Once again, a fantastic moment, even if rain caused some troubles during our stay. The food is on top every day in every restaurant. The beach needs to be refurbished and reduced each time, but it is still enjoyable to be on this bay.
We had a fantastic stay. Our room was gorgeous with its own pool and view of the beach/sea. The restaurant options were extensive which is good as you are slightly stuck in the resort. The GEMS were brilliant at organising activities on our behalf. Thank you all for a wonderful, relaxing trip.
We have loved the six senses, the food is delicious, accomodation stunning and people super friendly and helpful! The hidden gem of this place is the diving! Spectacular wildlife and jaw dropping caves! Dive staff Julia and Andreas run a tight ship and are knowledgeable, honest and great fun!
We have been here for the first time and stayed a full week. Summary: 1) The approach road itself is already quite a stunner, across a steep mountain ridge and down again into the bay. The bungalow itself is nice, yet today you´ll find many resorts with facilities as they are here. Few observations though: a) the aircons are a bit older and quite noisy as they have to cool the entire space, means bedroom and living room. b) The toilet "space" is a bit cramped. The best about the bungalows is the outer area: a table (ready for breakfast or dinner), two lounge chairs, and of course the small pool. Water was perfectly clear, temperatur just ideal. No complaints. Two bicyes could be used by the residents whenever needed / wanted. 2) Beach: fine sand. About 150 m from shore a floating barrier prevents garbage to flow in, that also reduces the waves. Nothing for snorkeling though, as there is simply nothing to see except sand. 3) activities: had one flight with a macrolight and one with a paraglider. Both fascinating, instructor was great. Fishing: yes, went fishing with a speedboat about half an hour north and caught three dinner-sized fish. Brought them back and chef sunil prepared them for same day dinner at one of the restaurants. Great!! We did not do the snorkeling trip (also by boat). 4) Spa: still understaffed right now after re-opening. Great spa though, was there twice and enjoyed the treatments. 5) Food: amazing what they offer for such a remote location. We know that some of their raw materials come from their own farm at dibba (we have been there and were toured around); still, it is impressive what choice they offer for breakfast or dinner. BEST PART: by far the best part were the people working here. EACH and everyone of them was friendly, tried to read our minds and really worked hard to make our stay special. Special thanks to those that made our "special dinner" on the beach, to the bulgarian flight instructor, to our friend who has shown us Dibba, to the ladies at Zighy Bar and to our GEM Julius. All of them created a special atmosphere - easy and relaxed, always ready for a chat and yet taking care of us every moment. So, 7 out of 5 stars for the staff, 6 for the food.…
Our 3rd stay here and it was as good as ever having just reopened. We went mid week and it was beautiful. Great to see some familiar faces that returned to work also!! Will continue to come back and enjoy this amazing resort
