We love coming to Lampenhäusl for our skiing holidays - for the 5th time now: a great family-run hotel! The hospitality and service of the whole team are top-notch, the half-board is delicious and varied (including gluten-free dishes), the rooms and sauna are very clean and inviting and it's not far to the ski area. Thank you for the great time with you! We're already looking forward to seeing you again next winter!

Great hotel. It was very nice stay. Very clean and tidy rooms. Beds are comfortable. Hosts are nice and helpful. Really good food. Slopes are about 15 minutes away. Skibus stop next to the hotel. Big parking. We never had a problem finding the spot. We Will come back for sure.

Not exciting 😊
In the soup pot for 7.80 there were more frankfurters than beef. Tyrolean Gröstl tasted good, but 3/4 of it was potatoes. Cordon Bleu tasted good. They charge €4.90 for 2 cl Remy Martini. A small salad from the buffet costs €5.60 🫢

Lampenhausl is a medium sized, lovely hotel located in Fusch, close to Kaprun and Zell am See slopes. The staff is super friendly and accomodating, rooms - simply furnished but cosy. Food is great and given a generous breakfast & skiers snack & 4-course dinner, no one will ever leave this place hungry. Adding 3 saunas to choose from; a ski locker and a ski bus which leaves just 20-30 metres from hotel entrance - this all makes this hotel a superb and surprisingly cheap place to stay in the region. Highly recommended!

Dear Reader, this hotel is terrible. Not only is the food rubbish the actual hosbitality of the staff can only be discribed as lackful in all aspects. To be honest I would never of stayed there if I can a chose but I didnt as it was a ski trip. Please just avoid this hotel, you barely have any room to but your bags and fit things into the wardrobes and the bathrooms......well I wouldnt even call it a bathroom it was that small is total rubbish. Please I beg you never visit this hotel as I wouldnt. I only stayed in the hotel last year (2011) and the only thing good about the hotel was the intewrnet as that was the only part of the hotel which kept me sane.
Thank you for reading this and I hope this gave you some adivse.

We were sitting at the outside garden area and ordered 4 bacon cheese burgers on 7/13/18 around 17:00.
Got the burgers 20 min. later with the 4 hamburger buns being burned on the bottom charcoal black. Never saw anything burned that black being served.
Complained to the server who brought the burned buns to the kitchen.
I expectated an apology and the order being one more time done right.
Instead of that we got 4 new hamburger buns but on the table without any apologies and had to change the buns ourselves. Needles to say that all the food got cold in the meantime.
Out of this reason I can not recommend the food or service at this hotel.

First of all, I am writing a review of the camping place which is located just beside the hotel and has the same owner.
Secondly, tha camping place was great. All you can expect from a camp and a bit more. I was positively suprised by the free wi-fi and the free-internet computers in the lobby of the hotel. During my cycling tour around Austria I became acustomed to paying extra 1 € for hot water in the shower and was again very happy to discover that hot water is included in the price. The pitching place for the tent is superb: green short grass, very good drainage (we had a major storm that day) and all the facilities that a camper needs.
And now for the best part. I traveled with a friend and we only paid 14 € for the two of us and the tent. I still can't believe it since it's a great starting point for mountaineers, cyclists who want to cross the Grossglockner pass (like we did) or nature enthusiasts and most of the camps that I've stayed at during my Austrian trip were 5-10 € more expensive.
You really get the best for the money you pay here. Would warmly advise to fellow backpackers with tents.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it doesn't disappoint.
The family and staff are friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean, light and airy with modern bathrooms.
We like it so much we are returning at Christmas.

We have been coming here, most years, for the past decade. We stay half-board whilst skiing. It is a family run business and we feel part of their family whenever we go. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Service is excellent. Evening entertainment during the high season is a hoot! The food is very Austrian. The owners and key staff speak good English. There is a sauna but get in early if you are shy of seeing the Austrians and Dutch naked! Ski hire is available on-site. There is Wi-fi and there are 2 PCs for general internet use in the foyer. They are very children-friendly, as is Austria as a rule. You won't be disappointed!
