The hotel is very decent, me and my mum had a good time. Only one thing was bothering us during our stay and that was a soft mattress, which woke up the other person when one was turning around. The food is good, especially dinners. The breakfast was decent but we expected a little more. Sightseeing and hiking around the hotel is nice and close to the hotel is a swimming pool for only 5€ per day.

This is a basic hotel fine if you want a no frills stopover for a night. The room was spacious and although described as 'modern', was the least modern of our five week European trip. The balcony overlooking the river was nice. There is a problem with parking as there are not enough spaces for guests, which some other reviewers mentioned. We had to walk the street through a storm when returning in the evening as there were no car parks available. Afternoon tea is provided but no hot water for tea drinkers, only coffee. The meals were not to our taste, but that is a personal preference.

Stayed at the Lukasmayr in Bruck just outside of Zell am See a lovely village well worth a walk around also lots of walks started just outside our hotel which was very handy.
it was a nice hotel maybe a bit tired but clean and the staff where friendly. Sandra the Dinning Room manager speaks very good english and will help with any problems you may have. The Mayrs themselves are also bright and cheery they also speak good english. The food was fine, breakfast was always excellent lots of choice and lovely fresh rolls and plenty of coffee as it was buffet you could chose your favourites.
We had a packed luch every day which was very handy.
Evening 3 course meal was Okay there was always a choice of the main course and there was a salad bar so you could't go hungry.
The rooms where a bit tired but lovely and clean, they were cleaned every day by happy staff, not so good at english but that was half the fun! We went with Inghams and found them and our rep Chris to be top notch, very helpful and promt in getting back to you could't have asked for better service will use Inghams again.
All the trips got a 10 out of 10 from us well worth the money.
It was a very good holiday.

I spent there New Year's Eve 2020. In fact, we didn't spend because our hosts didn't prepare anything. So we slept and left on 01.01 for skiing.

Our room was small and without a balcony. Pretty warm, but the furniture a little tired. At the meal, plus half board, I had 1 drink. The adults took 1 / 2l of beer and the children brought 1 / 5l of water (from the tap). If we asked for water for them, we were told that we should pay, and the next day, when we came with our water for children, we were sent to drink it in the toilet.

You cannot pay anything with the card, only cash. One morning, at 9.00, when I wanted to get the guest card needed for the discounts on the slopes, there was no one at the front desk, just a ticket announcing that it will return at 3 pm

Small problem with the room, but resolved excellently. Very nice staff in both the restaurant and reception. Everything was really super clean. Yes, there are not yet renovated rooms, but these are also really great! We will definitely come back.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a 2 week holiday in August. Staff are excellent. Friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I asked them if they could make a special breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for my wife's birthday. No problem. They even set up a special table and all for a very small extra charge.
Room was large and typically Austrian in decor. Large balcony overlooking the river. Rooms clean and had satellite tv.
Free packed lunch every day if you want it. Food plain but nicely cooked. Vegetarian option available.
We booked with Inghams. Excellent value and Chris the rep is first rate. Knowledgeable and very efficient and approachable.
Would definitely go back. Great walks starting right outside the hotel. One hour walk to Zell and its attractions. Similar hotels in Zell were up to £400 more expensive per person for a 2 week stay. It was much nicer to walk into Zell or take the 5 minute train journey for 2 euros. Bruck has a train station with an efficient service to Innsbruck and Saltzburg. One 28 euro ticket allows up to 5 adults to travel to and from all major cities!

We stayed at this hotel twice - once in 2010 and then again last year. We did not know what to expect so it was all new to us as new travellers abroad. The hotel is very old fashioned - dark wood so light was quite low throughout the hotel but we never felt this a problem. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the lady of the house who we were relieved to say spoke very good English and we had a front facing room, not very spacious but adequate. The meals we found were of a buffet style but personally we prefer that and the food was excellent. The staff were always very helpful and polite and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The second trip we did pay a little extra to get a room with a balcony over the river which was lovely ansd would retrurn again at a later date. For the amount we paid with an all-in price we were very happy. Transport links to
Zell and to Werfen Castle were excellent consisting of the local buses and trains We loved it!!

The Lukasmayr in Bruck (5km from Zell am See) is a lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. We had a balcony room with river views which was really good, we spent most evenings sitting on the balcony looking at the view and watching the sun set! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good - a large selection of hams, chese, fruit, cereals, bread and cake. I highly recommend the cake!! We stayed on a full board basis, getting a picnic to take out with us, which we found very useful for when we went on our mini adventures out each day, and dinner was very good. Despite there only being a choice for the main course, the food was always very good, so this was no issue with us. It was good typical Austrian fare, consisting of a soup, a meat dish and a pudding.
