Top rated! Expansive heated swimming pool & outdoor fresh air workout space & meditation area. The influence of contemporary art is infused throughout the sleek, uncluttered design. Arrive early to enjoy our warm swimming pool, Seven is walking distance (five minutes) to Crescent Beach (also known as Sunset Beach). Seven provides beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers & towels, and hybrid bikes (with helmets) are available for our guests use. Walk to the trendy Sunset Beach restaurant (where yachts are anchored) or enjoy the more casual Flying Goat pub & restaurant overlooking the nine hole public golf course; or enjoy a free concert at the famous Perlman Music Program. We recommend you make dinner reservations right away. Leon 1909 is a top rated newer restaurant, walking distance from Seven. Smart casual, Hamptons chic options: our favorite The Vine Street Café (excellent and highly recommended) or Leon 1909 is highly rated (a one block walk from Seven) with their open fire kitchen. Reservations are always suggested. Seven's European inspired breakfast buffet is offered each morning from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (If you prefer a personal picnic basket or a breakfast tray - do let us know in advance.) Award winning, consistently #1 rated and recognized as one of the TOP bed and breakfast in the USA and TOP 1% of hotels in the world by Trip Advisor. New York Times suggested, featured in Forbes Magazine (twice!) and Modern Luxury Hamptons Magazines. Seven offers en-suite private contemporary design-inspired bathrooms featuring 100% cotton linens and sustainable toiletry amenities from The Cold Spring Apothecary and French milled soaps by Pre de Provence. Unlike a traditional B&B, the influence of contemporary art is infused throughout the sleek, uncluttered design: guests enjoy breakfast at Northern Dutch designer Marcel Wanders' Two Tops Table, and Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa's organic sculptural abaca Grande Papilio Swivel Armchair and Ottoman welcome guests into the library and gallery. The personal picnic breakfast baskets includes fresh juices, pain au chocolat, croissants, baguettes with sweet butter and jam, and a gourmet cheese. High design and contemporary art update this 1902 farmhouse. Your home away from home.

We booked three nights at Seven on Shelter based on Trip Adviser reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Beth made us feel at home from the start. She recommended things to do and restaurants albeit at NYC prices. We enjoyed the outdoor fire and petting Peaches, Beth’s Weimaraner, who was very calm and friendly. The rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious.

Truly perfect! I didn't think Seven on Shelter could get any better - yet it does every time! I have visited a few times now and since my last visit Seven now has the most stunning heated pool, the most incredible state-of-the-art gym area and remains one of the most comfortable and spectacular places I have ever stayed! The attention-to-detail is exquisite with suxh luxurious rooms and very high quality linen and towels. The lounge areas are so relaxing with stunning artworks and beautiful coffee table books! Then there is the pool! It is heated and the whole outside area has been put together beautifully. It was so relaxing and quiet sitting poolside with breakfast, followed by a dip and the fabulous owner Beth had arranged a meditation class for us! It was wonderful! The breakfast is also a highlight with delicious fresh pasties and breads, a fantastic selection of jams and cheeses and super coffee! There are snacks and drinks out all day and it really felt like being at home - albeit an incredibly stylish and beautiful home! The staff are exceptional. Beth, the owner, simply could not do enough for us! She recommended local restaurants (we loved Leon 1909! Just a few minutes walk) and she is so sweet and kind! Her team were all amazing and William even took our car to the local garage to check the tyre pressure! Just beyond incredible service! We took bikes around the island, took the ferry for lunch in Sag Harbor, and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Seven. The location is so ideal too just steps from Crescent Beach (with the fabulous and stylish Sunset Beach restaurant) and also just a few minutes from the North Ferry which takes you to Greenport which has excellent shops and restaurants! The South Ferry is also not far and that takes you to Sag Harbor which also has great spots to eat and shop! What a place to stay! I can't recommend it enough! We come back year after year and it just keeps getting better!

