A lovely family run hotel. The evening meal is good and plentiful with several choices. The staff are all friendly and the rooms clean and tidy. Live music once a week is provided by 2 brothers and it's all local mountain music (really enjoyable). This is my 4th new year trip but I make several thought the ski season as it's ideal to the slopes.

Lovely Tirolean style hotel with exceptional food. The Tomahawk steak for 2 is divine. Cooked to your liking, recommend medium. Great choice of desserts including sundaes and traditional Austrian pancakes. Reasonably priced, try to prebook, especially for the tomahawk steak.

Despite being the last guest in the hotel (eerie experience) the service couldn't have been better! George, Peter, Brigitte and Natasha made me so welcome. Thank you. This was an impromptu last minute solo ski trip that ended up better than many of the minutely planned ones in the past. Will definitely be back - particularly for the fabulous food! The hotel is basic traditional Tyrolean - but spotless and comfortable - nice views of the mountains, short walk to ski-bus and to the Kaiserquell wellness centre, and well positioned for the Steinplatte, St Johann and Fieberbrunn slopes. Good facilities for families, with kiddies playroom and crazy golf. Small sauna if you don't want to walk to the Kaiserquell. Breakfast was usual rolls, cheese, ham etc and choice of eggs - coffee was delicious. Dinners were consistently sublime - one of the best Surf & Turfs i've had outside California!

Discovered this hotel after travelling around Austria with a group. One of the most pleasant stays I've had while being within Europe. Pros: - Beds are VERY comfortable. Soft, fluffy, inviting and spacious. (For some people the bed may be too 'low' to the ground - for us however it wasn't an issue). - Decor is beautiful and very stylish. It suits the whole theme of the hotel, and is very homely and lovely to be around. - Bathroom has been modernised a bit and is very nice. They provide amenities and have a good hair dryer. Also very clean and you can tell the room has been looked after. - Staff are very friendly and helpful. No request is too big and you're always greeted with a smile. - Breakfest that the hotel makes available is delicious and has a range of options. They have vegetarian options in addition to meat options in the morning which was amazing and very welcoming to see. - Grounds around the hotel are well maintained and very beautiful. They even have kids play equipment and a mini golf course right near the hotel. - Close to the town and shops. Cons: - Only minor and some people may not find this as a problem. But the room did smell a bit like butter for some reason. Would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant stay in Austria.

Nice big rooms, inexpensive, GREAT Food, Great Breakfast, dog friendly and most of all a wonderful staff. Manuela at Breakfast made everything happen. The staff was flexible and friendly. The food every night was fantastic. I would compare it to a 5 star hotel but without the fussiness. It is a short drive if you choose (bus comes by to pick you up) to Waidring etc. The only issue was it is sort of expensive as they charge you by the dog you bring but they are friendly towards the dogs. Overall a wonderful place to stay with great views and a great unpretentious atmosphere.
