I am writing this review on my way from this hotel back to the port. I have just spent 5 nights in this hotel (feels hard even calling it a hotel as it’s more of a b&b with some old stalker man following you at your every move.) on arrival the owner comes across as a very open and friendly man until it comes to the stage where I was walking around the hotel on the main road to get the the pool just trying to avoid the part of the hotel where there are tables that should be for guests to relax but instead he had his permanent table in the corner where he would sit for hours each day smoking and making comments at you as you passed. I have been in hotels all over the world with my family of all different stars and ratings and I have never written a bad review in my entire life as I think all hotels are to there own but I am in complete shock after just being thrown out of the hotel reception. We had checked out this morning and we’re told we were allowed to leave our bags in reception which was all good so we had spend the day at the beach and came back to the grumpy man who walks around shoe less as if he is in his own house and you are just a person uncomfortably staying in his house. He came into reception where I was with my family shouting and giving out that we had dirtied his seats and wet his floor which was none of the above. At the rate he was going you would swear he was the owner of the Waldorf Astoria when really his hotels reception looked like my grandmothers living room and I would never willingly sit there if you paid me too. The hotel does not even sell a bottle of water and if you come back after 12 it feels like a ghost town with the whole reception shut so you wouldn’t want to be dying of thirst or locked out of your room cause no one will be available to help you that’s be sure. He had different attitudes to all guests which I can clearly see reading these reviews. I can clearly see I got on his bad side from the start of our stay as I asked him about the wifi seeing as there was no service in our bedroom and I had 3 teenagers it wasn’t very ideal. The next day he came over saying he got the wifi fixed and informed us it cost him €1600 as if it was our fault and we should be paying for it. The wifi still was only 1 bar and barely worked but I couldn’t bare going back to him about it as we tried to avoid him at all costs. One night my daughters were told by him to get into there rooms and go to bed as if he was there father or they were in a camp. This hotel is very misleading with the location as it is definitely not as close to the beach as it states and you have so much more options of lovely hotels on the beachfront for much cheaper prices and way better location. This was my third island on this 2 week holiday and even though the hotel was the most expensive it was 100% the worst. The woman at reception was very lovely and helpful and so were the cleaning staff in passing but that owner of a man Yannis just brought the whole vibe of the hotel down.

I have never had to write a review for a hotel in my life before. But this stay was definitely review needed to help others looking to stay in Naxos. I stayed in Villa Adriana for 5 nights. The owner of this hotel “Yannis” is the most unfriendly and agressive person I have ever met. We had to avoid the hotel as much as we could during our stay just to not have to see the owner. He started by barging into our rooms on our first couple days without knocking just to announce things about his “spectacular” room, we let this slide although we thought it was weird but things only got worse. The beach is not near the hotel although he claims it’s a 10 min walk on his website and as the pool is really un inviting and closed off we did take to the beach, this made him angry and he started getting moody with us ( we also didn’t complain about the pool to him he just went into a fuss on his own accord) on the last night the door to the second bedroom broke and we couldn’t get into it so my mum went to reception nobody was there so we went back to our rooms. That’s when we heard his voice screaming outside our door at the family staying next door who’s kids had found a spider and were being kids and giggling and letting the odd scream out harmlessly. He screamed at them to “go back to their rooms right now and to not make another noise” it was 11:45 pm. Seeing he was there we went out and told him our room was broken and we couldn’t get into our room he said “ he didn’t care and to go back to our room” my mum and sister then had to sleep on the couch. The next morning he came in and screamed at my mum when she said it was broken and that she wasn’t happy he produced a key and unlocked the door, we had never been informed about an indoor key that was the only way to open the bedroom when it was fully closed, when he opened the door there was a key on the other side. My mum said she hadn’t been told about this and he should inform other guests in the future. He said “this is how it works here” and stormed out and slammed the door behind him. My mum told him she would be writing a review and he goes “write your review I don’t care I’ll still have my full hotel” we thought that was the worst is could be until the following day when we were checking out we’d be informed by the receptionist who’s unbelievably nice that we could leave our bags in reception in the corner until we had to leave to get our ferry. We left our rooms spotless and cleared out before check out at 11 am and headed out for the day with our bags in reception, when we returned to take our bags and leave he walked in and started screaming at all of us that we had left a mess and stained his couches, there was no bags near the couches and we hadn’t even been in reception for more than 60 seconds that day. When we talked back in shock and explained we hadn’t even gone near his couch he picked up our bags and threw them out of the hotel and “kicked us out” while doing this he was also shouting at another couple making the women cry because she had explained that she hadn’t been given the right room. We were also talking to another family who told us he had followed them to the beach and asked one of them out on a date and when declined he got in a bad mood and ignored them. I advise everyone to read the bad reviews too because we didn’t when booking and we got a shock, but when checking reviews after our stay we realised a lot of people had experienced the same thing. There are also lovely hotels on the beach front for the same price with beds available on the beach, we sadly missed these when looking for hotels. I will never be returning to this hotel and I’d encourage you find somewhere else and read all reviews .

