Visited this site November 2015,booked online, don't, ring and book, ended up not taking my dog which we paid for but was told we couldn't get a refund as we booked online! If you are a large person you probably wouldn't get in the tiny showers or get dried when you got out, no heating on ,it was freezing, the... More

We have stayed at Greenhills a few times when we were touring, however this year (2015) due to work commitments we wouldn't have had the opportunity to tour as much as we would like so we looked around for a seasonal pitch. A few emails and phone calls to various sites around an hour or so from home resulted in... More

We stayed at Greenhills in our motorhome for 2 nights. It is a lovely, well maintained site, and I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are good and kept very clean. The big plus for the site is the location; a short easy walk into Bakewell. The only downside was no free WiFi. Hopefully the site... More

Lovely site. Quiet, clean toilets and small shop. Short walk to lovely Pubs in Ashford. We will definitely use this site again. Very near to bake well too . There is a small pub too and information centre. The pitches r hard standing and spacious.

Nice big park, lots of space. Very clean facilities, nice having shop and bar on site. 20 minute walk away from Ashford in the Water, where I can heartily recommend the Bulls Head for lunch. Staff on site were extremely helpful and found us assistance when we had problem with boiler in motorhome.

We stayed here for one night on our walking holiday. Without a booking we arrived to reception and the site were more than happy to let us camp for one night. The check in process was simple and we were shown to our pitch and given a tour of the site and its facilities. The site has its own shop,... More

I had forgotten why we were looking for another site in the area until I put up the awning. The motor mower started up and continued until early evening. How long does it take to cut the grass. There was more grass cutting most days or the mower used as a motor for the trailer. The worst noise was at... More

Lovely campsite, good facilities and very clean. Nice pub on site for the colder evenings. Also a handy little shop and fairly reasonable. Handy to walk in to Bakewell in about 20 to 30 minutes. My only gripe and the reason I gave it 4 not 5 is that someone was already setting up on our pitch at 10.30 before... More

This is probably our 5th visit to Greenhills with a mixture of being under canvass and in a caravan. It's a lovely well kept and clean site which in our experience attracts people who respect the facilities. It has a shop, a pub and plenty of toilets, showers and washing facilities. It also has a play-area near the pub. It's... More

The campsite is well laid out and showers are clean. Pitches are a good size. Still unsure as to why gazebos are not allowed especially when the weather warrants shelter to cook sometimes. Many campers resorted to building various styles of shelter which in theory are a gazebo but not, if that makes sense! Would try another site next time.
