Pros: Excellent location away from city center but only 10 minute ride via taxi or hotel shuttle. ($ for hotel shuttle) Staff- very friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. Be prepared to walk, as this beautiful property is built into the hillside. Breakfast buffet with multiple options. Salt water pool with views of the Aegean Sea. Cons 3 nights of no hot water. Maintenance came, had hot water. Got into shower and it was barely warm. Travel companions had intermittent same issue. Asked to speak with the general manager 3 times, but was never contacted back. This is very perplexing. I normally bring a group of 6 - 13 travelers when I come to the Cyclades islands from the US. The issue with the hot water and lack of return contact from the gm will be a major consideration when we decide which location we come back to. Other than that, I give this facility a thumbs up.

Room Tip: Be sure to do the Delos tour. Pool is not heated. Not a good choice for those with mobility issues.

Stayed 6 nights which didn't start well. Had shuttle pick up at airport. Found driver and said we would wait outside as airport incredibly hot. We were not more than 10 metres away. Kept eye on the door for driver as he was waiting for other guests. We got left behind. Our fault I suppose. Luckily we could get a taxi to the hotel for 30 euro. Check in was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. You go on the deck for a drink. Nice. Then go back inside to pay holiday tax. Then go outside where you arrive to point out your luggage for delivery. Not streamlined at all. Our room was lovely and house keeping was excellent. Keep in mind if your 5 foot you will struggle to get in the shower over the bath. The side is really too high. Breakfast had a great range of food and staff great. Except for lass who wears glasses that asks for your room number when entering. Not once in a week did she say good morning. Just got barked room number. Very aggressive and in the wrong job. They were the only words spoken in a week to us by her. Room number. No guidance after as to sit wherever or what we should do. She just wanted our room number. The end. Really bad attitude and should be no where near guests. The pool and all the team around it were just brilliant as was the food. The night before check out, once again struck by the weird stream lining of the front of house. There is a shuttle into town that you book with concierge. But if you book shuttle to airport you go to reception. So we had to go to two places to book to go to town for dinner and to get to airport. Not a biggie. Just strange. Overall a decent stay that would have been perfect except for lass at breakfast. She does your hotel no favours.

we booked an executive sea view room, and have to say was a little disappointed with the room - two single beds pushed together, when i complained they rectified by providing a double quilt at least which still wasn't up to scratch for a 3 night stay that cost over £1000 ! the room itself was clean, small balcony but a stunning view. some of the cheaper rooms had similar views, and larger outdoor areas so in hindsight i would not upgrade again. the hotel itself is stunning, great pool area and access to the beach. immaculate everywhere and didn't spot one thing wrong. food was lovely and good value compared to other places we ate. very laid back so no good if you want to party. its a bit out of the way and the complementary shuttle bus isn't always available so we found a local taxi firm which was more reliable and cheaper. would defiantly stay again and recommend it - just wish we'd had the double bed we booked and paid for.

This hotel has a great view, a well run shuttle service, an okay pool (Saltwater) and beach area with great staff at the pool but it stops there. This hotel is by no stretch a 5 star the rooms are tired and dated and the pool and communal areas are run down and dirty. Our room was pokey and the bathroom mouldy so much so i was loathed to let my two year old use it. There is zero atmosphere in either the restaurant or the bar at reception (which is a shame as this should be a highlight as it has the best view). But the main issue is the rude and arrogant staff on the front desk who treat you as an inconvenience rather than a guest. never have i had service like that in a hotel proclaiming to be 5 star. its quite obvious you are paying a premium for the location and the island but im my opinion you shouldn't charge five star prices if you are going to offer two star service - stay elsewhere there are nicer hotel on Mykonos.

Beware Booking.com for hotel and flights, yiu ger forwarded without warning to lastminute.com, most agents on their Helopdesk did not know this and were unhelpful with issues, lastminute.com have also been useless at helping with some issues - wish I had never used them/. Hotel has been helpful so fat with my queries

I would recommend Saint John Hotel Villas & Spa to everyone! Absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning views and excellent facilities. Every single member of staff could not have done more for us. The service, food and whole hotel experience made this holiday for us and we're already booking for next year. It's everything we wanted. Never a problem finding available sunbeds (and cabanas), more than enough to go around. The pools are large, clean and perfect to take a break from the fantastic weather. Some have reviewed the wind-factor, but we saw this as welcome respite from the amazing sunshine and were almost a bonus! A 15 minute cab ride from town, too – but not sure why you'd leave this hotel too often. Symposium restaurant visit on the top floor is a MUST.

Bad Terrible experience with the front desk that cannot make up for the nice views - we could not wait to leave! Rude reception staff, when asked about details of the bill she rolled her eyes and got impatient, when asked about our airport transfer she picked up the phone and ignored us, refused to give us 1hour later check out even they were not full after 3 nights stay, never gave us water without asking (when we called they say only 2bottles of water per day even though we paid for 3 people in one room), one day house keeping did not give us any towels at all, after they insisted us to check out at 11 sharp we packed all luggages and asked them to help move them out of the room while we had breakfast, they lost one Sephora shopping bag and simply said its not there anymore thats it. Simply horrible and not up to a 5 star hotel standard! Shower, bath is leaking flooding the floor Internet did not work properly at pool and beach, on and off in the room Highlights Manager of the breakfast restaurant is so friendly, wish he could take over to manage the front desk Pool staff are nice View if the pool is very nice Complimentary transfer to airport, free shuttle to downtown

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in July and we had booked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service we received was exceptional there was a small mix up with transfers but the issue was resolved very quickly. We were upgraded to a private villa suite by Mr Panos. What an amazing gentleman including all the staff. We had a beautiful anniversary and loved our stay at the Hotel. We will be coming again. Thank you for an absolutely breathtaking stay!!

I went for a family vacation. This is a hotel with a price towards the upper range but the service is of excellent quality. Nice rooms and well maintained. Ocean view rooms give excellent sunset and sea view with a balcony. There are nice restaurants and bars. The food was excellent but the menu is fixed and after few days you will run out of options.

I have eaten at the finest restaurants over the length and breadth of this earth and with that in mind wish to compliment the symposium restaurant at St Johns as they deliver the true package The food is the best food we have eaten in Greece but in all success stories the staff play a huge part Both Marias Anastasia George and of course the manager Dionysius are so hospitable its definately the greatest service in not only Mykons but also Greece I really congratulate St johns management for piecing together such an amazing place Maria Capsalis and Greg Bates
