The room was very small and poorly ventilated. Uncomfortably warm with only a fan, no a/c made for difficult sleeping. Small but modern bathroom. Very attractive grounds, made for enjoyable outdoor eating. Was there during Ramadan. Had some difficulty in getting laundry returned but in the end it worked out.

I stayed at Serena Shigar Fort for 1 night on my honeymoon. The fort is rich in history and well preserved. The location is also very ideal. It is between Skardu Airport and Serena Khaplu Palace. Furthermore, rooms are very beautifully decorated and goes by hotel theme. Overall it was very peaceful stay. I highly recommend this hotel for couples...

The staff is very hospitable. We arrived at 4 in the morning and they accommodated us and looked after our needs. The rooms are beautiful where trend meets tradition. Palace walls are preserved as they were. Excellent restoration done by Serena. A comfortable pleasant stay and also a great value for money.

This 17th century Fortress now converted to a museum and luxury hotel residence was mentioned in some documentaries and books. So we had high hopes of it. A long way east off the Karakoram Highway. Across the beautiful plains of Deosai National Park into Shigar valley. What a surprise: out of no where, come to this secluded, highly civilized little...

Its a small themed hotel with just 20 rooms/ suites. We went for lunch and enjoyed the local Balti cuisine. Mamtu, the steamed dumplings and Chapshoro, the meat stuffed flat bread was amazing. The only reason to visit shigar was this fort which is very well maintained. Went there for lunch but our waiter said we have to wait for at least 1 hour for the food and they can only offer soup if we are in hurry . but soup also took 20 mins and taste was just Ok.