Response from Yiannis Kerras, Owner at Villa Adriana Hotel

We are really sad that you write such things fot the hotel. The internal door has a key to open and you left it inside your room that is why you were locked out. The reseption is closed at midnight which you've been informed. On your check out the room was dirty and you took towels for the beach with you which you returned really dirty. when you returned to take your lyggages you put them on the sofas which this maid to leave stains on the cushions. The beach is exactly 10 minutes walkind distance from the hotel such as the village of Agios Prokopios.

Nice hosts, offered a good, free and efficient transfer service. Welcome drinks on arrival. Lovely clean rooms. Spacious shower. Good facilities and amenities. Good size pool for those that like the pool, and a good location. Bus stop 1 min walk away, closest beach a 10 min walk away, which is one of the nicest. You can also walk, (10-30mins) or get a short bus ride to the next 2 beaches. Tavernas, shops and beach bars also within a 10 min walk. Different lighting options for bedroom, which was nice. The WiFi connection wasn’t very good, and there wasn’t much of a view (We didn’t expect a view, so wasn’t an issue). But the hotel is great!

We had great 10 night stay at Villa Adriana in August. We were looked after well and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Yannis the owner is a lovely genuine guy who wants to ensure your stay is a good as possible. The hotel is spotless and in a lovely quiet location, only 10 mins walk to the main beach/Tavernas. Lovely modern features in the room, which was very comfortable. The staff helped us with restaurant recommendations, quad bike hire and places/beaches to visit. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed here in June for 3 nights and had the most amazing room! Huge balcony with table chairs and sunbeds. The owner Yannis met us at the port and then gave us advice on where to eat in the village, very good recommendations too! It was a walk to the beach but there was a path by the side of the hotel that took us down past the Red Lakes, this brought us out in the middle of the beach so was a lot quieter but still had lots of sunbeds. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here because of a friend’s recommendation. This hotel is spotless. Extremely clean with a very friendly staff. The visit included daily breakfast and airport pick up. The owner is a wonderful concierge as well. Made our visit to the island ever so pleasant.

We had a fantastic stay at this newly refurbished hotel. It’s a fairly small and very well maintained family hotel. It’s on a quiet road close to the beach and near enough to the shops and restaurants but far away from any noise of people and traffic. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very newly modernised. Mattress and bed linen were of high quality and Yiannis and his sister made us feel at home. They arranged for a car hire, which was cheaper then anywhere we had found and Yiannis even gave us a lift to the port when we were leaving. Thoroughly recommended. 5 stars all round!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and truly loved it. We had a Superior Studio room and it was perfect. It was very clean, modern, shower was excellent and loved having the little kitchenette and refrigerator to keep some drinks and snacks. The entire property was immaculate including the pool. The owners and staff were very kind and helpful. They provided free pick up at the airport and drop off at the ferry port which was very convenient. The property is approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach and lots of restaurants, super market and rental car offices. The bus stop is 1 minute walk from property. The entire area felt very safe. Would highly recommend and would certainly go back!
