My wife and I came for dinner. The restaurant itself looks great and has a great view of the Malecon. They have food really good Chinese and Dominican food! The egg rolls are also some of the best I've ever had! We ate and drank for a very reasonable price! You can pay in pesos, euros, or dollars.

This is a review for the Hotel only. I didn't stay for the restaurant. We stayed at this hotel for a night before driving to Santo Domingo. There is little choice at Santa Barbara de Samana for decent hotels (exept the Resort) and this was one we decided to stay as this hotel has also a car parking. Standard rooms...

Restaurant Chino is delicious! I visit here every time I come to Samana, which is every 2-3 months. The restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating and the view can NOT be beat! The employees are friendly and the owner and his family are always on-site talking with the customers. I can't say enough great things about this...

This is a review of the restaurant itself and not the hotel. As a restaurant it is not very good at all. We sat outside which provided a nice view, unfortunately they did not stop the construction they were doing so we could enjoy our meal, so it was a bit of a headache. The original inhabitants of Samana must...

Located on a hill overlooking the bay of Samana this is a basic family run hotel.Offers wifi adequate restaurant and great outdoor balcony to enjoy the views. Great staging point to enjoy Samana and the off shore island beaches or just relax.

I've been here back in 2008 in my visit to samana. There wasn't many rooms and the rooms were kind of lacking in satisfaction. I didn't know if it felt like I was staying at a hotel. I came back to samana in 2014 and saw that they changed the place completely. Recent reviews were excellent compared to those before...

El Chino makes sure you are satisfied while you stay with them. He constantly checks if everything is fine. Issues are solved promptly. My room had a good view of the bay. The bathroom was a little old fashion with a broken fossid. Price was ok. Breakfast was decent: boiled eggs, charckers, juice.

Easy to find, cause of its huge sign, Restaurant Chino is up in a hill with great view overt the little islands in front of Samana and its bridges. Price is correct, food is good, but not refined, and portions are huge, we order a plate per person and ended having enough to feed the restaurant, lol.

Beautiful view of Samana city bay on top of the hill. good parking and relaxed environment. Eggrolls and mixed chofan are large size and great flavor. Fish croquettes are tasty and fresh and sweet and sour pork. coconut sweet paste is a must have. Prices are very good.

“From January to May the mass of tourists in the city is immense due to the whales' season, so if you are planning on going to Samana and want to stay in this hotel, contact the administration prior to your arrival because by this time of the year the hotel has only a few rooms available. That's what one of the staff members told me when I was leaving the last day.”
