Have been here many times due to its location. Great for beginners and the ability to ski right back to the hotel doors from the slopes. It's right next to the free ski bus stop too saving your energy for skiing and not carrying gear. The bus provides plenty of opportunity to explore the significantly bigger ski areas which host... When I went to Austria this year I had a really good time there, but sadly there has been various things that have scared me when I was there, example when a fake World War II alarm went off when I was on the chairlift and when alarms keep going off in the hotel, no-one speaks English so they can't... Hotel Alphof is an excellent centrally located hotel for ski trips in the Kitzbuehel area, for skiers of any skill level. For two years now (Jan. 2015 and Jan. 2016), we've rented a car in Salzburg and driven to Tom and Monika's friendly hotel -- feels like home, kid friendly, but not just for people with kids. Good food, plentiful... More

Ski slopes just in front, ski & snowboard rental shop in the back, warm and efficient service & staff, cleanliness, very tasty dishes including kids meals, ski/snowboarding school & crèche on site, and a supermarket just across the road, etc., everything is great and perfect for us who are with young kids including beginners of winter sports. We were very... More

Great place as a base for first-time skiers, being the closest site to both lifts and easily walking distance (even in ski boots). Beware that Kirchdorf will probably not hold the interest of experienced winter sports travellers, as there is only a nursery slope with a conveyer, rope-tow and t-bar, and one chair lift. As an indication my wife and... More

This is a great hotel. Nice accommodations, very friendly serving staff and good food. If it only had a better server for the internet, it would be perfect. Unfortunately, most of us cannot escape the world completely during our holidays and internet is vital to maintain that connection. We informed the front desk several times of our inability to connect,... More

Great location and ski school absolutely spot on, we had the delightful Edit. We Returned with crystal holidays but dissapointed by the bedrooms which were in need of an update. The bar adjacent to reception permitted indoor cigarrettte smoking and the smoke wafted from the bar up to the bedrooms and into the dining room. There were large coach parties... More

Our second visit in 2 years. It was great to see familiar people. Peter, one of the waiting staff remembered us from our first visit. The hotel had changed very little from 2012. The main differences were that the waited service had gone and replaced by a buffet style for the evening meal. Whilst this may appeal to some, it... More

Lovely hotel. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It's in a good location and perfect for the ski bus and ski school. Would definitely go back. Thanks for a great week!

Just returned from a brilliant week away at Hotel Alphof, with our two sons aged 10 and 13. The hotel was wonderful; such warm, friendly staff - a real home-from-home. The slopes were ideal for first time skiers - with a great red run too - and the tuition was fabulous and lots of fun. Would strongly recommend Geoff (adult... More
