We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights after coming from Athens. The hotel was incredible. We were picked up from the port via complimentary transport and then had a welcome drink when we arrived. We were blown away by the resort and facilities. The views from the hotel over the Mykonos island were incredible and the rooms were clean. Our bed was huge and so comfortable with fluffy pillows and soft sheets. The hotel is great as it has a pool, viewing deck and beach.. all you could want from it which is hard to find and a decent location on the island. As for the staff they were amazing! Their poolside and dinner service was incredible and it was lovely to see their smiling faces everyday. We noticed they got up quite early to throughly wipe down the viewing platform and poolside and it’s clear to see how hard everyone worked. The breakfast buffet was incredible too with loads of options. We used the complimentary shuttle service into town most evenings which was perfect and makes it so much easier to get round the time. Overall we would come back time and time again to this hotel and not even consider going elsewhere!…
Had the most incredible stay at Saint James hotel. The staff were beyond accommodating & amazing, making our stay extra special. I emailed to see if I could reserve a day bed by the pool on my birthday, which they made an exception for. Along with surprising me with a gorgeous birthday cake & sparklers. They were quick to upgrade our room twice, once upon arrival & about 2 days in for another. Both for very small issues, as well as gifting us a beautiful fruit tray, white wine & olive oils. We were offered complimentary cocktails upon arrival & welcomed by the very sweet Sofia. The breakfast bar offered the most broad & tastiest selection of food, that I have ever had the pleasure of having at any hotel. The whole site is breathtakingly beautiful, offering loads of choices for food & relaxation. Making it almost near impossible to need or want to go anywhere else, as it is so perfect! Again the staff are an incredible asset to the hotel and can’t imagine our experience being as wonderful without them. Beyond 5 stars over all & couldn’t recommend enough! ✨…
Our holiday at St John's Hotel and Villas in July 2020 after a long London lockdown was sensational - like an exquisite meal when you're really hungry. . We arrived when the Island was unbelievably quiet, when it had no cases, and beaches, restaurants and villages which would normally be teeming with party goers were quiet with a wonderful local atmosphere. . The St. John Hotel is perfect - a few minutes drive from Mykonos town, set above the Shirley Valentine beach of Agios Ionnis, built in the style of an old Mykonos village with the best views and sunset on the island . The best thing of all was he kindness and hospitality of the St. John staff: the two Efie's on reception, Anna Maria in reservations, Vasilis and team on the concierge, Kostas in Room service and everyone from the housekeeping to the porters were friendly and fun and super professional. The beach directly connected to the hotel is small but I walked every morning to Agios Ionnis and swam. you could take a boat to Delos from the jetty below, drive to the nearby village Ornos in a couple of minutes. There are many lovely restaurants nearby - Hippie Fish just below, Kuzina in Ornos, Buddha Bar a few minutes away. And to keep it real - take away souvlaki plus drinks for the whole family from a family tavenrn n Ornos, cost 13 euros, perfect on the beach for dinner. We absolutely loved it - booked for four days and couldn't leave and can't wait to go back. …
This hotel is absolutely amazing, from the stunning pools to the beautiful views and the food was the best food we have ever had in an all inclusive hotel. Everything was so fresh and done with care, we loved eating here every morning for breakfast and lunch. Our room was lovely and quiet and had an amazing sea view which was a dream to wake up to every morning. The staff at the hotel are all wonderful and so friendly but we wanted to mention 3 people in particular who made our stay better. Dassos was the pool guy who handed out all the towels and made the sunbeds up for you every morning, he was so friendly and chatty and really enjoyed speaking to him every morning we went to the pool or beach. Lia worked at reception and very helpful with advice and recommendations for us to try, she was so lovely. Sophia worked behind the bar and all I can say is you must try her cocktails! She's the best cocktail maker we have ever had and was just brilliant. We were so sad to leave as we knew we would never get to try her cocktails again!!!! Overall it was a lovely and relaxing break and if we ever go to Mykonos again we would definitely be booking this hotel. …
This is a place you will love for sure. The hotel has a spectacular view of the sea: its in a bay calm and peaceful, not windy. The structure is very well maintained and clean. Our stay was very good not only for the place but especially for the staff. Everybody was so kind and courteous, in particular the people at the pool and the beach, very helpful. A special mention to Ditrimis and Eleni who welcome us every morning at breakfast as we were at home, always with smile and kindness. They were so sweet and help us with anything we need, especially with the baby since it was our first holiday with him. They well managed all the staff and made us feel very well treated so that we decided to come back again in the hotel for another special stay in Mykonos.
