice however as soon as I realised that the Hotel charged us a stunning EUR 3,20 for 1 ltliter tap water, everything changed. I'm a big believer that my kids should drink healthy tap water rather than bottled (plastic) water or any sugar drinks especially when you visit a region in Austria where everything is about fresh air, healthy living and exercise. I do understand that the hotel has costs serving even tap water but charging Our 3,20 for 1liter is absolutions not ok and I felt ashamed to be Austrian when I visited this place. We consumed in total Euro 128 and euro 12.80 was just for the tap water. Joke and next time I take sandwiches. My friends from the Uk were really surprised and outraged. When we asked and confronted the waiter, he just smiled and said that we should talk to the manager who was responsible for this. Unfortunately the manager wasn't present.
PLEASE BE AWARE!
