Booked the Rafters room for our anniversary treat to ourselves. Car park spaces readily available and managed to get right next to the entrance 👍🏻 Check in is 3pm but we were early. No issue, as the incredible Sue on reception accepted our luggage and secured them for us and arranged for staff to get the room ready a little earlier. Huge thanks for that. When we put our items away, we examined the room. It is immaculate. New carpets, curtains, bedding, paint and bed. The bathroom is large, spacious, two vanity units, superb shower and bath….it looked and felt opulent. Loved it. Tea and coffee facilities, chocolate bar, hairdryer, big tv, bathrobes and extra pillows. The rooms have been done to an excellent standard and come as a package with evening meal and breakfast if you wish. We wanted this as the food is the best I’ve ever eaten so we took advantage of the fabulous offer and booked the 9 course taster menu and breakfast. We then enjoyed the beautiful gardens and river seating with some recommended wine from Alistair and relaxed for the afternoon. Staff are awesome and attentive but a special shout out to Jorja, Sophie and Will who really made us feel special. Food was 10/10 in every way and the classy restaurant was truly enjoyed by everyone and it was full. Great sleep and black out curtains were perfect. Breakfast superb, and the eggs royals were the best ever. So happy with what we had been served, we decided to stay another night but due to bookings we had to move to a garden room. Smaller and more compact but none less luxurious. Superb. Outside table and chairs for each garden room and we took full advantage. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and had the best anniversary we ever had and this was our 33rd! Incredible staff, food and property. Cannot thank people enough for their service. If you ever get chance, try this place out. It’s superb. Thank you all. Can’t wait to be back 👍🏻🙏🏻

Recently went for evening meal to celebrate my anniversary with my husband. The meal was amazing from start to finish. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. With my husband currently in a wheelchair, the access and help we received was amazing. They took him from our car to the bar and then to the restaurant and made sure that he was comfortable. It is definitely a great place to go and we will be going back

We stayed 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate both nights in the excellent Rafters restaurant. The first night we had the taster menu which meant we knew which dishes we wanted to choose the next evening when we had the three course menu. The staff in the hotel could not be more friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was delightful and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Anyone who has eaten at Rafters restaurant in Nether Green, Sheffield, will love this hotel. Led by Alistair (wine/foh) and Tom (Head chef) at both venues, the food is delicious, modern/classic, varied, every plate has a wow factor. We had the 9 course taster menu, which was delicious, well-paced and genetous without being over the top. There is an extensive wine list, served by knowledgeable staff who are very happy to advise on a great accompaniment to your meal. Prices reflect the quality, but there is a good range and, if you are looking for a post-lockdown treat, this is a great place to find it. The new wow factor, beyond their Rafters base, is the idyllic setting. An old hunting lodge converted into a small hotel, adjacent to the River Weaver, in a delightful village that is hidden away. You would easily drive past without realising what you have missed. The grounds of the hotel are not extensive, but there a quite a few places to sit outside, to enjoy the river flowing peacefully by or to sit in secluded surroundings and enjoy the relaxed ambience before dinner. Highly recommended

The newly launched hotel has maintained it historic charm whilst offering a superb modern dining experience. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. A perfect place for a celebration. Having been to Rafters in Sheffield we wondered if they could emulate the same standard of cooking and service. The answer is a resounding YES! and it feels that bit more special when you can enjoy a pre dinner glass of fizz in a bubble bath and follow dinner with coffee and night cap in a comfy chair by the fire before padding off to your room. Breakfast doesn't disappoint either, taken is the cosy Range Room, we started our day with a gorgeous little pot of granola and yogurt, croissants and a hearty full English. Quality bacon, sausage and black pudding, a real treat! Back on the diet for us!
