Yes, "adequate" sums The Lodge up in my view. Booked in at the last minute (10pm night before) and got a room OK. The place has a vague similarity to a Motel in that the rooms are in the form of terraced cabins. The Pros: Clean room, pleasant chatty staff, nice breakfast, comfy bed.Pleasant outside sitting areas and a comfortable... More

We went through Groupon and paid less than the full price. So I feel for what we paid it was enough. I wouldn't like to pay full price though. Its in a great location, bang in the middle of betsi-y-coed and Conwy. A great place to go road biking or even mountain biking. My husband went in gwndyr Forrest and... More

I think that, on balance, this place has more negatives than positives, especially as the price we paid was discounted through Secret Escapes. If we'd paid the normal price we would have felt a bit let down. Okay so positives: - friendly/ welcoming staff - clean, spacious room - easy to park - lovely location Negatives - no Wi-fi -... The owner assured us that although his restaurant was not open, due to the chef of some years leaving, that there were two pubs within walking distance offering food. This was a pre-requisite of our booking to ensure we could both drink with our evening dinner. The first pub is closed on Mondays and the second pub, The Bull, a... More

Thank you for your comments and I fully understand your frustration, however may I point out that when your wife telephoned to make a reservation with myself, I did indeed confirm that at present, we were not able to serve food on an evening, and I did indeed give her names of the two local pubs within walking distance, and... We stayed here during the last May bank holiday weekend. Good facilities with decent breakfast options. Wifi is only available in the reception/breakfast area, and it closes in the evening. This is recommended for anyone looking for a hotel in North Wales, ideally situated to see all major attractions.

I attended in a family group requiring five rooms and on arrival found the location and setting of the hotel good. There are plenty of tourist attractions in the area. It was clean and tidy although in places requiring a little care and attention. The rooms we had reminded of us of an American motel, in a row outside the... More

As booking-in wasn't until 4 pm and we were travelling from Kent we decided to explore some of the area before checking in making the most of the time that we had. Although reception was closed when we arrived at about 7.30 there was a note telling us where to collect the key from so no problem there. The restaurant... More

We booked a weekend groupon deal, we had a really good time, we were met by Neal the owner who showed us to our room. It was clean and very comfortable, a huge queensize bed which were zip linked but very comfortable, shower wasn't the best but all in all a nice room. We had a meal in the restaurant... More

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the atmosphere of the surrounding town was wonderful. It is just outside of Conwy, giving a wonderful view of the countryside. I would definitely return.
