This hotel provided a fantastic introduction to Greek island life! We stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite with beautiful views of the sea in two directions. The rooms were clean and well appointed; the shower was enormous and the kitchenette was perfectly sized to hold a few snacks and beverages. The location was perfect; a quick drive to the airport, beach, or town. However, what really made this place special was the staff! Each interaction was better than the next…whether it was the perfectly laid out breakfast or advice on how to spend our days in the island, we felt as if every need was looked after!!!

We were lucky enough to stay in this wonderful collection of villas. Unfortunately due to the pandemic it was quite quiet so we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom/2 bath villa with a private pool. The complex was situated conveniently to the beach and the town. Sophia who was at the front desk was so very helpful and accommodating. We even rented a car right from the property. This was a rare glimpse at a beautiful place without a lot of other guests.

Just stayed with 4 couples at Naxion collection hotel. Fabulous experience. Loved the rooms, private pools, delicious daily breakfast and the staff and service was excellent. They helped organize our dinner reservations and transportation and we enjoyed drinks at their bar before dinner. A wonderful experience!

This is a small island that lives mostly off of tourism and their local produce and ingredients which are considered some of the best in Greece. As mainland Greece, people are friendly, helpful and happy. Very proud of their country. The villas are very comfortable, spacious and airy. Not a lot of frills. The bar is impressively well stocked for a small location, and the food and the restaurant is actually very good. They take Nespresso coffee and make a very serious latte, a latte that makes you happy! Magic! And on a wind controlled day, they grill Naxian meats to perfection, counter-side! Also their coffee frappe is delectable. A lot of the staff is young and in training, so don’t hold that against them because they aim to make you happy. And they are happy doing it. However, this hotel for all that luxury in name, skimps on simple offerings such as olives and nuts at the bar or welcome reception and while it has a sister hotel by the ocean, The location that our travel agent picked for us is on a very narrow road. Not having done our homework in depth before we left home, we trusted our adventure to our vacation agency. Taxi is extremely expensive on the island, and we were not told it was better to rent a car and take care of life in your hands… But you have a serious death wish if you try to walk from this hotel into town. Cars come fast and there are no sidewalks, making for an adrenaline pumping strong. The town is barely 10 minutes down the road, or a three minute car ride. Expect to pay €20-€30 for a three minute ride. For the inconvenience, and the fact that the hotel does not have a shuttle, it cannot be a four or five star luxury location. Even though the people that work here are 10 stars in service, professionalism, attitude and personality!

As a family we book hotels based on a heavy criteria of luxury & location. The Naxian quote simply did not meet those expectations. The hotel is run by a juvenile staff-they are aggravated & arrogant. The breakfast is less than desirable and hardly what one would call a typical “Greek spread” It’s not all together horrible but the price does not justify the stay. They tried their best but the whole experience fell flat. Save your money and go to Paros instead.

We fell in love with this villa and this island. We never expected to enjoy out stop in Naxos so much. The staff were so friendly and helpful with planning and service. They helped us arrange car rental as soon as we arrived and greeted us with a drink and fruit bowl. It felt like a bed and breakfast but the villas had plenty of space and gorgeous countryside views. We had a beautiful private pool and outdoor sitting area on our balcony. It felt like we were the only people on the island when we were at our villa. We did have to rent a car to get to any restaurants or sites as villa is not really within walking distance to these other areas but it was close enough to taxi if you prefer.

We stayed at the Naxion Collection for 4 nights and were looked after from the moment we arrived with very friendly and efficient staff, who to be honest couldn’t do enough for you. Georgia was a super host and knew exactly how to look after everyone.
So here it is, Naxian is undoubtedly a very nice place to stay, informal, and has Greek charm along great food. Set up high with views of the castle and port. 10 mins by taxi to the local town and the beach 15 mins walk with local bars and restaurants and it’s a great place to spend the day and also have dinner.

Thank you Naxion Collection.

Hotel is beautiful. The service is top notch. However, you need to take a taxi everywhere. If accommodating. ooking g for a relaxing time this is the place to be. Good liquor selection and a 20 to 30 walk to the beach. Their on call taxi driver Petro is the best and very informative accomdating. Their tour guide Costas is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and will greet you with a smile. I'm forgetting his name but the waiter is the most humble and gracious man I've met my entire trip.

Our family of 6 travelled to Greece for the first time in June 2022. The Island of Naxos was recommended to us and we are so glad that we went there and that we stayed at the Naxian Collection! We were warmly welcomed and offered drink as our host sat down with us to explain the property and gave us wonderful recommendations for exploring the island. The entire staff was accommodating and friendly helping us arrange a rental car for a day to explore the mountain villages, ATV's another day to explore the beaches and towns. We enjoyed beautiful rooms with modern amenities, a private pool, delicious breakfasts in an amazing setting. Thank you to everyone at Naxian Collection for making our stay so special. We will be back!

I’m so happy to here in Greece, as free as you can be away from Covid19. I was scared to come due to all the COVID issues and planes etc. but I love this place and the people are very nice. The hotel rooms are new and the decor is really nice, chic, clean, tasteful and attention to detail.
Away from the city which made it relaxing but only two minutes away from the beach.
Go to Tortuga at Plaka and you will enjoy five star beach accommodation, good food and nice drink.

About 10 min by car. The congenial owner operator couple can oblige. Best is to rent a small car and kick around the island. Magic.

Not inside villas. Resort offers one price service between 10-15 euros per laundry bag in bulk not per item. Good deal I reckoned.

Are there walking/hiking trails nearby or easily reached by bus? Thanks!
Hoedspruit, South Africa73 contributions29 helpful votes
It would be best to check with the Hotel. We rented a car with the concierge which gave us a lot of flexibility to reach many of the wonderful places on the Island, which is large. There are wonderful trails in the centre of the Island. I'm sure there is is a bus service headed there - about a 40 minute trip!

One other consideration is that Naxian on the Beach is exclusively for couples where the Nacion Collection has larger suites that can fit a family if needed. The private/shared pools at Naxian Collection were great though and we loved our room and the service there.
