The people running the hotel were fantastic and accommodating. We spent two nights there and really appreciated its location, charm and family friendly orientation. Fabulous terrasse to enjoy a small town feel day and evening. Would certainly return.
I spent there New Year's Eve 2020. In fact, we didn't spend because our hosts didn't prepare anything. So we slept and left on 01.01 for skiing. Our room was small and without a balcony. Pretty warm, but the furniture a little tired. At the meal, plus half board, I had 1 drink. The adults took 1 / 2l of beer and the children brought 1 / 5l of water (from the tap). If we asked for water for them, we were told that we should pay, and the next day, when we came with our water for children, we were sent to drink it in the toilet. You cannot pay anything with the card, only cash. One morning, at 9.00, when I wanted to get the guest card needed for the discounts on the slopes, there was no one at the front desk, just a ticket announcing that it will return at 3 pm
We visited this area of Austria last year and this is one of the places we were determined to return to - we weren’t disappointed. The restaurant is wonderful and once again, i would say that the staff are the heart of the experience. They are immensely warm and helpful and the food is absolutely lovely. They understand their menu and help you negotiate it if German isn’t your first language. We went twice during our stay in Bruck and fully intend to again. A warm Austrian welcome make this place well worth a visit.
We've stayed in January 2018 there and it was ok for what we paid. The rooms were old and need a refurbished but in the rest the hotel gave us what it promised. The hotel is next to the ski bus station, so it was perfect for us who came there for ski. The food was ok, the service was also ok. The hotel has also a small spa area, which is perfect after a day on the sloops.
While in Bruck, I lost my wallet with credit cards, drivers license, etc. The people at the hotel were very helpful in making some phone calls that were instrumental in my recovering the wallet. Also, the accommodations were good and the hotel had a very nice breakfast buffet.
We have been in Lukasmayr hotel just for 4 days unfortunatelly, we wish more ! and I have to say that was fantastic! one of the best acomodation ever! Nothing to complain about, you feel like home! Very clean room, plenty of choices at the buffet and delicious food, the fireplace is just fantastic, quite and calm atmosfere, the stuff will do everything to help you, very good value for the money. Children agree as well, two teenage and a 7 years old girl want to go back as soon is possible! PS greethings to the kitchen stuff !!! The food was amasing!
We stayed at this hotel twice - once in 2010 and then again last year. We did not know what to expect so it was all new to us as new travellers abroad. The hotel is very old fashioned - dark wood so light was quite low throughout the hotel but we never felt this a problem. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the lady of the house who we were relieved to say spoke very good English and we had a front facing room, not very spacious but adequate. The meals we found were of a buffet style but personally we prefer that and the food was excellent. The staff were always very helpful and polite and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The second trip we did pay a little extra to get a room with a balcony over the river which was lovely ansd would retrurn again at a later date. For the amount we paid with an all-in price we were very happy. Transport links to Zell and to Werfen Castle were excellent consisting of the local buses and trains We loved it!!…
we stayed at this hotel for a week the food is good but the bedroom is very tatey badly needs up dating there is not any hair dryers in the rooms or dressing table or dressing mirrors ,bruck is nothing special we went to kaprun and thought it was lovely there is cable car and waterfall a much nicer place.there was a bike race from bruck to grossglokner while we were there, and the hotel spent more time looking after the locals than they did us,i think Inghams have made a mistake with this hotel!!!!
We just came from a hotel whtich was modern and new. So the first impression was not so good. The hotel is a little bit oldfashioned and needs some updating. When you enter the room it is very dark, as they used 30 years ago very dark wood. But you are in Austria so you expect wood. We had a room, which we did not pay extra for, which looked at the river side on the 3rd floor. Saterday when we arrived the very old and very small elevator did not work, which apparently happens every saturday. Downstairs there is a room with a fireplace, but it is so dark there, that we did not use it. But still I am very positive about this hotel. When you enter the dining room, it is light and looks very nice. Yes dinner and breakfast is in buffetstyle. The first saturday there was a very long cue, but after that it was ok. The food is simple, but very tastefull. A good saladbar. Also the breakfast is very good. Everyday you got different kinds of ham, cheese, jams, yoghurt, eggs and fruit. And the more inclusive formule is great. Between 4-5 you got always a kind of cake and something hot. When you want to go skiing in Zell am See, the nearest skilift is Areithbahn in Schuttdorf, by car 5 minutes drive. Some people said that this is not busy. That might be,but not during our holiday when almost everybody in holland went to this place. It took us sometimes between 1/2 -1 hour to reach the top. The ski area is nice for intermediate skiers. The skibus stops in front of the hotel. The parking area behind the hotel is a little bit small, so we had to park our car double. But we had no problems during the week. The village Bruck does not offer anything. But considering the price I paid, it was a very good deal. And the personnel was very friendly and efficient.…
If you decide to go here, pay extra for a river view room. The other rooms are afflicted by traffic noise and early morning workers at the hotel across the road.Food.The breakfast is very good.Dinner is blighted by cold food and cold crockery. The service is buffet-style except for the pudding which is served at the table.Unfortunately, the buffet is situated in a corridor between Reception and the dining room.A bit cramped. The all inclusive wine and beer stops at 9pm and does not include any spirits. The public rooms are all a bit tired, especially the main lounge, which, incidentally allows smoking.Surprisingly this also extends to most cafes etc in the surrounding area. But the countryside is beautiful.
