Unlike a traditional B&B, the influence of contemporary art is infused throughout the sleek, uncluttered design. Arrive early to enjoy our new swimming pool, Seven is walking distance (five minutes) to Crescent Beach (we have a beach closet on the first level with beach chairs, and towels); hybrid bikes are available for our guests use. Walk to the trendy Sunset Beach restaurant (where yachts are anchored or enjoy the more casual Flying Goat pub & nrestaurant overlooking the nine hole public golf course; and enjoy a free concert at the famous Perlman Music Program. We recommend you make dinner reservations right away. Isola is another very casual option, one mile from Seven. Smart casual, Hamptons chic options with very good food are 18 Bay (a James Beard nominated restaurant which features a chef’s tasting menu) and our favorite The Vine Street Café is excellent and highly recommended. Reservations are always suggested and necessary. Our European inspired breakfast buffet is offered each morning at Seven, in the kitchen, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (If you prefer a personal picnic basket or a breakfast tray - do let us know in advance.) Award winning, consistently #1 rated and recognized as one of the TOP bed and breakfast in the USA and TOP 1% of hotels in the world by Trip Advisor in 2017. New York Times suggested, featured in Forbes Magazine and Modern Luxury Hamptons Magazines. Seven offers en-suite private contemporary design-inspired bathrooms featuring 100% cotton linens and sustainable toiletry amenities from The Cold Spring Apothecary and French milled soaps by Pre de Provence. Unlike a traditional B&B, the influence of contemporary art is infused throughout the sleek, uncluttered design: guests enjoy breakfast at Northern Dutch designer Marcel Wanders' Two Tops Table, and Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa's organic sculptural abaca Grande Papilio Swivel Armchair and Ottoman welcome guests into the library and gallery. The personal picnic breakfast baskets includes fresh juices, pain au chocolat, croissants, baguettes with sweet butter and jam, and a gourmet cheese. High design and contemporary art update 1902 farmhouse. Our most important consideration is the health and well-being of our community, and as the COVID-19 situation evolves, we continue to update our policies and procedures with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Self check in is in place, contact-less payments are available, staff and guests are wearing masks indoors and maintaining six feet social distancing. Surfaces are disinfected frequently, hand sanitizer is available, and frequent hand washing is encouraged.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a stay at Seven in August just after the heated pool was completed. Absolutely stunning. Beth the owner does not miss a detail with fresh flowers in the room, a straw tote with rolled towels, and an immaculate and interesting art collection. Plenty of bicycles, for an easy 1 minute ride to the Sunset Beach scene. The best part is heading back to Seven when you’re ready to ditch the music and the crowds, just in time to have a glass of wine by the pool before your dinner reservation. Highly recommend, this place caters to a sophisticated, unpretentious crowd who has an appreciation for the finer details. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Property's Favorite Review
Have you ever gone to a place that within the first 15 minutes you knew you made a good decision? That’s the way my wife and I felt when we arrived at the end of July 2020. We wound up staying 10 days changing rooms 5 times as needed because of other bookings. So we basically can review every room at the Inn. Each charming , each perfect for our needs especially during the summer of covid. Beth the owner and on site manager was charming and truly couldn’t do enough to make our stay the best that could be expected and over delivering. Her on site staff were also accommodating and genuinely cared for each guest to to their needs and requests. Dominika and Christina were both awesome and handled our day to day needs. Breakfast was especially special. Individual picnic baskets with a perfect assortment to make anyone happy. This review is way overdue in writing as it is now January 2nd 2021 but I felt it was time to give Seven the credit and just compliments they deserved. If any of you reading this are considering going there this coming summer don’t go the week we want to book. We are afraid this gem on Shelter Island will become so popular we will never be able to get a room again. Oh did I mention it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach. It doesn’t get much better. Go and find out for yourselves. Bob and Lucille

We had a wonderful stay at Seven this past weekend! We were greeted warmly upon arrival and given helpful tips on the area. Our room was great! Beautiful decorated and furnished with everything you could need. The building is gorgeous and has several spaces to relax indoors and outdoors. The front porch was a great place to enjoy coffee and breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! You were provided with a picnic basket full of pastries, cheese, yogurt, fruit, granola, hard boiled eggs, and orange juice. You are also provided with a thermos of delicious coffee! There is a beautiful beach that is a short walk away, and many close by options for dinner. Beth and Dominika were extremely friendly and helpful. They had great tips on things to do and places to go. I can’t say enough good things about this place, and hope to return!

We so enjoyed our stay at "Seven." We received a warm welcome from everyone there. The accommodations are top notch. Comfortable, clean, and beautifully appointed. A thermometer was made available for temperature checks as well as hand-sanitizer and social distancing instructions. The contact-free breakfast basket was generously prepared with care and included delicious french yogurt, granola, fresh berries, cheese, pastries, jams, and a thermos of excellent coffee. There are bicycles to use (for an added activity fee) and a porch to enjoy. We hope to book again in the near future!

Gracious hospitality, impeccable attention to detail- this is the place to stay on Shelter. The breakfast baskets are packed full of delicious local fruits, dairy and bakery. The house is lovely and there is nothing Beth and her staff can’t arrange, suggest or make just a little bit better for you. Perfect end to a holiday weekend? An evening around the fire pit, counting stars and planning your return. Highly recommend.
