This place was a disappointment. The only place in the DR where we had airconditioning, but definitely not worth the money. Unfriendly receptionist. Aircon had to be manually turned on and was turned off again at 07:00 in the morning (checkout is at 11:00), at 08:00 already got really warm, so we felt we needed to get out of bed....

This hotel is really close to the city center of Samana and within walking distance of several bars and restaurants, the room itself was pretty small but enough space for 2 people plus bags without feeling cramped the bathroom was sufficient and I've seen several reviews about there not being hot water, there is hot water but you have to...

The Docia hotel has a great location. We just wanted the space to sleep so bed was comfy, a/c in the evenings (which we didn't really use due to the good temperature in the room). The Water temperature was not really regulable, but warm enough to refresh after a busy day exploring el limón or cayo levantao. Pavo o Guillermo...

The hostel was ok and near the village Center. But you just have cold Water there and the laundry Service is "abzocke". You pay for every Single Clothes you give them and get it back still Wet. Thank you for that. And by the way the Trips you can get much cheaper aswell. Only the Boss of the hostel speaks...

The location is great to explore Samana but the hotel itself was very noisy as in our rooms bathroom was basically a window to the hallway without glass. There was no warm water whatsoever during our stay (this was not really a problem for us as it was pretty hot outside anyway) and that might be caused by the dodgy...

The hostel was clean and well priced. We stayed in a double room for a couple of nights and found it comfy and secure + having a private shower & toilet was a spot of luxury! The location was fantastic for exploring Samana and the owner was helpful and friendly. The only thing this hostel seemed to be missing was...

Not recommended. The rooms were dark and dinghy, there was no hot or even warm water, and there was no A/C. The staff did not mention that we had to leave our keys in order to get maid service, and there were ants all over the place in our room. Weak WiFi, and only available in the reception office. No...

This hotel had a great location, only a minute walk from the small centre of samaná. The owner, Guillermo, was Spanish so he was great for asking about tourist tips since he had only moved there four years ago. He was super helpful giving us great suggestions for what to do there. The rooms were okay, it was what you...

Well, anyone checking in here should realize this is a hostel with all the basics you need and not a 5star resort with tons of extras. So don't expect much. I was very pleased with my stay as I had everything I needed. A place to sleep and a bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever i had...

it is a truly backpacker hotel, with just what you need. But their asset is their attention to you, orientation, guides, support, advises and tours. They will for real make sure you enjoy your time in Samana.
