The hotel website showed nice photos of the rooms and somehow kept mentioning that their hairdryers are good. Before checking in, my expectation for this hotel was high. The pros (1) location is good, near bus stop and metro (forum) (2) nice decor for the hotel reception (3) good pizzeria next door (4) friendly staff The cons (1) hairdryer is...

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Easter, smooth sailing from airport to hotel, we got the train M2 and walked up to street to the hotel, took a few mins to walk from forum station. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved the wine hour and the lobby was relaxing and hygge. Our room was spacious and comfy beds....

I found the staff in the hotel pleasant enough and willing to help with any requests, but I wish the rest of the hotel was as nice as the lobby / bar. I appreciate it's one of the cheapest real hotels near the centre of town but sadly the rooms didn't live up to expectations given the price - which...

Dear Guest Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. To begin with, we sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our cleaning during your stay, this is most certainly not the standard we want to present to our guests, as we are targeting 100% guest satisfaction. This should have been taking care of -...

We stayed for six nights and had a lovely experience! We stayed in a double room on upper floor, facing the back yard. Very nice, quite and clean both room and bathroom. The service is exceptional good - Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The location is fine - about 30 min. walk from city center. The breakfast is delicious with...

I recently stayed at the Avenue Hotel for a conference nearby. Of all the conference hotels, this was the most expensive. The lobby is great and first impressions were that this was a cozy, somewhat upscale property. There is a bar in the lobby comfortable area with couches to sit and visit and the staff is extremely friendly and competent....

Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the lobby bar and the service from us. However, we are of course sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the rooms. We are redoing all of the rooms at the moment - paiting them, putting...

Had a really good experience at Avenue hotel. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are spacious for a short stay. Wi-fi was working perfectly. The location is great and there is a metro stop (Forum) 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Brilliant breakfast and FREE wine in the afternoon! Overall great experience.

I agree with a previous reviewer - it's both a wine bar and hotel - the reception is located at the bar, with a friendly and helpful staff ready to accommodate any request. My room was large and facing the courtyard - which I recommend. While the bathroom needed an update and some lightbulbs needed changing, the overall vibe in...

I'm a frequent traveller to Copenhagen and work in the hospitality industry. There are some basic things I expect to see in any hotel I stay regardless of rating and unfortunately this hotel falls short on some of those basics Good wifi / comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep .. basic !! None of which this hotel delivered on. Wifi...

The hotel is located just outside Copenhagen city center, which makes for a quieter setting but still walking distance to city center. The room was large by European standards, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast, however, was far too expensive, and the tap water in the bathroom smelled strongly of sulphur. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, comfortable,...

Is this a wine bar or a hotel? Well, a bit of both! The reception/lobby is a lounge/bar, and hotel guests sit by the fire with a glass and chat. It's so relaxed and welcoming. Staff are helpful. WiFi is fast and free. I had a small room with a single bed (was traveling alone) but it was ample. Breakfast...

Thank you very much for your review! You are absolutely right; at Brøchner Hotels we do not have receptions - we have Lobby Bars. Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