I booked a three night stay at Seven as a surprise for my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I didn’t know what to expect, never having stayed at a B&B before. Upon arrival we were pleased to see a beautifully and tastefully restored charming farmhouse. As soon as we walked inside, we felt both calm and excited at the same time, like a big hug from a dear friend. The decor is the perfect combination of cozy farmhouse and minimalist contemporary creating an ambiance that is at once tranquil, replenishing and energizing. The rooms and outdoor spaces are modern and immaculately clean. The innkeeper, Beth, and her staff’s attention to detail is evident throughout the property, as is their desire to insure each guest’s comfort - soft, fluffy towels (and plenty of them) and bedding, beautiful bathrooms, invigorating showers, incredibly comfortable outdoor chaises, tilting umbrellas, plenty of books and games, bicycles, European style breakfast buffet with fresh eggs, delicious jams and spreads, fresh produce and freshly baked bread and chocolate croissants as flaky and delicious as any I’ve had in Paris, and so much more. Beth is a lovely, considerate host who seemed to quietly and effortlessly anticipate our needs, all the while giving us all the privacy we could want. Our stay was short, but we left feeling renewed and refreshed, ready to return to real life, happy to have made new friends and looking forward to returning to celebrate another special occasion.

How does Seven keep getting more wonderful? Beth has created the most sumptuous and luxurious haven, the perfect escape! From the spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms, the most comfortable beds and stylish touches to the superb amenities including the fabulous pool, gym space (which includes Peloton!), cosy seating areas with an array of stylish books to dip into and a fantastic breakfast spread including freshly baked croissants and fresh fruit! Each visit keeps getting better! We explored Shelter Island by bike and love being located so close to the beach! The weather was not great but Seven is such a cosy and comfortable retreat we did not mind at all! Thank you Beth for another wonderful visit and we can't wait to come back again!

My second stay at Seven was just as fabulous as my first.. or maybe even more so! Although I had only intended to come to New York (Londoner) in June and stay a few days at Seven.. meeting Beth and finding this dreamy get-away was too magical to not return the next month. The facilities, rooms, art, breakfasts and extra offerings (beach towels, spontaneous BBQs, sunscreen, connecting to other lovely guests.. and so much more).. speaks to the amazing hospitality of the owner Beth, her staff and genuine care to make every 'new friend's' experience special.. such a treat! I'm a bit of a travelbug, have travelled to over 80 countries and rarely return to the same place twice but Seven has me hooked! Dog friendly too, so if you love a little pooch time.. Beth's Peaches is so Devine! Thank you so much and looking forward to my next escape there ❤️🙏🏽❤️

We cannot say enough good things about Seven! We went early September, just after Labor Day, when Shelter Island is quiet and warm and just pure heaven. We booked Seven on a whim and it exceeded our expectations across the board. The spaces are immaculate and beautiful, beds and pillows so comfortable, and loved the toiletries in the bathrooms. The croissants in the morning were heavenly and the coffee was strong and plentiful (and I appreciated the to-go cups for later in the day). Beth and Shannon were both lovely and helpful, as well as knowledgable about everything Shelter Island. Location of Seven is perfect and within walking distance from beach, and they literally provide everything you need for a day at the beach from beach towels, beach chairs, coolers - all so well thought out and intuitive. They also have bikes to take to explore the island further. The pool at the house is a slice of heaven - perfect temperature and such a serene space. Would come back again and again, it was the perfect getaway sans kids.

We loved our 3 nights in the middle of August @ Seven on Shelter. We had the run of the place because Beth gives her guests space to get to know each other and create their own experience. She is definitely not under foot but available of needed. Breakfast was fresh and healthy and coffee/tea/drinks were available all day. The heated pool was an added benefit and the common areas were spacious and comfortable

A marvelous stay. It’s our 3 visit at Seven and it always delivers more than you expect. Beth is a fantastic host. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast is delicious with nice local food. Since our last time the B&B has been upgraded with a nice pool with beautiful terraces around the pool. This has lifted her place another level. She provide her guests with sun chairs, umbrellas, paddle board to use at the beach. You will not lack anything at Seven. We will come back

We just returned from a 6 night stay at Seven. Beth provided us with a warm welcome and made sure our stay was perfect. From Patrick’s breakfasts, the pool, room amenities, and just the whole vibe, it was exactly what we needed. Staying there was like being at home which is Beth’s goal for her guests. We would definitely return and recommend Seven to anyone looking for a luxurious yet homey stay in a beautiful place.
