#1 rated on Shelter Island, five minutes walk to Sunset Beach, magnificent sunsets, and the lively restaurant and bar. Seven offers en-suite private contemporary design-inspired bathrooms featuring 100% cotton linens and sustainable toiletry amenities from The Cold Spring Apothecary and French milled soaps by Pre de Provence. Unlike a traditional B&B, the influence of contemporary art is infused throughout the sleek, uncluttered design: guests enjoy breakfast at Northern Dutch designer Marcel Wanders' Two Tops Table, and Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa's organic sculptural abaca Grande Papilio Swivel Armchair and Ottoman welcome guests into the library and gallery. The personal picnic breakfast baskets includes fresh juices, pain au chocolat, croissants, baguettes with sweet butter and jam, and a gourmet cheese. High design and contemporary art update 1902 farmhouse. Our most important consideration is the health and well-being of our community, and as the COVID-19 situation evolves, we continue to update our policies and procedures with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Self check in is in place, contact-less payments are available, staff and guests are wearing masks indoors and maintaining six feet social distancing. Surfaces are disinfected frequently, hand sanitizer is available, and frequent hand washing is encouraged.

When we got to Seven, we did not know what to expect and what a pleasant surprise. Our room was beautifully updated with great fixtures, hardwood floors, beautiful bathroom and great artwork. The upstairs balcony was great for breakfast and bird watching. Dominika was great, very helpful and always on point. She gave great directions, suggested places to eat. She also helped us with the fire pit and get ingredients for smores. We spent 3 nights and probably could have spent 3 weeks. It was very relaxing and thanks again for such a great time.

We traveled from New England to Shelter via the New London Ferry. Easy and beautiful, no traffic at either end of the journey. Upon arrival at Seven we were greeted by friendly staff who assured our room and plans were set for the weekend. They assisted with plans, maps, bookings, suggestions, etc. The accommodations were splendid, the food tasty, unique and abundant. I needed a big breakfast to fuel a tour of the island on one of the Inn's fleet of bicycles. I finished up the bike ride with a quick dive in the "ocean" (Dering Harbor actually) before returning to Seven to avail ourselves of their beach chairs and pre-packed beach supplies and enjoy an afternoon in the sun. A wonderful retreat, less than three hours from home.

Book your vacation today to Shelter Island and stay at Seven on Shelter! My husband and I wanted a quick getaway from our Providence home, and we could not have been happier with our choice of Seven. I felt entirely safe and secure in our Guest Room. Because of Covid, we were apprehensive about other guests, but it was very easy to maintain our distance but still enjoy all of what Shelter Island has to offer. The biggest surprise was morning breakfast which was an individual huge picnic basket for every room filled with all kinds of breakfast delicacies. There was even indivudal coffee and tea pots for every room. Magnificent! Go if you can, and enjoy Seven's great hospitality.

We had never been to Shelter Island before and our experience at"Seven" was a wonderful one. Beth, Dominika, (and Evie the sweet house Weimaraner) were so very welcoming and gave us great suggestions on things to do during our visit. The house is totally renovated and decorated beautifully incorporating modern features while still maintaining old world charm. There was also very unique artwork displayed throughout the house and a binder with information on all the pieces. Everything was meticulously clean and the staff and guests were all consciously following safe distancing and wearing masks in all indoor spaces. Loved the extremely comfortable bed and waking up to our picnic breakfast every day! All good vibes!!!

We had an amazing experience here this past weekend! From the thoughtful addition of water and food bowl for our dog to the beautiful morning breakfast basket and fresh coffee- Dominika and Beth go above and beyond to make their guest comfortable. We can't wait to come back!
