We stopped here having walked across from Castleton. The lunch menu was good; we had a couple of the sandwiches. Also a good range of real ale and cider. It also has rooms if you want to stay in the area.

We called into the hotel at about 10 with a view to booking a table and leaving the car at the pub... We got a snotty lady who pulled a face when I asked about the table (we don't take bookings...). My partner came in with her 7 year old to see if she could use the toilets (no they...

We called in Friday night for a bite to eat. Fab new menu. Great service again. Definitely be back again. Service was fast and we all enjoyed our meal. I can recommend the lamb on the specials board and also the cottage pie

The location and venue are lovely, however the food was very average for the price and the chicken was inedible.... It was rubbery and tasted bad. The staff were cold in ambience. If the food wasn't made then frozen, it would have tasted much better, what a shame.

Visited after a very lengthy walk through the peaks for a well deserved pint. Very large beer garden which is great on a nice day. Decent selection of beers available too. Not sure of prices as the round was bout by another member of the group

I visited here, like most people here, after a long day walking & looking for some tasty food! While the food definitely didn't disappoint, the service absolutely did. When I tried to order, I had my head bitten off by the man serving me, after trying to order my drink first. Then I tried to order food; I had looked...

Really disappointing visit on bank holiday Monday. I had rang earlier in the week to confirm they were open and that they were serving food at the usual times as I was aware it was a bank holiday (hence the phone call ) I then rang again to see if we could book a table as we would be a...

Lovely village, lovely pub with nice ales. Meals are excellent, with lots of choice. A very popular place especially weekends, lots of walkers fuelling up. Bar staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed here for an overnight stop whilst out walking from Edale. This Inn is a meeting point for ramblers and had a great atmosphere. The rooms are quaint but cosy and the bed is super soft and warm! Food was great too! Everyone was very welcoming and we will definitely return.
