Stayed the first time by pure accident as we couldn't find the original campsite we booked , however the very friendly staff , the amenities and the location made this a perfect getaway. Now returned four more times , the last one being in May and plan on returning later in the year , one hint though if camping in... More

Due to limited parking at the campsite (which to be fair we were made aware of at the time of booking) we were allowed to park up for a generous 5 mins to off load all our kit, in the rain, after which time a self important guy with a radio in hand hurried us up to move our vehicle.... More

Incredibly friendly staff from start to finish which was nice. Facilities are in need of a touch-up though, showers reportedly cost 20p for about 2 minutes. Nice location and site, good sized car park though would probably recommend booking in advance.

This campsite is in a great location for the Pennine Way and other (not so busy) walks. The site itself has lovely surroundings, with a stream running passed the bottom field. It is a nice spot to pitch a tent. However... I am an avid camper and have stayed in many sites from the sublime to the bio-hazardous. Unfortunately the... More

Me and my family came here for a night and we all enjoyed it. My daughter had lots of fun running around with the other children. Very nice little family campsite. Surrounding area also very nice. All site staff very polite, helpful and because we had my daughter of 3 they found us a car parking space so we didn't... More

I camped at Fieldhead on my own for one night. I called to advise them I'd be late and asking how long I could leave my tent up the next day, as I was doing a walk. They were very friendly and when I settled up in the morning the lady knew exactly who I was and had been filled... More

Had a great time (mostly spent elsewhere) the area is fantastic and luckily there are a number of other campsites close by. Although it is a family bias site the welcome that any younger people are greeted with is very patronizing which is completely unwarranted as the only high quality aspect is the local area. Very rude staff who are... More

My son and I stayed one night prior to doing the Pennine Way. We managed to book online and arrived after the warden's office had closed. We were able to settle up in the morning when the office opened (ie at 9:00 am). The site site is very close to the train station and a couple of pubs. The site... More

I chose this site as the venue for my five year old daughters first camping adventure with my wife. The small fields, noise curfew and bias towards family / DofE groups suited our needs and Edale is properly pretty. The washing facilities although complete do need some updating which is something I'd read about in Tripadvisor, and I agree. The... More

We have just stayed for a couple of nights and couldn't have been happier with the campsite. We had a friendly welcome and found a great pitch. The campsite was full but didn't feel at all over crowded. The bathrooms could do with an update but we're clean and had hot water, much better than some I've seen! Toilet roll... More
