This was an average place but I guess for USD25, one can't complain too much. The room we were shown smelled of smoke (as do lots of rooms in Laos) but after leaving the door open for a while it got better. Yes, we did ask for a different room, but suffice it to say things weren't any better. We'd... More

I stayed at the Phonepaseud Hotel for one night on a business trip based on a colleagues recommendation. It was about as expected - mediocre with a few redeeming qualities. I probably will look for somewhere else closer to the center of town during my next visit however. Good: *Wi-fi is quick and works *close to the airport *Fairly cheap... More

We spent only one night there in transit in savannakhet. It does the job to sleep but definitely too expansive for the service. 30 dollars for room with AC and TV but decoration like a grand mother house! Located quite far from city center. Breakfast ok. Staff quite cold.

I, my wife, her mother and her brother with girlfriend stayed for one night at the Phonepaseud Hotel in Savannakhet, Laos in April 2013 and were confused by the stay to say the least. Why the confusion? 1. The rooms / bungalows we stayed in were furnished with really expensive solid wood furniture and wall panels. But then they had... More

We stayed in a "standard" room where the ceiling came down in parts and the bathroom tiles fell off the wall. The room was fairly large and so was the bathroom, but the interior was a bit outdated. The fridge made more noise than the air condition. However, the biggest problem was a rat which was working her way across... More

This is more of a motel style arrangement than a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, but attention to detail (e.g. cleanliness, etc.) was lacking. Room was comfortable with A/C, fridge, TV and a huge bathroom.

We chose this hotel from a list provided by conference organisers. Reading previous reviews were expected better than we got! Its a sprawling group of rooms of various sizes in a number of groups. Rooms, all air conditioned, are classified as standard, VIP, and one of higher status. The prices listed ranged from about $US 25 to $100 per night.... More

I liked the way the terraced chalets were laid out around a central area and the room itself was pleasant enough with a massive bathroom and a bath as well as a shower...I stayed in a VIP room and do not know what the standard rooms were like. Breakfast was eggs and bread but the staff found it difficult to... More

I arrived really early in the morning to this place, and got so lucky that the manager was returning from an all-nighter at the casion at the same time. I was allowed to check in even though it was only 5 AM. Got a VIP room (No 5) for 110.000 Kip/night, which apparently was the "Lao price" and didn´t include... More
