I cannot say enough about how fabulous our experience was. It was our first time planning a ski trip and the staff were very helpful in letting me know what I needed and how to book. As well when we arrived The family run hotel was very hospitable, helpful, and friendly. We elected to have the food included and we were not disappointed, it was always delicious and it was very exciting to have a different home cooked meal every night. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy, especially the spa area was always well maintained. The convenience of location was excellent, however there was a bus up to the mountain base in case we were running late. Upon leaving they were very considerate and arranged the taxi to the airport for us and had packed us a little breakfast basket to go for the morning as we would have missed out due to our early flight. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone planning on travelling to Austria and we will be returning in the future!

The hotel is 3 star. What they do not mention is, that those stars are also Michelin stars. Or they should be. The dinner provided with half board is literally like going to 3 Michelin star restaurant. 4 meal dinner is a standard, begins with starter, then soup, main course and desert. It is not only exceptionally tasty, it is also arranged very professionally. Do not expect to loose weight during your stay. As if it wasn't enough, you also have salat bar to combine several kinds of salads (carrot, ginger, cabbage, lettuce, corn, etc) + two already mixed salads - potato and pasta. And bakery. So that was dinner :) For breakfast you have generous buffet with plenty of choices, mostly cold, but boiled eggs are there every day and they are cooked medium, which was great for me. Every other day there were some sausages or fried bacon or they asked you, if you would like some eggs on any kind (fried, omelet, scrambled). If you like great food, you want to be here at least 3 days and have a half board. The rest is standard, nice room with view to the mountains, chair and desk, tv with plenty of mostly German and Austrian channels, nice clean bathroom and separate toilet. Also plenty of storage. But bring the wall adapter multiplier, because there are only limited sockets in the room. I also had a balcony, which was common also for next 2 rooms (mine in the middle), so anyone could go out and look inside. Not the best option, but in winter nobody was going. In summer, this might be a problem. There is elevator in the building, which goes from the heated ski storage area in basement, so very comfortable. I also have to mention staff, because they are very professional, very helpful and very kind :) Generally very nice people and they definitelly made my stay even more pleasant. Not to mention, that if you accidentaly end up on a bus stop 20km away, because ski bus driver did not bother to stop at the hotel, they will promptly organize a taxi, which will bring you home. Thank you for saving me. I can only recommend this place and can't wait to come back again.

We spent 5 days at this lovely hotel and loved every minute. The hotel is very pretty and clean and tidy, the service is excellent, the rooms are lovely and the food is delicious. Andrea and Gert and all the staff are friendly and professional, and truly go out of there way for their guests. They made sure we always had food that met our special dietary requirements, even though we didn't ask for this. We stayed at the hotel half board, which was an excellent choice. As my 11 year old said: she would like to fold up the hotel and the people and take them all home with us. That really says it all.

Fantastic little hotel 500 meters from the access to Gletscher Moelltaler. Staff is very helpful and polite, rooms are clean not to big, food was very good so I would recommend a half board since for the price it is well worth. As an additional information hotel has a couple of sauna and small relaxation area which is excellent after a whole day of skiing. Fully recommended for a couple of days.

The hotel is a short walk away from the Glacierbahn taking you up to the glacier. A good choice at breakfast and a nice 5 course dinner if you choose half board. Nothing overly fancy, but a family run hotel with nice food and very friendly staff. WiFi is only available in the lobby, which we really liked because instead of our kids disappearing in their rooms we all had drinks in the lobby together.

Location was perfect for skiers - even if you cannot walk in skiboots, it is 3 minutes by car to the cableway station. You can be in the first train to the glacier and enjoy empty slopes in the morning!!! It is very calm place and you can sleep really well (even if mattress felt a bit hard for us). Breakfast is perfect to start skiing day. And dinner is just excellent!!! We liked everything we had, menu was rich and inventive. Wellness is clean and there is everything you can ask, on the other hand is rather small for all guests. At the beginning of the afternoon, it was crowded here. But we could manage this (going there later, just before dinner). The hotel is perfect for those who want to go skiing and have relax after. But if you prefer to have nightlife or walks in town, there is nothing like this here. We would like to come back for sure!!!

Together with my partner, we visited Alpenhotel Badmeister for 3 nights in April 2013 for a ski holiday and can only say we enjoyed every minute of our stay in the hotel very much. During our review, we follow a structure that focuses on the main factors one should generally consider when selecting in which hotel to stay. 1. Arrangement: We visited Mölltal following my partner’s personal experiences there a couple of years ago thus we organized our trip directly with the hotel, without any 3rd party intermediary involved. As far as I was concerned (primarily my partner managed the process), organizing our stay went smooth and we have been in contact with the owner / general manager of the hotel from the very beginning. 2. Arrival: Mölltal is located 630 km from Budapest that takes 6 hours of travel by car. Since this was not the first time for my partner in Mölltal, we have been pretty comfortable with how to get there. We have been warmly welcomed by the owner / general manager and the nice and helpful staff. Besides this hospitality, no specialty to mention. Since the hotel has a relatively large parking space, parking as well as moving all around was comfortable. One will find a relaxing, however bare environment from the road to Mölltal already. 3. Accommodation: Since we have been travelling 2 without our kid on board, we booked a normal room simply. The room was well equipped, cleaned and refurbished (which was especially true for the bathroom) a however was a bit tight. Besides, it ensured a nice view at the neighboring mountains as well as at the parking space. At first, a view at the parking space might sound surprising and not that much desirable, but the mountain view partially compensated for it. Besides that, not much to mention on the rooms since the hotel’s web site explains everything in detail. 4. Food and beverage: We chose half board and the food was absolute fair with equaling quality of the breakfast and that of the diner. For breakfast, one could choose from a variety of buffet elements including continental as well as English features, fresh fruits, juices thus a fair selection of meals to choose from. For diner, one could choose either from a menu, containing several different soups, a nice selection of fresh salads, main courses and deserts (from Monday to Friday) or from a variety of buffet elements with a fair selection of meals to choose from (from Saturday to Sunday). When talking about food, quality as well as quantity was consistent and absolute fair. 5. Attractions: Since we stayed for 3 nights only and were rather off skiing the whole day, did not have much time to check out the attractions the hotel and the surrounding area offers: - Wellness: Excellent, with Finnish sauna, infra sauna, steam bath, a rest room and a large outdoor balcony where most of the people rested. When visiting with kids, it is important to bear in mind the naked body culture being a common cultural element in Austria. All-in-all, the wellness area definitely offers a great benefit to anyone following a long day of skiing. - Mölltal ski slopes: since the hotel is located literally 500 m from the Glacier Express, it offers a nice comfort for skiers. As we were primarily prepared for skiing, could not imagine a better place to choose. The hotel has a nice, warmly heated ski room for technical equipment that can be kept dry and warm throughout the night being therefore nicely prepared for the next day’s challenges. Finally, the altogether 70 km ski slopes of Mölltal are definitely paradise for skiers with all types of experience be it beginner, intermediate or expert. All in all, we spent 3 wonderful nights in this nice hotel. Can only recommend Alpenhotel Badmeister / Mölltal to anyone having the opportunity to travel there for skiing. Will enjoy it for sure.

Hi I stayed for 3 nights in this nice family owned hotel. The stuff was very kind and helpful. The cuisine was more than good. Rooms are not very pretty but very very clean. The spa was better than I saw in many 4 star hotels. The best location in a valley, distance to Gletscher just 800m. The walls are not to thick, so it' a bit too noisy if you want to sleep longer then other skiers. Have a good stay