Such a wonderful resort! Everything from the pools, the stunning view, the options for breakfast, the staff (except one), the rooms, and the evening restaurant! Now you must be wondering why I have given it 4 stars then? And I would have given 5 stars easily, if it wasn’t for the following: 1) the massage spa experience due to the manager there called viviana - she was rude, abrupt, unfriendly and did not represent the hotel in a good light. We negotiated with her a massage for 60 minutes for three of us, for 120 euros each, which included the use of the spa facilities. She was constantly bargaining with us to pay more, and tried to negotiate a higher price, even tho we agreed beforehand the price. Secondly, she got two of her assistants to give us the massage (Melanie and christiana) - who were lovely, friendly and very good at what they do. We used the sauna before, and a very cold inefficient steam room, which we told her about and did nothing to rectify. Then after the massage we wanted to use the jacuzzi/side pool to the massage - in which she just said ‘No’ - even tho we paid for it, no explanation why. After the massage we were given a glass of water, in which my friend accidentally dropped and we told vivianna about, and apologised for, in which she rudely gave us a look of anger. Such a shame as the facilities are lovely - but the lady spoils it, so be careful with her. 2) me and my friends are very keen tennis players, and the court overlooked the sea - all I can say is, what a beautiful view! It was just such a shame that the tennis rackets provided are old, the grip on them has disintegrated, and the surface of the court needs some desperate maintenance as it badly effects the bounce. They provided 2/3 worse for wear balls, which were not in a good state to play with. This was related to reception - in which they reassured us that this will be rectified in the near future. Apart from that, the hotel is wonderful, the people are incredibly friendly, kind and helpful - I have to specially mention Tasos and Katerina from the pool area who were wonderful with us, and Christina from reception who was so helpful throughout. You should definitely stay here when visiting Mykonos if you get the chance.…
I am utterly thrilled with my choice to come and stay for a week here. I've managed to relax like never before and I leave feeling so incredibly grateful. The location is exquisite. We had the most beautiful view of the island of Delos etc. from our glorious balcony, where we sat in the evenings, totally carefree. Rooms are sparkling clean, and interactions with cleaning staff really easy and I appreciate how accommodating and kind they were. The reception staff here are so intelligent, kind and responsive. I've stayed in many places and I'll remember these lovely people with fondness, from our arrival and the sweet offer of a drink on the reception balcony after a fairly long journey. Ermina was just so friendly. And not over-effusive, which I do not enjoy. Exactly the kind of welcome that makes me relaxed. Nikos at reception also deserves a special mention. He arranged many things for us, so that we were very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact every member of staff at reception contributed to our great stay. The breakfast room staff was also so sweet. I watched them accommodate many people's different requests with aplomb. That's not easy. I was very impressed by this. I notice all the details. And I come from a hotel background. So I don't bother writing reviews unless I've received this kind of service. I'd also like to mention the restaurant staff and the pool area staff. The warmth & friendliness is genuine and the gentleman in the pool area deserves a special mention for his willingness to help carrying heavy items and making it clear that it really was no trouble at all. Every single member of staff has added to a stay that has made a great difference to me. A stay in a place such as this can make a difference far beyond what can be described in words. And this has been such a place for me. My friend and I are very happy to recommend a stay here. The location is perfect. I really enjoyed the peace here. And the sea! The food and drinks. And how every detail contributed to me leaving relaxed & happy, which is something I value very highly. Thank you.…
After in depth research of what seemed like dozens of hotels, we settled on the Saint John and I’m SO glad we did. I do not have a single complaint about this hotel. It’s staff and everything about the hotel itself is pure class and luxury. Sure it is expensive however as with most things in life you get what you pay for. It’s no more expensive than the rest of the island. You don’t go to Mykonos on a budget! The food available in the hotels gorgeous three restaurants is simply superb. Everything was fresh, delicious and piping hot (even at the most wonderful breakfast buffet.) We literally enjoyed every bite of everything we had. Thank you to a few incredible people who took care of us for the week and made our holiday extra special. Anastasia at breakfast. Olga and Mike at the beach/pool restaurant Breeze. Sofia in the lobby bar. The room itself was perfect and comfortable with room in the fridge for your own drinks if needed. 2 small bottles of water, coffee and tea for the maker are provided every day. There is a mini mart down the hill about a 10 minute walk away along with about 4 restaurants. It’s a very steep hill. The hotel provides a free shuttle into Mykonos Town every day from 6pm and the returns start at 9:30pm. You have to book with concierge and you have to do that early on the day otherwise it will be booked. The hotel can also arrange private transfers for €25 each way which was reasonable as a taxi was €20 but getting one can be tricky. Lastly the scenery is just stunning. Everywhere you look there is beauty. The hotel was clean everywhere and all Covid rules/regulations were being followed well. I would return in a heart beat and recommend heartily to you.…
Luxury from the beginning to the end. The staff can’t do enough for you, the views are breathtaking, so many picture opportunities around the hotel. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, and a couple of different restaurants to choose from for lunch. They also offered complimentary transfers to and from the port, and to Mykonos town on the night time. Only downside is that there aren’t any shops or restaurants near the hotel Best hotel I’ve stayed in by far!
My girlfriend and I visited St John’s for 9 nights from September 10th. It was our first ‘sunny’ holiday out of the U.K. since the start of the pandemic - and it certainly didn’t disappoint. A stunning hotel located just out of Ornos, with its own private beach and saltwater swimming / infinity pool, we found the location perfect and easily spent 4/5 of our days lounging around the pool and beach - the hotels free shuttle service meant we could easily get in and out of Mykonos Town in the evening when we wanted to go out to eat. The hotels biggest asset is its staff - all of whom cannot do enough for you. Every waiter / waitress / concierge / chef at breakfast were so accommodating and willing to help in every way possible. The breakfast was a great spread of food which has something for everyone - iced coffees went down a treat too! The reception and travel desk team were extremely helpful throughout our stay - and got it off to the best possible start with giving us a bellini on arrival! The pool team were great at setting up sunbeds/ providing towels and delivering food and drink immediately - despite the weather being close to 35 degrees some days. The shuttle service was also prompt and the driver was always friendly, whilst the cleaners were always smiling and respectful of whenever we wanted our room cleaning. We ate at the hotels restaurant on our final night - and consistent with the rest of our stay, the food was immense and beautifully presented. Our room had a partial sea view and satisfied all of our needs throughout our stay We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - in terms of value, facilities and staff. Thank you St John’s - you have given us a much needed break from work and the lousy English weather! Joe & Lucie.…
