Neat room, big TV with plenty of options. Large bed therefore slept wonderfully. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bedside table lamp flashed immediately got a new one. Despite the busy occupation little noise. Plenty of parking spaces. Had a great experience.

Ok hotel for one night (I stayed there during Challenge Almere triathlon). The room was clean. Not enough pillows (only two). Don’t bother paying 17 EUR for breakfast, it’s very basic. The rest was ok

This hotel, is a good choice if your have low standards. The rooms are dirty, (we even got a wrong room that was not prepared.) In the morning cleaning staff just walks into your room with no respect for your privacy The front desk is understaffed and what little staff is incompetent and unfriendly. Our recommendation is to avoid this "hotel"

Beware: Bastion Hotels sells all your private data to other parties. When I booked a room online I even asked them specifically to not sell my data and to not use it for any marketing purposes. And of course, from the day after my stay I got subscribed to their newsletter and I get about 15 spam mails per day from shady organizations.
My actual experience was mixed but I will be giving 1-star reviews to any company/organization that makes money off of its customer's private data.

The whole place is just dirty. On arrival day we were already given a dirty room and on request to clean this we were only given new towels. The floor is so dirty that you can't walk without shoes in the room. We absolutely cannot recommend the place!

The reception was very frosty. No hello or warm welcome. Dull check-in. The line was very long because the beach festival was in Almere. The corridors and the elevator were very old. Not a nice sight when you arrived. The rooms were not clean either. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work. The beds were OK and the room was quiet. The room price of €129 was very expensive, we didn't take the breakfast of €17.50 per person. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. We cannot recommend Bastion Almere.

The pictures in my review should really say enough. A few details: When I entered the room, I was greeted by a strong smell of (too) old air conditioning and bodily fluids. There were several dried white spots on the bedspread of the made bed (particularly disgusting when you think about what bodily fluids it smells like here). The window was very dirty, so you couldn't enjoy the view of the parking lot at all... There were crumbs and dirt on the armchair, the table and the bedside table. There were other greasy spots on the curtains and on the tiles in the bathroom. Of course, there was also a spider and its web. After 5 minutes in the room, it felt like there were more hygiene issues than it was square meters. The reception responded kindly to our request and inspected the room. We were offered another, equivalent room and free breakfast. After a bit of small talk, we were told that the other rooms didn't look much better. We naturally had to decline breakfast from a disgusting hotel, which at first glance was simply dirty, and asked if there was a possibility of cancelling as a gesture of goodwill in such a case. We were given a number and assured that we would get help there. The lady on the phone referred us to an email address. To this day I write back and forth with support, who either answer the emails with copy/paste texts a la advertising brochures or make false statements. For example, the employee at the reception was probably asked about a wrong booking, because his statement mentions a woman who checked in for my booking. I'm just pretty sure he's a man... In this sense, the online service is on par with the service on site. All in all, my biggest hotel misstep so far. Cheap hotels on Mallorca and other bed and breakfast escapades included.

Overall the room and bed was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re planning on eating or drinking at the hotel the staff were absolutely useless! the guy taking food and drinks ordered was absolutely useless, had no idea what he was at, everything we ordered he had to come back over to reorder cause he forgot. to the point I literally had to go over to the bar and practically make the drinks myself. we checked in late and told we could only order food within 40 mins, we said we’re ready to order straight away so it wasn’t long and he come over, again he forgot what we wanted, so I went back to the bar to ask if I can order my food again I was told well I need to hurry up as the kitchen closes in 10 min (I had been trying to order for 30 mins) there was probably 2 other tables in there he wasn’t busy just standing behind the bar talking to another colleague. Really unprofessional .

I do not recommend at all, unpleasant staff, no arrangements. Reservation of 2 rooms, I was not able to take advantage of it because the dates were wrong and it was impossible to change the dates, no refunds, 325€ stupidly lost. I will never book there again.
