We were very happy to arrive at Avenue hotel this January! Excited to see Copenhagen for the first time and traveling with a 4 year old! We would definitely go again! The hotel is located in a fairly central location in a lovely high ceiling building with cozy interior and friendly, English speaking personnel! Clean and warm, we faced no... More

We've have found the hotel atmosphere very cosy and friendly. The lounge with the comfortable sofas, many leisure book to be read on the shelfs and the company of the chimney with real fire, create a very warm ambiente and make you feel like at home. The breakfast buffet was really very rich and organic based. As frequent business travellers... More

Myself and my sister stayed here last weekend and would definitely go back. The hotel is small. Staff throughout, but particularly at reception, are so friendly, intelligent, helpful with flawless English. The bar area to the right of reception has lovely comfortable couches with books and board games. Snacks could be ordered there. The room was small and the beds... More

I have been 3 times in this hotel. Twice for 2 nights and once 4 nights. The hotel is nicely situated at a convenient distance from the center of Copenhagen. The lobby is very cosy and warmly decorated. The rooms I had were nicely decorated, warm and clean. The WiFi was excellent. The staf was very friendly and helpful. And... More

Good location, great bar and restaurant, friendly staff...the only slight disappointment was the room itself, which was a a bit worn (and we had paid for a 'superior' room). But the hotel has character, and is 'boutique'. Breakfast is included, and is very good, but make sure you are there before 10.30, when everything gets cleared (we had been told... More

Clean and nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect for us since we had a meeting close by. There is a nice Italian restaurant very close by with excellent food. Was recommended by the hotel staff. Thanks for that!

Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful reception staff, recommended nearby restaurants and even made a reservation for us, it was excellent ! Good choice at breakfast buffet, but spaces were limited and the staff somewhat overwhelmed by the number of guests on a Saturday morning.

A pleasent place to spend a few days. It is our second time in this hotel, which proves that we like it. Both times we stayed in a superior double room in the fourth floor, facing the street. The rooms are big, not luxurious, but nicely decorated and clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, although this can be... More

It is a clean hotel with nice rooms and attentive staff. The breakfast was good and the WIFI never slow.. The hotel is priced competitively and they recommended a very nice restaurant for dinner (Scarpetta) 2 minutes walk away where the food was excellent and, like the hotel, prices very acceptable. Would not hesitate to suggest this hotel to others... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
