The Dominican Treehouse Village is the most amazing experience. You truly get to disconnect and be present. It’s beautiful accommodations and delicious meals and drinks. The staff is incredible - Alex, Stanley, Freddie, Angel, Leo - treat you like family. Definitely take advantage of the excursions!
This place is so magical. The staff is filled with great individuals who made our stay so much fun! This is by far the coolest and most beautiful place i have ever been to! Thank you so much for an amazing trip and stay! I will definitely be coming back!
I just had the most wonderful stay at The Treetop Resort. Everything about this place is magical. You feel like you are being swept away to another place and time. The rooms are very comfortable. No not worry about bugs...the only critter I saw was Mocha the resident Chow Doggo who lazes about the place like he owns it. I'm sure he does.... The best thing about this place is the staff. They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I felt like I came in super welcomed left with new friends. I have to shout out my favorite guys here. Stanley and Alex and 2 of the coolest people who could ever meet and they really give this place their heart and soul and it shows. Some many other great people here as well. Please do yourself a favor and book this place! I feel renewed and rejuvenated. Thank you Treetop! <3…
Pros- We met many different people from all over the world, Great experience. El Limon waterfall is beautiful. I recommend going. Some of the volunteers that worked were friendly. Stanley made our trip better; we felt safe with him. Cons-the roads are unsafe. Getting there is extremely dangerous if you do not live in the area and know the route. Also, there are no street lights on the road. It's pitch black There is no hot water or wifi. There are no police around if you get hurt. The first time we went to El Valle beach, we gave CPR to someone who drowned in the water because the locals and the so-called police at the beach would not react fast enough. El Valle beach is beautiful but extremely dangerous the waves are aggressive. The manager was not friendly when we came in. He gave us an attitude the whole time. They charged us for a Taxi when we had already paid the taxi drivers. It gets cold at night, and they give you thin blankets. They give you one towel a day which is not enough, especially if you are going to the beach and need to shower. If you leave the resort and go to the city of Samana, the locals will try to charge you an arm and a leg for basic things like towels and flip flops. Know the currency. The treehouse has a weird vibe at night. Know the history before you go because you will feel it if you are intuitive with energies and spirits. You are on land that slaughters 480,000 Taino Indians, and they're still there in mood and energy. Be careful. This trip was not relaxing at all very stressful. Also, their bikes are ancient and broken.…
It was a great stay in very exotic surroundings. Defenitely recommend it as an experience! Unfornutaly, we had to leave earlier than planned, and they do not accept cancellations. However, the administration offered us a Gift Voucher for two nights to use the next time (worth 600$). We are not going to the Dominican Republic any time soon. Therefore if someone is interested, we can resell it for a reduced price.
I have traveled the world and stayed at a lot of incredible hotels, but this experience lands in my top 3 Favorite places to ever stay! I've left a piece of my heart at the Dominican Treehouse Village & am already trying to figure out when I can go back! I was so nervous about this vacation because it was my first time traveling outside of the country with my child as a single Mom. Little did I know I was going to be walking into what felt like a village of Family that made us feel so Loved & not as if we were traveling solo! Kruz has not stopped talking about Stanley & Alex!! Trying to figure out how to borrow your staff for his Birthday party in September! haha No, but really, their service was above and beyond! Gems of the Jungle! As for the actual Treehouses, An experience we'll never forget! Falling asleep to the sound of nature in open air rooms was my absolute favorite part next to waking up with he sun and making my way over to the main treehouse for coffee & Goodmornings from a smiling staff! Again, The staff. I swear, they are the best I've ever encountered! The night time activities were also incredible. Where else are you going to find yourself playing a game of Uno with a group from 3 different countries? The way your staff brings all guests together under that one roof at night is amazing! I feel like we formed relationships this week that will carry through the years! I wouldn't have ever gotten to know others the way I did at another resort. The food was not your average all inclusive, but I loved the authenticity!! Trying a new soup everynight was my favorite & Kruz & I wish we were still eating chocolate covered bananas!! This is not a vacation for everyone. But it's definitely a vacation for the adventurers at heart! I felt like a kid again everyday! It was the perfect escape from my reality as an ICU Covid Nurse the last two years! The DISCONNECT from the news, social media, tv and real life to the Peaceful RECONNECT with God, mother nature & Family was every.single.thing. my heart needed!…
I recently stayed at Dominican Tree House Village for a week in the beginning of April! Everything about this place is absolutely breathtaking, from the views, to the atmosphere and down to each of the staff members! Stanley (one of the managers) is a terrific person! He was extremely helpful and able to communicate in multiple languages. By the end of my stay there he had become one of my friends. JJ is also an absolute blast and extremely helpful. There is so much to do and see just in the treehouse village! Breakfast is served on time every morning and the staff caters to any need. The whole place has a very welcoming vibe and they make you feel like you belong there! Everyone is super helpful. The whole time I was there I wasn’t worried about anything going on back home. The treehouses are cleaned daily with care and appreciation! There are just places where you can sit down or lay back and just fall asleep. I highly recommend coming here for your stay if it’s your first time visiting the DR or if you’ve been multiple times! Absolutely amazing place to be. It’s like someone tore a page out of a book and made it a real thing!…
Our group of 6 had a great time at DTHV (3 adults, 3 kids ages 13, 11, and 9). Completely unique experience. Falling asleep in the open air breeze and listening to the nighttime sounds of the forest was wonderful. The staff is super friendly and very chill. Always willing to help answer questions and navigate the local experiences. The kids enjoyed the pool, the local beach, the ziplining, and playing games at the main lodge. The food was a good mix of local and standard options and everyone ate and drank happily and well. Highly recommended for a family looking for a special Dominican Republic experience off the beaten path.
The Treehouse Village was such a wonderful experience for me and my two sons. We had a blast in the beautiful jungle treehouses and hanging out in the common area playing games, dancing, chilling on hammocks. The food was lovely and the staff were so engaging. Particularly Stanley and Yensi who entertained and laughed and played with my two sons nearly every night. They made the stay so memorable for each of us. This place is laid back, full of charm and adventure and I would definitely recommend.
Amazing!! I was traveling solo and I spent 2 nights tgere. Stayed in a coffee tree house. I had excellent time ftom rom the minute I parked my car to my departure. Friendly helpful (and FUN) staff. I made friends while dining/breakfast with the other customers. I also enjoyed time a lone as well (multiple hide spots). The bike ride to the beach was fun. Samana downtown was not far when driving (I had to use the ATM). I managed to see the waterfalls (so beautiful). And see the plantation (cocoa, coconut, Cinammon, vanilla, papaya, and of course coffee). The staff who work are the nicest really. Highly recommended.
