We are a family of 5 who ate lunch at Laholmen on July 4, and had the lunch of all time! We ordered two burgers, a pizza burrata, a sandwich and a fish soup. The burgers were super good: the meat was amazing quality, the bacon perfectly fried and the fries were crispy and warm. The pizza had good filling, a thick crust and thin bottom and was warm. The fish soup was absolutely delicious and the shrimp bread filled with shrimp. The only thing that can be pulled down was that the fish soup was a little small and had a little little fish. Still the best with the whole lunch was the waiter (Festim). He joked with us and was attentive, but not exhausting. My mother ordered a glass of white wine for the fish soup, and he came up with a really lovely recommendation that suited perfectly! He really lifted the experience. The lunch here is the best in Strømstad and we will definitely be back soon!

We were a couple there in July. The hotel is basically in a very good location and they have a great restaurant with lovely food! But service was lacking at the table. The waiter knew neither English nor Swedish. We finally had to get another waiter. The table was not cleared en route and no one came to ask how the food tasted or if we wanted dessert. Finally, a new waiter came who was extremely pleasant, chatted like a waterfall to pull the service up again. Drinks from the bar were of a low standard, one had to be replaced. With a few simple measures on the part of the hotel, both the service and the interior in common areas can be improved. There were some old dusty decorations around. Everything was good here. Location, room, service, breakfast. We were almost alone in the hotel, so it was very quiet and peaceful. Got a room with a view, very good! Had a view towards the car park last time, with noise from fans, it was not good.
Very good breakfast, with a nice chef who makes a fantastic omelette. And a fantastic view from the breakfast room and out in the sofa groups by the bar. It's nice to read and relax there.
The room was a good size. Plus for kettle, fridge and heating in the bathroom floor. The cleanliness was top notch.
Parking outside the door for SEK 135 per night, there was also an electric car charger there.
A good stay, we are very satisfied, nothing to complain about this time.

We were at the hotel because of the job event. The whole night there was some loud noise, sounds like a generator. Impossible to sleep. The pillows are horrible as well, feel like made of stones. THe floor in the shower was not properly clean. The room windows face the parking lot, so you can hear when someone starts the car as well. A horrible hotel.

Scandic Laholmen has always delivered good quality. Nice staff, very good and good selection in the breakfast. Even our four-legged friends are welcome at this hotel, which we have visited many years in a row. The hotel is well located in the center with a great view. In the summer you can enjoy outdoor dining.

Hej Trond! Vi har ett litet träningsrum på hotellet där det finns ett löpband, crosstrainer och motionscykel så där finns det möjligheter för dig om du vill springa inomhus. Vi har även samarbete med Strömstads badanstalt som ligger bredvid hotellet och som har stort gym med flera löpband. Hotellet ligger mitt i stan så utanför är det asfalt som gäller. Det finns ett väldigt fint naturspår ca 3 km från hotellet också med fantastiska stigar, vi berättar gärna mer om detta när du kommer!
